This study aims to explore information about the implementation of learning strategy of Arabic education program IAIN Samarinda, the object of this study are lecturers who teach on arabic education study program that is determined by using purposive sampling, in this study, researchers used interview techniques, observation and documentation, while the research desainused is a qualitative approach with the result of a description that aims to find the pattern of information obtained in the field In this case, the result of the research is (1) Impelementation of learning strategy in IAIN Samarinda arabic study program runs well which is normative implementation, it is shown by the implementation of learning that has been done by the lecturer of course runs according to its function, such as preparing syllabus and learning tools, using strategies and techniques in teaching, and evaluating at the end of the course. (2) The strategy used in learning in IAIN Samarinda arabic education program is active learning for speaking skill, cooperative learning for skill, qowaid wa tarjamah for learning element of language of nahwu, shorof and tarjamah, and for reading skill is qiraah shomitah and jahriyah, drill and awlawiyat for writing skills. (3) Factors supporting the implementation are: a. Able to prepare instructional devices at each meeting b. Pengampu determine appropriate strategies and techniques in adjusting teaching materials c. The availability of learning media well (4) The inhibiting factor of the implementation is the learning is a. Qualification of students, so the implementation of the strategy must be really on target and adjust the cognitive level of students b. Distribution of courses not all speak Arabic

This study aims to improve students’ rhetoric skills of a class at the Indonesian Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Traning and Education University of Bengkulu, in the academic year of 2018/2019. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method to describe the conditions of rhetoric learning using the method sugestopedia for students from A class of Indonesian Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Bengkulu, academic year 2018/2019 was employed. Based of the research results in the first cycle there are advantages in the application of the suggestopedia method in learning speaking skill, namely; 1. The existence of student confidence and motivation in learning rhetoric. 2. By using the Suggestopedia Method, students can feel comfortable in learning, so that the imagination of students is more better. In the research conducted in the first cycle there are also deficiencies, namely the example of rhetoric given to students using simple aspects as that students tend to rhetoric based on the aspects used in the example of the rhetoric.  The results of the data analysis of the second cycle of learning with the application of the suggestopedia method, obtained data; 37 students scored above 70 and mastery learning 92.5%. As the researcher stopped this class action research until the second cycle, because the research indicators had been reached.

<p>In the current pandemic situation, reaching the goals of learners’ speaking skill fluently and accurately are not enough only determined by the lecturers’ strategy but also learners’ enthusiasm to use appropriate speaking learning strategy. The presents study aimed to identify what speaking learning strategy used by the learners, different strategies used by learners’ who are having low and high achievement, and then the dominant strategy employed by the learners. The study applied descriptive study, then the participants were 50 third semester students, chosen from 5 classes of English education study program of IKIP PGRI Pontianak. The tools of collecting data, the participants were asked to fill a questionnaire and to do a speaking test. The findings revealed all strategies almost used by the learners to develop their speaking skill, meanwhile the different strategies used by the students who are having low and high achievement are found in frequency of use the strategies and varieties of strategy in learning speaking skill. From the six strategies of learning speaking skill, as indicated in this study, the dominant strategy which have been employed by the learners is afektif strategy.</p><p> </p>

The purpose of this study was to discover the learning tools in the civics subject at Citizenship Education Study Program in improving the Critical Thinking Skills of the Students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. It was also to produce learning tool design in the Course of Citizenship at the study program of citizenship education in improving students’ critical thinking skills. This research was development research. This study developed learning tool for citizenship courses at the study program of Citizenship Education with an inquiry strategy to improve students' critical thinking skills. What the output resulted from this study was a lesson plan, student activity sheet, textbook (citizenship material). This study showed that the developed learning tools were in a good category. The practicability of the lesson plan was in a good category. In addition, Citizenship Textbook was interesting and varied, and student worksheets were created to explore the analyzing ability.

The aim of this research was to find out the strategies used by the English Education Study Program students in learning speaking skill. It was designed as a descriptive quantitative research.  The  population  was  240  students  of  English  Education  Study  Program  of Universitas Bengkulu in the 2016/2017academic year. The samples were 60 students, taken from 25% of the total population. The data were collected by using a set of questionnai re. There  were  30  statements  of  speaking  learning  strategies  which  consisted  of  three categories of learning strategies proposed by O’Malley and Chamot (1990). They were metacognitive strategy, cognitive strategy, and social affective strategy.The instrument of this research was adapted from Liao and Chiang (2004).The result of this study showed students of English Education Study Program preferred to use all category of that learning strategy. In addition, the most frequently used strategy group by the students was social affective strategy (M=2.67).

The condition of economic, social and politics of this country brings great influence to many aspects of life including the policies in educational institution especially in Arabic Education Program. It becomes the controversial discourse in this decade. This article aims to describe the policies taken by the head of Arabic Education Program at Tarbiyah department (Islamic Education Study Program), STAIN Pekalongan. In the implementation, all of the policies should be done well, so that they can be used to solve problems. If a policy cannot be used to solve problems, then it is called as a failed policy. Therefore, to achieve the policy objectives, it needs the contribution of many people including the students, the staffs, the lecturers, and also the officials of the college.

The Arabic debate competition was canceled due to the Covid 19 pandemic. So that ITHLA held the competition through zoom. Meanwhile, the Arabic Language Education Study Program held an Arabic language debate through WhatsApp. The researcher aims to describe the Arabic debate amid the Covid 19 pandemic. Researchers used a qualitative approach. Researchers obtained data by observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed descriptively. The result of this research is that debates during the pandemic are carried out through zoom and WhatsApp. The challenge is that this activity can be followed by Arabic language students throughout Indonesia because the Arabic debate is only followed by students in Java. Meanwhile, the problem is that students have to make sure their signal is good. Also, debates via WhatsApp at IAIN Jember lowered student interest. Meanwhile, students who debated through zoom found difficulties in rebutting.

This study aims to determine the students’ speaking skill before and after applying Guessing Game and find out the effect of Guessing Game on the students’ speaking skill at the first semester of English education study program of STAIN Bengkalis. This research is experimental research that involved 18 students at the first semester of English Education Study Program of STAIN Bengkalis. Speaking test was implemented in order to collect the students’ speaking performance, and the collected data were quantitatively analyzed. Guessing Game has a less significant effect in improving the students’ speaking skill at the first semester of English education study program of STAIN Bengkalis. This is evidenced by the results of t-o (1,3) smaller than t-table.

Speaking skill in English language learning is sometimes difficult for learners. Some students in second semester in IAIN Curup at English study program experienced errors in daily communication. This research tried to disclose what errors that the students did, to what extent the errors occurred. Qualitative approach was considered appropriate in this research because it did not try to generalize the findings but to deepen the case. Observation and open-ended Interview were applied to gather the data. As the instruments, field notes and voice recorder were utilized. The result shows that the students made errors in the four categories namely error in the using of be + adjectives, misplace be present time and past time, missing verbs and error in applying preposition. Errors occurred in the circumstances of choosing sentence verbs time signal and the lack of awareness in placing be for a sentence. Keywords: Speaking errors, grammar, sentence construction

<p class="5abstrak">The Implementation of education in Higher Education must have the vision and mission to achieve a certain goal. The result of the vision and mission statement is socialized to get feedback as an evaluation and perfection of the vision and mission. The achievement of vision and mission that have been determined must be known, understood, and implemented by all academicians including students. This research was conducted to measure the level of students' understanding of the vision and mission of Biology Education Study Program of FKIP Untan. This research used qualitative approach with descriptive study. The subjects in this research were 246 students of Biology Education Study Program of FKIP Untan class of 2015, 2016, and 2017. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with closed and open statement. The results of this study indicated that in general the students have understood the vision and mission well. Data analysis showed that 236 (95,93%) students have read vision and mission, 190 (77,24%) and 204 (82,93%) students knew about vision and mission, 203 (33,44%), 101 (64%) students were the highest percentage of students who read the vision and mission in standing banner or class and in academic guidance book. Furthermore, 162 students (65.85 %) agreed that they have been well informed about the vision and mission, 165 students (67.07%) agreed that they have understood the vision and mission, 173 students (70.33%) agreed with the existence of vision and mission, and 159 students (64.63%) agreed that the vision and mission were used as references.</p>
