The purpose of the present study was to understand what advantages and disadvantages in the operation of microprocessor devices in the RZA, to analyze the main series of microprocessor protection, their advantages, disadvantages and features, to review microprocessor protection in the labor market. Based on this, conclude the relevance and acceptability of microprocessor protection in general. The study examined several companies that are engaged in microprocessor protection. Comparing microcontrollers is challenging. Usually, each crystal manufacturer offers its own tests, developed personally by him, showing that its microcontroller is the best. Therefore, their comparison was also made taking into account the characteristics of the relay protections themselves based on microprocessor data.

Abstract Climate change causes trends in hydro-meteorological series. Traditional trend analysis methods such as Mann-Kendall and Spearman Rho are sensitive to correlated series and cannot detect non-parametric trends. Şen-innovative trend analysis method is launched to literature in order to overcome these restrictions. It does not require any restrictive assumptions as serial dependence and normal distribution and examines a main series as equally divided two sub-series. Şen multiple innovative trend analyses methodology is improved to detect partial trends on different sub-series but again equal lengths. Climate change nowadays more effects hydro-meteorological parameters according to last two or three decades and gives asymmetric trend change point on main time series. Due to asymmetric trend change points, it may be necessary to analyze sub-series with different lengths to use all measured data. In this study, Şen innovative trend analyses method is revised for these requirements (ITA_DL). The new approach compared with traditional Mann Kendall (MK) and Şen innovative trend analysis (Şen_ITA) gives successful and consistent results. ITA_DL gives four monotonic trends on Oxford May, July, September and October rainfall series although MK gives three monotonic trends on May, July and December and cannot detect trends on September and October. In the ITA_DL visual inspection, the December rainfall series does not show a trend that is monotonic or non-monotonic. Şen_ITA trend results are consistent with ITA_DL except September, although there are different trend slopes.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the etymology of the verbal names of Russian weapons. In addition to the alphanumeric designation of military units of the Russian army (La-250, ZUR 215), there are official and unofficial verbal names. The official names include such as «Tatyana», «Strizh», «Volga», to unofficial (folk, slang) - «Katyusha», «Ksyusha». The objective of this study is to determine the etymology of the official verbal names of Russian weapons. As the main methods of scientific research were used analysis, generalization, classification. The verbal names of Russian weapons can be divided into several groups according to the method of naming: according to the modification letter, abbreviation, the consonance of the name or abbreviation of the name with the name, in honor of the creators, by associative transfer and according to the name of the series. The last naming method is the most common. The main series (in terms of the number of incoming weapons) are «anthroponymous», «hydronymic», «toponymic», «zoonymous», «phytoonymic» and «mythonymic». In the course of the study, it was possible to establish a connection between a series of weapons and their units. So, the «phytoonymic» series mainly combines artillery weapons - guns, howitzers, missile systems for guns and howitzers, mortars, self-propelled artillery mounts («Giacint», «Astra», «Hrizantema», «Pion»). The tradition of calling submarines and cruisers in honor of Russian cities is obvious («Tula», «Bryansk», «Arhangel'sk», «Severstal», «Ekaterinburg»). When analyzing the «zoonymous» series, the following regularity was revealed: the names of the aquatic inhabitants received the military units of the Navy, as well as the weapons used in the fleet («Afalina», «Del'fin», «Kasatka», «Kashalot»). To designate aircraft, the names of birds are used, the behavioral features of which correlate with the functionality of weapons («Bekas», «Berkut», «Burevestnik», «Voron», «Ivolga», «Lastochka»). The relevance of the work is due to the need to identify the patterns of assigning verbal names to combat units of the Russian army. The practical significance lies in the fact that the analysis of the names of weapons and their classification will provide a systematic idea of Russian weapons to foreign military personnel studying at Russian universities.

Abstract Low-sulfide platinum group element (PGE) mineralization of the Norilsk-type intrusions is located within the Upper Gabbroic Series, which comprises rocks heterogeneous in texture and composition. The highest grade of 10 to 50 g/t PGEs is confined primarily to chromitiferous taxitic gabbrodolerite, which forms irregular lens- and vein-like bodies that interfinger with contact gabbrodolerite, intrusion breccia, leucogabbro, and gabbrodolerite variably enriched in olivine, from olivine free up to picritic compositions. The abundant amygdules and pegmatoidal textures in Upper Gabbroic Series taxitic rocks, as well as the high enrichment of halogen in minerals (e.g., ≤4.6 wt % Cl in apatite), indicate a higher volatile content of the local magma compared to the magma that precipitated the Main Series. The observed diversity in spinel compositions, which evolve from chromite to Cr magnetite as well as toward hercynite, titanomagnetite, and ulvöspinel, is also indicative of crystallization from a fluid-saturated mush that subsequently reacted, to varying degrees, with contaminated trapped melt and immiscible fluid. The high PGE/S ratio is a primary feature of this mineralization style, albeit the ratio partly increased during sulfide replacement and resorption. The PGE tenor of bulk sulfides calculated as ΣPGE (g/t) in 100% sulfides exceeds 160 and may reach up to 1,400 to 2,500 in low-S ores (0.2–3 wt % S), whereas the value does not exceed 42 in the Talnakh disseminated ore and ranges from 35 to 120 in the Norilsk disseminated ore (1–10 wt % S). Several PGE peaks in the vertical sections correlate well with Cu, Ni, S, and Cr peaks, as well as with observed elevated proportion of amygdules. Low-sulfide ores are composed of two primary sulfide assemblages of pyrrhotite + pentlandite + chalcopyrite and pentlandite + pyrrhotite. The primary sulfides are depleted in the heavier 34S isotope relative to sulfides of the corresponded main orebodies (e.g., mean δ34S = 8.9‰ versus δ34S = 12.3‰, respectively, in the Kharaelakh intrusion). A secondary pyrite + millerite + chalcopyrite assemblage has isotope composition enriched in 34S by 2 to 6‰ δ34S with respect to primary sulfides. The directly measured PGE content in sulfides (e.g., 11–2,274 g/t Pd in pentlandite and 0.10–33.3 g/t Rh in pyrrhotite) is within the range of the typical Norilsk-type magmatic sulfide compositions. The textural setting and diversity of platinum group minerals (PGMs) favor the hypothesis of fluid-controlled crystallization. However, the distinct PGM assemblages in Norilsk 1 and Talnakh-Kharaelakh low-sulfide ores are comparable with those of the corresponding presumably magmatic disseminated and massive orebodies. The most remarkable characteristic is the widespread Pt-Fe alloys in Norilsk 1 and their absence in Talnakh-Kharaelakh, which is interpreted to reflect better preservation of the high-temperature PGMs in Norilsk 1 in contrast to their substantial replacement in more oxidized fluid-enriched environments in Talnakh-Kharaelakh.

This volume is a new collection of scholarly essays on the US science fiction and fantasy writer Lois McMaster Bujold. The collection argues for the significant contributions Bujold’s works make to feminist and queer thought, disability studies, and fan studies. In addition, it suggests the importance of Bujold to contemporary American literature. The volume continues the establishment of Bujold as an important author of contemporary science fiction and fantasy. It argues that her corpus spans the distance between two full arcs of US feminism and has anticipated or responded to several of its current concerns in ways that invite or even require theoretical exploration. As well as papers on earlier work in the main series (the Vorkosigan Saga and the ‘Worlds of the Five Gods’ novels The Curse of Chalion and Paladin of Souls), the collection also presents work on recent publications such as The Sharing Knife sequence; the ‘Penric and Desdemona’ novellas; and the recent Vorkosigan Saga novel Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen. The collection deepens feminist research in Bujold studies by incorporating queer and disability studies perspectives; and includes historiographic retracing of scholarship on Bujold’s work.

The Comparison between the comic books’ superheroes and gods often appears in the scientific discourse. This phenomenon is linked to the human need for creating new idols. In their comic book titled The Wicked and the Divine, Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie are going one step further and decide to create a whole new pantheon, designed to fit our century. Creators did not design new gods, they used various pantheons and reincarnated them in new, different bodies. In this article, I will be considering the role of divinity and its place in the modern world. In order to achieve this, I will use comparative analysis between the main series of The Wicked and the Divine and two special one-shots — first set in the twenties of the twentieth century, second in the beginning of the nineteenth century — to highlight the differences in the role of gods and divinity in different period of time. The article will also concentrate on the form of the bodies that the gods gain due to the reincarnation, and the impact of this phenomenon on the place that they take in society.

The study aims to develop specific lightweight brick units using locally available clay of traditional burned brick units publically used in the south of Iraq using solid wastes. Throughout the study, chemically inaction and difficult to recycling wastes was considered, they were classified into Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) and hardwood solid waste which is used to upgrade lightweight characteristic and maintenance required bricks' characteristics and to be introduced as a smart technical way to recycling solid waste. Solid waste is introduced as additive materials and firing fuel enhanced coefficient in the concept of its energy recovery useful in the production process.  An experimental program was considered including five main series of samples, tested and analyzed in the scope of clay bricks units and in the scope of lightweight constructional related to aerated wall construction units. The verified compressive strengths and other properties of tested specimens were found to confirm bricks class C except for specimens of hardwood of 10% although it assigns less dry density (1.18 g/cm3). In general, as light weight bricks, the characteristics of developed units was found to be within the permitted limits of ASTM C 1389.
