Abstract: Noise is one of the unavoidable problems as a result of technological development. Hearing loss due to noise is called sensorineural hearing loss, which is oftenly not realized because it does not disturb daily conversation. Risk factors of hearing loss are inter alia noise intensity, length of employment, length of noise exposure in a day, and the usage of Ear Protective Equipment (EPE). This study aimed to determine the relationship between noise and hearing function among ship engine technicians in Bitung Port. This was an analytical study using a cross-sectional design. Samples consisted of 20 respondents. Noise measurement obtained noise intensities of 87 dB and 93 dB. Of 20 respondents, there were 7 exposed to over a predetermined noise. The audiometric examination showed 3 of 20 respondents (15%) with hearing loss. The bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between hearing loss and noise intensity (p = 0.008). Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between noise and hearing function among ship engine technicians in Bitung port.Keywords: noise, ship engines technician, hearingAbstrak: Kebisingan merupakan salah satu masalah yang tidak dapat dihindari akibat kemajuan teknologi. Gangguan pendengaran akibat bising ialah tuli sensorineural, yang pada awalnya tidak disadari, karena belum mengganggu percakapan sehari-hari. Faktor resiko terjadinya tuli ialah antara lain intensitas bising, lama masa kerja, lama terpajan bising dalam sehari, ketaatan pemakaian Alat Pelindung Telinga (APT). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan adanya hubungan antara bising dan fungsi pendengaran pada teknisi mesin kapal yang bersandar di Pelabuhan Bitung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik dengan rancangan potong lintang. Sampel berjumlah 20 orang. Hasil pengukuran kebisingan mendapatkan intensitas bising 87 dB dan 93 dB. Dari 20 petugas hanya 7 orang yang bekerja melebihi NAB kebisingan yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil pemeriksaan dengan audiometri mendapatkan 3 orang (15%) yang menderita tuli dan 17 orang (85%) normal. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan terdapat hubungan bermakna antara gangguan pendengaran dan intensitas bising (p=0,008). Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara bising dan fungsi pendengaran pada teknisi mesin kapal di pelabuhan Bitung.Kata kunci: bising, teknisi mesin kapal, fungsi pendengaran

Pencemaran lingkungan akibat sampah plastik semakin mengkhawatirkan apabila tidak ada usaha untuk mengatasinya. Masyarakat yang kurang pengetahuan dan berperilaku buruk dalam pengelolaan sampah plastik dapat menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga dengan perilaku mengelola sampah plastik. Penelitian dilakukan di Dusun Kedesen, Desa Kradenan, Kecamatan Kaliwungu, Kabupaten Semarang Tahun 2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan studi cross sectional, dengan sampel berjumlah 74 orang yang diambil secara secara acak sederhana. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara terstruktur menggunakan kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat dengan uji statistik Kai Kuadrat (X2). Penelitian menemukan sekitar 56,8% responden berpengetahuan tidak baik dan sekitar 60,8% responden berperilaku tidak baik. Analisis bivariat menunjukan hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga dengan perilaku mengelola sampah plastik. Ada hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga dengan perilaku mengelola sampah plastik di Dusun Kedesen, Desa Kradenan, Kecamatan Kaliwungu, Kabupaten Semarang tahun 2012.Pollution caused by plastic increase worrying if there is no attempt to resolve it. Lack of knowledge and poor people’s behavior in the management of plastic waste can cause environmental and health problems. Management of plastic waste can be started from each household who produce plastic waste. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between the level of housewife’s knowledge with the behavior to manage of plastic waste at Kedesen, Kradenan Village, District Kaliwungu, Semarang in 2012. The study was analytic survey with cross-sectional design. Sample was 74 respondents with simple random sampling. Research tool used was a questionnaire. Analyzed used univariate and bivariate analysis with statistical test Chi Square(X2). The results showed 74 respondents obtained from 42 respondents (56.8%) are not well knowledgeable, 32 respondents (43.2%) both knowledgeable. There were 45 respondents (60.8%) did not have good behavior, while 29 respondents (39.2%) had good behavior. Bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge with behavior of housewives in managing plastic waste at the hamlet Kedesen. Statistical results showed the value (p = 0.000) smaller than alpha (a = 0.05). There was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge with behavior of housewife in managing plastic waste at Kedesen Hamlet, Village Kradenan, Kaliwungudistrict, Semarang regency in 2012.

Abstract: Noise is unwanted sound heard by ears. Damages of ears usually take place on the tympanic membrane or on the ossicles. Initially, there will be loss of hearing to high frequency noises, and it will gradually decrease to the lowest frequency noise. This study aimed to obtain the relationship of noise and hearing function among diesel power plant workers at PLTD Suluttenggo Manado. This was an analitycal study using a cross sectional design. Samples were 20 workers at PLTD Suluttenggo in Manado. Data were obtained by using questionnaires and examintaion of hearing function with an audiometry. The data were analyzed by using SPSS and the Spearmen test. The results showed that there were hearing impairment in 30% of the workers. According to the bivariate analysis, there was a significant relationship between the level of noise and the hearing impairment among the workers with a p value = 0.015 (p < 0.05). The most frequent hearing impairment among the workers was mixed hearing loss. Conclusion: Workers who worked in a place with high intensity noise had higher risk to develop hearing impairment.Keywords: diesel power plant machine, noise, hearingAbstrak: Kebisingan adalah suara yang tidak dikehendaki oleh telinga. Gangguan pendengaran yang paling banyak diderita oleh pekerja ialah tuli campuran (Mixed Hearing Loss). Kebisingan ruang mesin dapat menyebabkan gangguan pendengaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis prevalensi tuli akibat bising Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) dan faktor yang memengaruhi pada operator mesin kapal feri penyeberangan Ketapang-Gilimanuk. Penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, pengukuran intensitas kebisingan ruang mesin dan pemeriksaan audiometri terhadap operator. Besar sampel adalah 66 operator dari 36 kapal feri yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dipilih secara acak. Hasil studi menunjukkan 36% kapal memiliki intensitas kebisingan ² 85 dBA dan 64% > 85 dBA. Pemeriksaan audiometri dengan nada murni pada 66 operator didapatkan 34,85% responden mengalami NIHL. Hasil analisis regresi logistik menunjukkan faktor dominan yang memengaruhi NIHL adalah usia dan lama paparan (p < 0,05). Hasil uji kai kuadrat didapatkan intensitas kebisingan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap NIHL setelah dikoreksi dengan umur dan lama paparan (p < 0,05). Disarankan untuk mengurangi waktu paparan terhadap operator yang terpajan kebisingan tinggi dan menjaga jarak antara operator dengan sumber kebisingan untuk meminimalkan pajanan bising.Engine room noise can cause hearing loss. The objective of this research was to analyze the prevalence of Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) and its affecting factors on machinery ferry operators at Ketapang-Gilimanuk. This was an observational with cross sectional design, the techniques for collecting data were interviews, noise intensity measurements and audiometric examination.The sample was 66 operators who were selected randomly after inclusion. The study results showed that 36% of ferry have noise intensity ² 85 dBA and 64% have > 85 dBA. The audiometric examination with pure tone result of the 66 operators showed that 34.85% of respondent had NIHL. The age and length of exposure affected NIHL incidence (p < 0.05). While the noise intensity affected the incidence of NIHL (p > 0.05) together with age and lenght of exposure. It is important to reduce exposure time of noisy operations on workers, automation of activities and increase the distance between workers and noisy equipment to minimise the noise exposure.

Background: Along with the development of processing goods using machine tools and equipment as well as the use of chemicals, one of the impacts is loud or noisy sound, which can be interpreted as unwanted sound or exceeding threshold and has an opportunity to damage hearing so that can be detrimental. Purpose: To analyze the relationship between the noise intensity and worker’s characteristics with hearing disorders at the Dental Engineering Laboratory in the Jakarta area in 2020. Method: This research was an analytical study with a descriptive cross-sectional design with a sample of 30 dental technicians who work in a dental engineering laboratory in the Jakarta area. Each area is taken 6 people. Measurement of noise in the laboratory with a sound level meter and measurement of hearing loss with audiometry. Result: Workers whose noise intensity is >85 dBA have hearing loss, workers whose noise intensity is 85 dBA, 4 people who have hearing loss, workers aged >40 years have hearing loss, while among workers aged ≤40 years, there are 7 people experiencing hearing disorders. workers with >5 years of service experience hearing loss, while among workers 5 years of service, none have hearing loss. Conclusion: There is a significant between noise intensity with hearing loss (p-value = 0.011), it isn’t significant between age with hearing loss (p-value = 0.0563), and it isn’t significant between tenure with hearing loss (p-value = 0.06).

Abstrac: Noise is unwanted sound such  as noise that comes from. Noise at high intensity that long exposes to people  can cause interference both on auditory and also on non-auditory functions. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of noise diesel electric welding machine to the auditory function, both subjective and objective.This research is an analytic survey with a cross-sectional design. The Population samples are from 30 people that wasobtained through questionnaire. Then performedin the examinationofauditory function using audiometer in Prof. dr.R. DKandou General Hospital Manado. Previous measurement of  noise levels welding workshop conducted by measuring the Sound Level Meter. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Product and Service Solution Program (SPSS) and using Fisher's Exact test.The results show that workers with exposure noise  > 90 dB, a total of  27 workers with a percentage (90%) have hearing loss and 3 workers with the percentage (10%) do not hearing loss. Analytical results obtained by Fisher’s Exact show that there is a significant relationship between the effect of noise on hearing function (p = 0,002). Conclusion: Based on these results it can be concluded, that there is a significant relationship between the effect of noise on significan hearing function. Key Words: Noise, Hearing Function   Abstrak: Kebisingan adalah suara yang tidak dikehendaki seperti  suara yang bersumber dari bising mesin las disel listrik. Kebisingan pada intensitas tinggi dan dipaparkan dengan jangka waktu yang lama pada orang  dapat menimbulkan gangguan fungsi pendengaran dan juga pada fungsi non pendengaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh kebisingan mesin las disel listrik terhadap fungsi pendengaran, baik subjektif dan objektif.Penelitian ini bersifat survey analitik dengan desain potong lintang.Populasi sebanyak 30 orang yang di peroleh melalui kuesioner.Kemudian dilakukan fungsi pendengaran di RSUP. Prof. dr. R. D. Kandou Manado yaitu pemeriksaan audiometer. Sebelumnya pengukuran tingkat kebisingan bengkel las dilakukan dengan pengukuran Sound Level Meter. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Statistical  Program Product and Service Solution (SPSS) dan menggunakan uji Fisher Exact. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 27 pekerja mengalami paparan kebisingan  90 dB, dengan presentrase (90%) mengalami gangguan pendengaran dan 3 pekerja (10%) tidak mengalami gangguan pendengaran. Hasil analisis Fisher Exact menyatakan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengaruh kebisingan terhadap fungsi pendengaran (p = 0,002). Simpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengaruh kebisingan terhadap fungsi pendengaran. Kata Kunci : Kebisingan, Fungsi Pendengaran

Asphyxia Neonatorum is a failure to start and continue breathing spontaneously and regularly when a new baby is born or some time after birth. Babies may be born in asphyxia or may be able to breathe but then experience asphyxia some time after birth. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parity and old parturition with the incidence of asphyxia neonatorum in the pre-Sumatran city general hospital in 2019. This study uses an Analytical Survey using a Cross Sectional approach. The population of this research is the babies born in the prehumulih city general hospital in 2019 amounted to 1763 people. The number of samples in this study were 326 respondents. In the univariate analysis it was found that from 326 respondents it was found that parity of high risk mothers was 168 respondents (51.5%) while parity of low risk mothers was 158 respondents (48.5%) and mothers who were diagnosed with prolonged labor were 149 respondents (45.7 %) while mothers who were not diagnosed with prolonged labor were 177 respondents (54.3%). Bivariate analysis shows parity has a significant relationship with the incidence of asphyxia neonatorum (p value 0,000) and old parturition has a significant relationship with the incidence of asphyxia neonatorum (p value 0,000). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between parity and old parturition with the incidence of asphyxia neonatorum.

<p><strong><em>Background:</em></strong><strong><em> </em></strong><em>The most common reproductive disease among Indonesian women is uterine myoma. The number of occurrences of this disease in Indonesia ranks second after cervical cancer. </em><strong><em>Purpose:</em></strong><em> </em><em>This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal age and parity with the incidence of uterine myoma at Mardi Waluyo Metro Hospital in 2016.</em><em> </em><strong><em>Methods:</em></strong><em> </em><em>This study uses a cross sectional design. The study sample was 141 respondents. The independent variable of the study was maternal age and parity, while the dependent variable was uterine myoma. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate analysis. Bivariate analysis using chi square test.</em><em> </em><strong><em>Results:</em></strong><em> </em><em>The results showed that there was a relationship between maternal age (p = 0,000) and parity (p = 0,000) with the incidence of uterine myoma at Mardi Waluyo Metro Hospital.</em><em> </em><strong><em>Conclusion:</em></strong><em> </em><em>The conclusions of this study are maternal age and parity are factors that increase the incidence of uterine myoma. Prevention efforts and reducing the incidence of uterine myoma need to be improved by early detection of women with age and risky parity.</em><em></em></p>

<p><em>The number of medical personnel in the Padang City is still a shortage of the amount required is 83 people, but this time medical personnel numbered 53 people. This research was carried out by combining two types of research are mixed method, preceded by a quantitative research with cross sectional approach, followed by qualitative research. The study was conducted in Primary Health Care Padang City. The population in this study are all medical personnel in the Padang City with a sample of 38 people, with a sampling technique is simple random sampling. The bivariate analysis known there are significant relationship between work (p = 0,023), compensation (p = 0,001), supervision (p = 0,001) and the relationship between employees (p = 0,000) with job satisfaction. But there is no relationship promotion with job satisfaction (p = 0,208). The conclusion of the study there are significant relationship between work, compensation, supervision and the relationship between employees with job satisfaction.</em></p>

ABSTRACT: THE CORRELATIONS OF AGE AND HYPERTENSION WITH THE OCCURRENCE OF BPH IN THE SURGICAL WARD AT RSUD DR.H.ABDUL MOELOEK IN 2020Introduction: Lower Urinary Tractus Symptoms (LUTS) is a problem that is experienced by men around the world and one that often occurs is Benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is a histological disorder characterized by the proliferation of prostate cells. It is estimated that 50% of men show BPH histopathology at the age of 60 years old and an increase of 90% at the age of 80 years old. Hypertension is also known to have a role in increasing prostate volume, in a cohort study it was found that hypertension resulted in an increased risk of 1.5 times to cause LUTS/BPH.Objective: To determine the relationship between age and hypertension on the incidence of BPH in Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek in 2020.Methods: This study is quantitative research, an observative analytic study design with a cross-sectional approach was carried out at RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek which was taken on October 16, 2020. The population was all patients in the Surgical Ward with total sampling. Data collection was obtained from secondary data from medical records. Data analysis was performed Univariate analysis (frequency distribution) and bivariate analysis with chi-square.Results: Respondents with BPH aged >50 years old were 32 respondents (97%) and respondents with BPH and hypertension were 20 respondents (60.6%). The results of the bivariate analysis using chi-square showed a significant relationship between BPH and age p value=0.000 (P<0.05) and the relationship between BPH and hypertension with p value=0.000 (p<0.05).Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between BPH with age and hypertension with the occurrence of BPH in the Surgical polyclinic at RSUD Dr.H.Abdul Moeloek in 2020. Keywords: BPH, Age, Hypertension  INTISARI: HUBUNGAN USIA DAN HIPERTENSI TERHADAP KEJADIAN BPH DI RSUD Dr.H.ABDUL MOELOEK Pendahuluan: Lower Urinary Tractus Symptoms (LUTS) adalah masalah yang banyak dialami oleh laki-laki di seluruh dunia dan salah satu yang sering terjadi adalah Benigna Prostat Hyperplasia (BPH). BPH adalah kelainan histologis yang khas di tandai dengan proliferasi sel-sel prostat. Diperkirakan 50% laki-laki menunjukan histopatologi BPH pada umur 60 tahun dan meningkat 90% pada umur 80 tahun  Hipertensi juga diketahui memiliki peranan dalam peningkatan volume prostat yakni pada suatu penelitian cohort diketahui adanya hipertensi mengakibatkan peningkatan resiko sebanyak 1,5 kali untuk menimbulkan gejala LUTS/BPH.Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan usia dan hipertensi terhadap kejadian BPH di RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Tahun 2020Metode: Jenis penelitian kuantitatif, rancangan penelitian analitik observatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional telah dilakukan di RSUD Dr.H.Abdul Moeloek Provinsi Lampung yang berlangsung pada 16 Oktober 2020. Populasi adalah seluruh pasien di Poli Bedah dengan pengambilan sampel secara total sampling. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari data sekunder yang diperoleh dari rekam medis. Analisis data secara univariat (distribusi frekuensi) dan uji bivariat mengunakan chi squareHasil: Responden dengan BPH yang berusia >50 tahun sebanyak 32 responden (97%) dan responden dengan BPH dengan hipertensi sebanyak 20 responden (60,6%). Hasil Uji bivariat menggunakan chi square menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara BPH dengan usia diperoleh nilai p=0,000 (P<0,05) dan hubungan BPH dengan hipertensi nilai p=0,000 (p<0,05).Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara BPH dengan usia dan terdapat hubungan sgnifikan antara BPH dengan hipertensi di poli klinik bedah RSUD Dr.H.Abdul Moeloek tahun 2020.Kata kunci: BPH, Usia, Hipertensi
