Most of the women have been experienced with menopausal syndrome 70-80 %. Estrogen and progesterone hormones activity decrease which the result of the cessation of menstruation followed by various physical and psychological changes. Blood cholesterol levels and complaints of discomfort are the effects of pre and menopause. Reducing the effect of menopause could be done with non-pharmacologically by utilizing natural materials that are easily available, cheap and minimal negative side effects, namely by consuming Bengkoang juice regularly for 21 days. This research aims to recognize the effect of giving Bengkoang juice by cholesterol levels and complaints of discomfort during menopause This research was a quasi-experimental pre-posttest with control group design. 30 pre and menopausal women participated in their resident of Tanah Patah Village, Bengkulu City with a purposive sampling technique was divided into two groups by simple random sampling. Each group was consisting of 15 women for treatment (Bengkoang juice) and control (soy milk). Assessment of cholesterol levels through an examination used a stick of cholesterol (easy touch), complaints used the questionnaire complaints, and respondents' compliance used the observation sheet. Statistical testing was applied paired T-Test analysis to see differences in cholesterol levels and complaints of discomfort between the two study groups with the significance of the test results based on p <0.05. The results present a decrease in cholesterol levels and complaints in both groups with a p-value <0.05. Furthermore, in terms of decreased levels of cholesterol (33%) and complaints (45%) were higher than the control group namely cholesterol levels (11%) and complaints ( 21%). This research concluded that the effect of Bengkoang juice on cholesterol levels and complaints of discomfort during menopause is confirmed.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of midwifery update training on increasing knowledge of midwives in midwifery services. The study design was a post-test only control group design. The population consisted of an experimental group of 41 people and a control group of 41 people. The experimental group had the midwifery update training in 2019, while the control group was midwives who had never attended midwifery update training in 2019. The experimental group and the control group were selected by using cluster sampling technique after that the sample selection used simple random sampling. Data analysis was used independent samples t -test. The mean knowledge results of the midwifery update group that had never attended midwifery update training was 55.11, while the mean knowledge results of the midwifery update group knowledge was 75.19. Based on the independent t-test, it was found that the t-count results were -8,987 with a p-value of 0.000 (

Advances in technology and high activities at work cause a person to prefer fast food, increasing the risks of high cholesterol levels. Meanwhile, the healing of hypercholesterolemia requires a long treatment time. One of them is non-pharmacological treatment using Vernonia amygdalina (African bitter leaf) tea. This study analyzes V.amygdalina (African bitter leaf) effectiveness for reducing the cholesterol levels in individuals with hypercholesterolemia. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental design, with a non-equivalent control group design. The population involved individuals with hypercholesterolemia in the village of Kedensari RW 05 Tanggulangin, Sidoarjo. There were 40 respondents in this study using the purposive sampling technique – 20 respondents in the experimental group and 20 respondents in the control group. The independent variable was V.amygdalina tea, whereas the dependent variable was cholesterol levels. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. The p-value of the Wilcoxon test and Mann-Whitney signed-ranks test was (0.000)<α(0.005), which illustrated that V.amygdalina (African bitter leaf) tea was useful for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia. In conclusion, tea made from African bitter leaf affects in reducing cholesterol levels. Therefore, this paper recommends using V.Amygdalina in other management forms besides tea because of its rich benefits as an alternative non-pharmacological hypercholesterolemia treatment.

Efficacy domestic apple (malus domestica) and guava fruit (psidium guajava l.) juices in the management of blood cholesterol levels Background: Hypertension is a chronic condition, which is blood pressure increases in the blood vessels. One of the causes of hypertension is a diet with high fat. High-fat levels occur precipitation of cholesterol. The methods to overcome hyper cholesterol in the blood by pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Method of non-pharmacological to reduce cholesterol levels with consuming guava and green apple juice.Purpose: Known the efficacy domestic apple (Malus domestica) and guava fruit (Psidium guajava L.) juices in the management of blood cholesterol levels.Method: The design of the research used in this study was a quasi-experiment used non-equivalent control group design. The samples were 16 samples. The sampling used a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used Independent T-Test.Results: The study showed that the average difference of cholesterol levels in the guava juice group was 17,25±17,019 mg/dl. Meanwhile, the green apple juice group was 58,63±39,867 mg/dl. The result of t value = 2,700 and p value = 0,017 (p < 0,05).Conclusion: There was a difference effect of guava juice and green apple juice to cholesterol levels reduction. Suggestions of this study for hyper cholesterol patients to consume green apple juice as a non-pharmacological treatment.Keywords: Cholesterol; Domestic Apple (Malus Domestica); Guava (Psidium guajava L.); Consumption; Juice.Pendahuluan: Hipertensi adalah kondisi kronis dimana mengalami peningkatan tekanan darah pada dinding pembuluh darah. Salah satu penyebab hipertensi yaitu pola makan dengan kadar lemak tinggi. Kadar lemak tinggi menyebabkan terjadi endapan kolesterol. Cara mengatasi kelebihan kolesterol dalam darah dengan farmakologi dan nonfarmakologi. Cara nonfarmakologi menurunkan kadar kolesterol dengan mengonsumsi jus jambu biji dan jus apel hijau.Tujuan: Diketahui perbedaan pengaruh jus jambu biji dan jus apel hijau terhadap penurunan kadar kolesterol.Metode: Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan pendekatan non equivalent control group design. Sampel sebanyak 16 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji Independent T-Test.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan rata-rata kadar kolesterol pada kelompok jus jambu biji adalah 17,25±17,019 mg/dl. Sedangkan, pada kelompok jus apel hijau adalah 58,63±39,867 mg/dl. Hasil nilai t = 2,700 dan p value = 0,017 (p < 0,05).Simpulan: Ada perbedaan pengaruh jus jambu biji dan jus apel hijau terhadap penurunan kadar kolesterol. Saran dari penelitian ini diharapkan penderita kolesterol mengonsumsi jus apel hijau sebagai pengobatan non-farmakologi.

The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic in China is a global health threat, which causes fear, anxiety in receiving the right information according to the mental health needs of society. Teenagers are included in the group who experience the psychological impact of Covid 19 who experience anxiety. Adolescents are more receptive to the use of smartphone applications, health authorities may consider providing psychoeducation and online or smartphone-based psychological interventions. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing Telemental Counseling in Padang city adolescents in 2020. The design used in this study was a Quasi experimental design with a pre and post control group design approach. The sampling technique was Simple Random Sampling with a total sample of 44 people, 22 people in the intervention group and 22 from the control group. This study used the Revised Children's Manifest Anxiety Scale (RCMS) questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using Paired T-Test. The results of this study showed a decrease in the level of anxiety in adolescents in the intervention group, namely the average score of anxiety before being given the application of Telemental counseling in the experimental group was 21.18 and 17.32 afterwards. The results of this statistical test show that there is an effect of providing telemental counseling in the intervention group on reducing anxiety in adolescents in Padang City. The statistical test results obtained p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05).

Iron deficiency anemia is a decreasing number of red blood cells in the blood caused by too little iron in the blood system, especially for the adolescents. To increase the hemoglobin levels can be done by consuming lots of foods that contain a high protein and iron. Quail eggs have a higher protein and iron content among other eggs. The purpose of this study is to determine the different effect of the consumption of quail eggs to the hemoglobin and cholesterol levels in the adolescents. This study uses true experiment with pretest-posttest design with the control group. The population is a group of girl students aged 13-15 years old who was menstruating at SMP Al Munawir Gringsing, Batang district. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The hemoglobin and cholesterol levels were measured when the respondents were menstruating on the first day and the sixth day. The intervention group was given the quail eggs for 5 days during the menstruation and the control group was only observed. The results of the dependent t test hemoglobin level p-value intervention group 0,000 and p-value control group 0,000, and cholesterol p-value intervention group 0,012 and control group p-value 0,003, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of quail eggs consumption on the hemoglobin and cholesterol levels. The results of the independent test of the difference in hemoglobin p-value 0.001 and the difference in the level of cholesterol p-value of 0.002, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the consumption of the quail eggs on the hemoglobin and cholesterol levels. It is expected that the consumption of the quail eggs for the adolescents can be given as a daily menu in order to increase the hemoglobin levels.

Objective: to analyze the effectiveness of Leininger’s Transcultural-based GATHER (Greet, Ask, Tell, Help, Explain, and Return/refer) Counseling Model for exclusive breastfeeding. Methods: The experimental research was conducted with the post-test only control group design. The sample size of control group and treatment group were 38 people. The sampling technique is a simple random sampling technique. The treatment group were third stage III pregnant women with a gestational age of 36-37 weeks and at the second day postpartum. Data were collected using questionnaires and observations of 76 breastfeeding mothers in Jember Regency, then analyzed using Mann Whitney-U test. Results: The results showed that postpartum mothers who were given Leininger's Transcultural-based GATHER Counseling Model showed a higher percentage of exclusive breastfeeding (81.1%) than postpartum mothers who were not given counseling (21.6%). The results of hypothesis testing showed p-value of 0.000, meaning that the hypothesis was accepted so that it could be said that exclusive breastfeeding for mothers who were given counseling was higher than those who were not given Leininger's Transcultural-based GATHER Counseling Model and it was effective in increasing milk production. Conclusion: Leininger's Transcultural-based GATHER Counseling Model is effective in increasing exclusive breastfeeding, this model facilitates understanding and management of the factors that cause problems, breastfeeding. Environmental pollution is one of the factors that contribute to the decline in male fertility. Lead is one of six air pollutants harmful to the reproductive system. One parameter of infertility in men is an increase in reproductive function observed with decreased morphological abnormalities of spermatozoa. The purpose is to analyze the effect of giving various dosages of Solanum betaceum extract on spermatozoa morphology of mice exposed to lead acetate. This study was true experimental using a randomized post-test only control group design. The total sample was 40 male mice Balb/ C taken by simple random sampling technique. Treatment and maintenance of experimental animals for 35 days. Statistical tests showed there were significant differences with p-value 0.005. Solanum betaceum extract can be used as a protective to improve the normal morphology spermatozoa of mice that exposed to lead acetate.

Introduction The implementation of nursing clinical learning in Indonesia has several challenges that require innovation in the learning method strategy. The method that has been used so far focuses on the hierarchical relationship between lecturers/preceptors and students, so that there are many shortcomings in learning outcomes. The application of the method of active learning with Peer Learning (PL) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) techniques has proven effective in classroom learning, but its rarely found in clinical learning. Objective The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the PL and PBL towards the achievement of clinical learning in nursing students. Methods The research method used a true experiment with a posttest only control group design, the sampling technique was taken by randomize control trial. An instrument for clinical learning achievement using AssCE. Results The analysis was carried out as descriptive and bivariate. The results showed the mean in the experimental group was 7.059 and the control group was 6.325. Further statistical test results were obtained p-value = 0.001 (p < 0.05) which showed that the average score there were differences in clinical learning achievement development scores. Conclusion Clinical learning using peer learning and PBL methods can directly improve various aspects of student competency achievement.

    The result of observation shows that the students' understanding of physics science subject is still low. Many teachers still use conventional methods. Students just listen and take notes. Therefore, the use of appropriate and varied learning models is expected to help students in understanding a concept. One alternative of physics learning that can help students understand the concept is through pictorial riddle learning method. This pictorial riddle learning method uses a riddle of drawings on a whiteboard, poster or projected from a transparency then the teacher asks questions relating to the riddle. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the influence of pictorial riddle learning method on the understanding of physics concepts class IX students semester 1 SMP Negeri 2 Painan 2015/2016 academic year. Sampling is done by simple random sampling technique. The research population is all students of class IX SMP Negeri 2 Painan. The sample used is class IX-2 as experiment class and IX-3 as control class. The variable in this research is the students' concept understanding on the magnetism materials, with the experimental control group design pre test post test. Data retrieval is done through the test in the form of free description and analyzed using simple regression analysis, coefficient of determination and test of significance in microsoft excel. The results of data analysis showed the relationship between variables expressed in a simple regression equation Y = 51.99 + 0.4286. The value of correlation coefficient 0,5787 with enough criterion (0,5 <r <0,8) value 0,3348 and coefficient of determination equal to 33,5% and> (3,175> 2,015) at significance level 5%, which mean study pictorial Riddle method effect of 33.5% on the understanding of student physics concepts. Thus it can be concluded that there is a positive influence and quite significant method of learning pictorial riddle on the understanding of students' concepts on magnetism materials.

The purpose of the study was to determine the differences in mathematics learning outcomes and the effectiveness of google classroom-assisted learning in terms of learning styles on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research used an experimental research method with a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling using a simple random sampling technique. The population of this research is the seventhgrade students of one of the public junior high schools in Sleman. The sample of this study amounted to 54 students consisting of class VII C and VII D. The data collection techniques used in this study were tests and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used in this study were normality test, homogeneity test, similarity test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study show that: (1) there are differences in learning outcomes in bold learning assisted by google classroom; (2) bold learning assisted by google classroom is more effective in terms of visual learning styles; (3) bold learning assisted by google classroom is not more effective in terms of auditory and kinesthetic learning styles.
