scholarly journals IoT Based Cloud Integrated Smart and Sustainable Classroom

Now a day, every educational environment requires an evolution of classrooms from traditional model to a more active model of classrooms. The main objective of a classroom model is to spend more time on teaching and learning and less on organizing and monitoring the workflow of the classroom. This project proposes “IoT based Cloud Integrated Smart and sustainable Classroom”. Smart classroom is developed to monitor and regularize the activities like assignments, projects, tutorial submission and attendance monitoring of the Students or scholar at ease in real time by the faculty, mentor or advisor. The proposed system monitors and reports whether the assignments, projects, tutorial is submitted on or before scheduled timeline, and sends the remainder notification to complete the assigned work in stipulated time. The proposed system utilizes Cloud Computing and Internet of Things, where sensors and processors are embedded in physical objects to form a network and communicate information with ease. RF identity card reader is fixed at each classroom to monitor the Students and give them alert, so that they meet the faculty or mentor for getting permission for attending the class if they failed to submit their work on time. Thus, by reducing the work of management, time for teaching and learning will be increased resulting in high performance of the classroom.

Many higher education institutions are hoping to enhance student engagement in learning environment for improving the educational experiences and outcomes. Therefore, providing expectations of learners and using new technology environments to facilitate their teaching and learning activities are prominent to make universities competitive. A solution can be cloud computing which is the newest alternative in current educational environments and has significant impact on teaching and learning. This study explores the cloud-based educational environment and discusses how universities may take advantage of cloud computing in terms of students' social presence in relation to satisfaction and perceived learning. This study conducted a survey consisting of 13 questions among students from a public university in the southern region of peninsular Malaysia. The total number of respondents is 103 students. Through this study, a basis for the investigation of cloud computing in higher education is successfully established.

This chapter describes an economical and scalable open source cloud computing technology suitable for a university environment where the need is to simultaneously serve a diverse spectrum of educational and research missions. In particular, this chapter reviews a cloud computing technology called Virtual Computing Lab (VCL, http://vcl.ncsu.edu). This open source technology was originally designed and built at North Carolina State University (NCSU), and its seamlessly supports both the electronic teaching and learning needs of the university as well as a robust environment for faculty high performance computing research needs. Extensive data from the NCSU VCL production system show the economic scalability of the solutions. The authors discuss economic viability of the solution and the trade-off analysis that needs to be done to understand how much of the equipment, virtualization, and workload balancing among on-demand and background workloads need to happen.

Abstract. Educational environment is needed in the education process, because the educational environment serves to support the process of teaching and learning, a comfortable environment and support for the implementation of an education is needed. The environment is distinguished into the biological environment, the non-living natural environment, the artificial environment and the social environment. Education is one of the first obligations for parents. In Islam, the person most responsible for the education of the child is the parent. The family is the "smallest people" who have leaders and members, has a division of work and work, and the rights and obligations of each member. The best exemplary education for children is if both parents are able to connect their child with the example of Rasûlullâh SAW, as uswah of all mankind. A positive school environment is a school environment that provides facilities and motivation for religious education. Keywords. Environment, Education   Abstrak. Massive image processing technology requires high requirements of processor and memory, and it needs to adopt high performance of processor and the large capacity memory. While the single or single core processing and traditional memory can’t satisfy the need of image processing. This paper introduces the cloud computing function into the massive image processing system. Through the cloud computing function it expands the virtual space of the system, saves computer resources and improves the efficiency of image processing. The system processor uses multi-core DSP parallel processor, and develops visualization parameter setting window and output results using VC software settings. Through simulation calculation we get the image processing speed curve and the system image adaptive curve. It provides the technical reference for the design of large-scale image processing system.

With the development of emerging technology innovations such as the internet of things, classroom management has also shown an informatization trend. Among them, smart classrooms are an important part of the current university information environment construction. The purpose of this article is to build a smart classroom into an intelligent teaching environment with many functions such as intelligent perception and identification, real-time monitoring based on the internet of things technology and cloud computing technology. A questionnaire survey was conducted among freshman students in some majors, and interviews were conducted with the instructors. It was found that 92.19% of the students were satisfied with the classroom learning in the smart classroom environment, and most teachers thought that the teaching effect had been improved. Experiments have proven that the operation of smart classrooms based on the internet of things and cloud computing realizes the intelligence of teaching management services and improves the level of education informationization in schools.
