This research aims to identify the best practices implemented by school teachers in Palestine online during COVID-19. A qualitative approach was used to explore in-depth the best practices through two focus group sessions composed of 24 different specialty teachers from different schools. Moreover, semi-structured interviews with 10 teachers were also conducted to listen to their lived experiences and how they sustain teaching and communicating with their students. A grounded theory was used to analyze and categorize the qualitative data. The findings of this study are unique and novel since no other studies related to online learning were done during COVID- 19 in Palestine to support best practices that teachers should adopt. Moreover, the results will benefit teachers to rejuvenate and adapt their methods and strategies in different ways to fit learners’ needs. The results revealed that teachers use many free tools such as Google Classroom and Zoom and spend a lot of time understanding and learning about these tools. Teachers were eager to explore and use new teaching strategies to engage their students and support them emotionally during the COVID-19 crisis. Additionally, teachers were committed to their social responsibilities during the crisis, weremotivatedand self-learners, as they asserted by exchanging experiences with colleagues. This study could be used to adapt experiences to other scenarios, so teachers can benefit from the findings of the studyand can transfer them to other contexts. It is recommended to conduct a mixed approach for generalization purposes for further investigation.

The topic of alcohol consumption and conflicts has been explored in several context not only because consumers do not have a good consumption culture, but also because alcohol consumption often leads to social violence (Nasse, 2018; Nasse, Ouédraogo & Diop, 2019). Most of the studies on the topic are done in other contexts. Little research on the subject has been conducted in Burkina Faso. Therefore, this research aims to explore the concepts of alcohol consumption and conflicts in the context. Burkina Faso is a country where religion plays a significant role. However, alcohol consumption is increasing (Sow, 2005), even among consumers who are believers, but ignorance in the sector of marketing seems to be a barrier that favors unethical consumption. The research is a mixed approach. The qualitative data collection is performed with a voice recorder by the means of some semi-structured interviews. Then, the qualitative data is transcribed by hand. The quantitative data is collected by the means of a questionnaire. The qualitative data and the quantitative data are performed using sphinx IQ software. The results show that social class moderates the relationship between alcohol consumption and conflicts.

Volunteer scholarship in Zimbabwe tends to focus on volunteer motivations, volunteers’ role in community development and, to a lesser extent, volunteers’ challenges. In this study, we captured the lived experiences of volunteers in the current milieu of socio-economic challenges. We discovered that the major challenges affecting community volunteers in the Chegutu District are poverty and vulnerability, burnout, too much work, lack of community appreciation of volunteerism and lack of adequate volunteer paraphernalia. We move beyond other studies to explore how volunteers are coping with the challenges. Volunteers are reliant on spiritual support and encouragement by some community members. The study adopts a qualitative approach with data collected using in-depth interviews and focus group discussion. The findings are presented and discussed thematically.

Our study aimed to explore the factors limiting the development of the organic food sector in Poland from the perspective of processing, distributing, and retailing companies. We used a qualitative approach with in-depth semi-structured interviews with the management board representatives of 17 large- and medium-sized enterprises and the owners of 10 small and medium companies. The potential limiting factors, including legal, economic, technological, and environmental factors, were identified by reviewing the corporate and market reports of processing and retailing companies operating in the Polish organic sector. We used a thematic analysis recommended in the literature to analyze qualitative data. The main factors indicated by the managers were the legal concerns, limitations resulting from a lack of constant supply of organic raw materials, and increased competition on domestic and international markets. In addition, business activities in the Polish organic sector were affected by the instability of the financial situation in terms of financial liquidity, adequate cost, capital structure, and credits. The results of the study may be of value for policymakers to ensure sustainable development of the organic food sector in Poland.

Whether the mother tongue (L1) should be included or excluded in foreign language classes has been debated by researchers and there is no consensus on this controversial issue.   However, most of the studies are conducted on the tertiary level, and there is very few on the primary & secondary levels.  Therefore, this study explores the perspectives of English teachers working in primary schools in comparison to high schools affiliated with national education. It also investigates for which language skills both of those groups find the use of mother tongue (Turkish) relatively effective and their justification behind the use of L1 in their classes in which English is taught as a foreign language. A total of 30 primary and 30 high school teachers working in Usak participated the study voluntarily. The study has employed mixed-method and   data was collected through a questionnaire developed by Kuru and Tekin (2019). Moreover, semi structured interviews were conducted to obtain qualitative data with randomly selected primary school (8) and high school teachers (8). By means of SPSS, descriptive statistics were conducted and qualitative data were analyzed thematically. Findings of the quantitative data indicated that majority of both primary and high school teachers support the use of mother tongue in EFL classes. Additionally, there is no significance difference between the perceptions of primary school and high school teachers regarding the use of L1. Finally, results of the qualitative data advocate the findings of the quantitative data.
