Deshari, Bejuni, Shamanins are known as indigenous physicians or Vaidyas among the Kandhas of south Orissa. The Deshari is well acquainted with the medical effect of the roots and herbs required for curing of the diseases using charms and spells. Bejunis are experts for the treatment of mental patients. Through magical spells and charms (known as white Magic), she takes up the cases of mental illness. The services of Shamanins are requires for harming an enemy by mantras and tantras.They are expert in Black Magic. Kandhs are experts or specialists in treatment of drowned, night goblin, labour pain and pain in mother’s breast and pulta-bagha. This particular magical property enabled them to transform themselves into tigers and in this shape to attack human beings and their cattle1 . John Campbell* , a top ranking ICS officer witnessed such cases of Pulta-bagha in his own eyes. Their magical properties are amazing and tremendous. But they had no written books on this magical property. It goes from mind to mind, mouth to mouth and generation to generation. The charms, spells, magic-lores, magic cords, folk method of treatment and folk medicines are the traditional heritage of these people. If we will not collect, document or preserve in digital form, this valuable wealth of the centuries will disappear from the society very soon. An humble attempt has been made in this paper to present a vivid account of the role of Desharis, Bejuni, Shamanins and their magical property for the treatment of the diseases.

As vagrants and symptomatic mental patients spill into downtowns and commercial areas, the issue has become visible and pressing. Increasing attention has been paid in recent years to the role of mental illness as a cause or contributing element in the growing homeless population.

Different teaching methods are used to make individuals' learning easier and effective. Technological teaching tools are often used in this context. Technological teaching methods create socioeconomic effects while increase human capital, because investments made in human beings provide benefits, both for individuals and society in a long term. In this study, firstly the use of technological teaching methods is investigated and secondly, the role of the gains obtained in the development is analyzed. According to the results obtained, technological teaching methods cause externalities such as reduction of crime rates, revitalization of the economy thanks to investments, increase in the quality of relations of civil society, increase in HDI and increase in employment.

Resumen: El ser humano está en continua búsqueda de un lugar y una orientación dentro de un mundo que, supuestamente, es su morada. Este ha sido designado por Dios como Su vicerregente (jalīfa), es decir, su representante en la Tierra. Este artículo aborda la concepción de la mujer y la realización del papel de vicerregente por medio de la participación en la relación sexual dentro del marco del matrimonio, como un modo particular de ser, y como actividad física y metafísica necesaria para la existencia humana que posibilita a los seres humanos alcanzar la proximidad con la Presencia Divina. Para ello, se investigará la discusión planteada por Ibn ῾Arabī en su Fuṣūṣ al-Ḥikam en la que se analiza el dicho profético “Se me han hecho amar tres cosas en este mundo: las mujeres, el perfume y la oración como solaz de los ojos". Abstract: The human being is in a constant struggle to find a place, an orientation for him/herself within a world that is supposedly an abode. He/she was assigned by God to be a vicegerent (khalīfa), a representative of Him on earth. This paper aims to tackle the conception of women and the fulfillment of the role of a vicegerent through human participation in sexual intercourse within the framework of marriage as a particular mode of being, and as recurring physical and metaphysical activity pertinent to human existence which could allow human beings to rise to the proximity of the Divine presence. This will be accomplished through investigating; Ibn ʿArabī’s discussion of those activities in his book Fuṣūṣ al-Ḫikam, where he analyzes the prophetic saying: “Three things were made beloved to me in this world of yours: women, perfume and the solace of my eye was made in prayer”.

This article focuses on the changes which occurred in modern Russian literature after the collapse of communism. There is no more Soviet censorship banning a lot of topics such as human beings, individual’s problems, life choices and decisions. The authors of the anthology titled Nine Stories with Madness in the Background write about individuality and difficulties connected with insecurity in the chaos of the modern world. Mental illness and disorders usually play the role of metaphors referring to the obstacles in understanding and behaviour in the new post-soviet space.

Human beings are deeply related to land. Human beings take birth on land, live on land, die on land and mixes with land ultimately. As stated in the holy Quran: ‘We (Allah) created you (human beings) from the soil, we shall make you return to the soil and We shall call you back again from the soil’ (20:55). Human life is surrounded by soil i.e. land. So, land is a highly completed issue of human life involving economic, social, political, cultural and often religious systems. Land administration is thus a critical element and often a pre-condition for peaceful society and sustainable development. In administrating land, Khatian or record of rights plays a vital role to determine the rights and interests of the respective parties as supportive evidence. In this article, discussion is mainly made on the fact that Khatian or record of rights is not a document of title solely but it may be an evidence of title as well as possession. Aboutness has been studied from any number of angles. Brentano made it the defining feature of the mental. Phenomenologists try to pin down the aboutness features of particular mental states. Materialists sometimes claim to have grounded aboutness in natural regularities. Attempts have even been made, in library science and information theory, to operationalize the notion. However, it has played no real role in philosophical semantics, which is surprising. This is the first book to examine through a philosophical lens the role of subject matter in meaning. A long-standing tradition sees meaning as truth conditions, to be specified by listing the scenarios in which a sentence is true. Nothing is said about the principle of selection—about what in a scenario gets it onto the list. Subject matter is the missing link here. A sentence is true because of how matters stand where its subject matter is concerned. This book maintains that this is not just a feature of subject matter, but its essence. One indicates what a sentence is about by mapping out logical space according to its changing ways of being true or false. The notion of content that results—directed content—is brought to bear on a range of philosophical topics, including ontology, verisimilitude, knowledge, loose talk, assertive content, and philosophical methodology. The book represents a major advance in semantics and the philosophy of language.

Seventy Years after its proclamation, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, despite not having a binding force for the states, still provides at international level the fundamental text from which the principles and the values for the preservation of liberty and right of people are taken. In this article, the author particularly underlines the importance of Declaration’s article 1, which states: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights”. With these words the Declaration presses states to undertake economic policies aimed at achieving economic and social progress for all individuals. Unfortunately, we also have to underline the lack of effective social policies in government programs of the E.U. Member States. The author inquires whether it is left to European judges to affirm the importance of social welfare.
