Calibration is an activity to determine the conventional truth of the value of the appointment of a measuring instrument by comparing traceable standards to national and international standards for measurement and / or international units and certified reference materials. The purpose of this study is to develop a system of efficient and practical centrifuge calibrators by sending the calibration results directly via bluetooth to a PC. The main series of centrifuge calibrators are Arduino modules, laser sensors and Bluetooth. The high low signal is obtained from the reflection of the laser beam aimed at the reflector point on the centrifuge plate, processed in the Arduino module and displayed on the LCD, the calibration results can be directly seen in the Delphi program. The design of this module is also equipped with a Bluetooth transmitter to send data to a PC. This module can be used in medical equipment calibration laboratories. Based on the results of testing and data collection on the 8 Tube centrifuge with a Lutron Tachometer ratio, the error value was 0.0136%. After planning, experimenting, making modules, testing modules, and collecting data, it can be concluded that the tool "centrifuge calibrator equipped with PC-based data processors" can be used and according to planning because the fault tolerance does not exceed 10%.Keywords—Holter Monitor; Heart Monitoring; Arduino Microcontroller; SD Card Memory

Monitoring of cardiac signals is very important for patients with heart disease. The detection of the ECG signal that is carried out for twenty hours will help the doctor to diagnose heart disease. The purpose of this study was to develop a portable ECG monitoring system and cost as it is called a Holter monitor. The main design of ECG module consists of the AD8232, DS3231 RTC module, Arduino microcontroller, and SD card memory. ECG signals are collected from the body of a standard measurement based LEAD II .. To record the raw data from the ECG signal, SD card memory is used to store data for further data analysis. Calibration is performed using a phantom ECG. This is done to make the design results are in accordance with the standard ECG machine.

This work presents a study of the effect of imbalance between the supply of and demand of power from the National grid on electrical appliances. In the study, an alternating current (ac) line monitoring device was developed using arduino microcontroller to carry out the investigation. The device is a single system capable of measuring both the main frequency and nominal voltage of electricity supply. The device consists of seven major components: 12 V step-down transformer, half-wave rectifier, attenuator, wave-shaping circuit, arduino microcontroller, Liquid crystal display and micro SD card. The heart of the device is the arduino microcontroller that reads the period of the pulses from the shaping circuit and the output voltage from the scale resistor connected to the attenuator circuit in order to measure the levels frequency and voltage of the ac main source. By graphically compared the reading of the voltage obtained by the ac monitoring device with that of the standard Mastech voltmeter, it was shown that the device has a good correlation with the standard voltmeter with a deviation of ±0.21%, and this has proven that the device is capable of measuring ac voltage accurately. From the frequency test level results, it was found that the frequency measured by the device closely related to the frequency measured by the standard frequency meter. This shows that the device satisfied the requirement of the overall design. Hence, it can be used in the laboratory for demonstration and research purposes as well as in power plant industries. Keywords: Mains frequency, nominal voltage, half-wave rectifier, attenuator, wave-shaping circuit, Arduino microcontroller

Interlaboratory studies represent a form of external quality control for laboratories. International standards that are used for interlaboratory comparisons, ISO 17043, ISO 13528, ISO 5725, define ways of organisation of comparisons and data treatment of participating laboratories’ results. Intercomparison results can be exploited, apart from the main goal for laboratory performance evaluation, also for method validation and production of Certified Reference Materials. PROLab is a comprehensive, globaly accepted and standardized software package for evaluating interlaboratory studies. It provides large data set structures, graphical andcomputational methods for optimal use of the data. Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals has purchased and installed software package PROLab Plus, licenced as the only one in the Republic of Serbia. As such, it will be available to all interested organisers of interlaboratory comparisons, in our country.

In the present study, the edible portions of whole fish excluding viscera and bone of five different freshwater fish species samples are analysed for lead, manganese, nickel, zinc, copper and iron by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). The relative standard deviations (RSD) were found below 5%. The accuracy of the methods was confirmed by certified reference materials. The concentrations of trace elements in the edible portions of other fish comply with the international standards for human consumption. Abstract In the past decade, with the signing of the joint declaration by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), the International Organisation of Legal Metrology, the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation, and the International Organization for Standardization, and the issuing of new international standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 13528, metrological traceability has become more and more important for the mutual recognition of measurement results. It is found that the important factors for ensuring the accuracy of results are not only relevant to calibrants but also to the analysis procedure. This paper focuses on the analysis of key factors that affect measurement results, such as analytical methods, reference materials (RMs), and proficiency testing of mycotoxins. The Capacity Building and Knowledge Transfer Programme for mycotoxins, led by the BIPM, which aims to establish a global measurement system traced to the Système International d’Unités (SI), is well illustrated. Furthermore, this paper suggests to stakeholders that great effort is needed to promote the effective use of certified RM resources that are traced to the SI and globally recognized by the International Committee for Weights and Measures to finally realize “one measurement, global recognition.”

Produced heat from motorcycle exhaust has been used to recharge cellphone batteries using a thermoelectric seebeck generator and program settings from the Arduino microcontroller. This tool consists of an LM 35 sensor that functions as a temperature reader, TEG as a heat converter to voltage, DC to DC Booster as a voltage controller, Arduino Uno as a data processor, LCD as a display. The software in this tool uses the Arduino IDE program. This tool is used to convert heat into voltage. The working principle of this system in general is that when the exhaust heat is removed, the controller will read the data from the LM 35 temperature sensor. After that the data will be processed by the microcontroller. After obtaining the processed data, the result data is then displayed on the LCD and the relay circuit will activate the system when the required voltage is appropriate

The article deals with data of research for development of certified reference materials set for opened porosity of solid substances and materials (imitators) (OPGP SO UNIIM set) GSO 11116-2018/GSO 11119-2018. The certified values of open porosity are determined using a gas pycnometer. Certified reference materials are intended for certification of measurement techniques and control of the accuracy of open porosity measurement results for petrophysical studies of core. Certified reference materials can be used for calibration, verification of open porosity measurements of rock and for testing of measuring instruments. A complete budget of the CRM uncertainty is presented, taking into account changes in ambient temperature when it used in testing and calibration laboratories.

In recent years, the need for the quality control, reliability, and traceability of analytical results has been strongly emphasized. The National Metrology Institute – Inmetro is involved in improving measurement capabilities to provide confidence level regarding greenhouse gases standards. The chapter describes the development of certified reference materials of carbon dioxide in atmospheric synthetic air that are used to monitor its concentration in the atmosphere. Considering the contributions from gravimetry preparation and its verification analysis by cavity ringdown spectroscopy (CRDS), the relative expanded uncertainty of the standard mixture of carbon dioxide was lower than 0.5% for the range studied from 370 to 550 μmol/mol, which is comparable to the average of 0.25% relative uncertainties presented on international standards mixtures.
