This research aims to determine the effect of co-op-co-op on students' self-efficacy in speaking to the  second grade students of Al-Ashriyah Gunungsari. This research is pre-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this study consisted of 42 students; oral test is used as the instrument in this study. Pre-test and post-test are applied for one class. Data analysis techniques of this resaearch used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The findings of the study showed that the t-test was 111.7 and the t-table value was 1,684 with 40 degrees of freedom in the 0.05% confidence level. This shows that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. It is revealed that the experimental average score is high. It concluded that the co-op-co-op method has significant effect in teaching speaking to second grade students of Al-Ashriyah Gunungsari. Based on the result  of this research, it is reccomended for the teachers to apply co-op-co-op in teaching speaking for the students.

This research is aimed to find out the effect of definitions toward students’ vocabulary mastery: it was an experimental study at the second grade student of MTs NW Haqqul Yaqin Sayang- sayang. The subject of this research was the second grade of MTs NW Haqqul Yaqin Sayang- sayang.The research was used experimental method with quantitative approach. The population of this research consist of 55 students, and the sample is 29 for experimental group while 26 for control group. The technique of collecting data was used definition for experimental group and matching word with antonym for control group. The data was collected by using post-test only and the data was analyzed by t-test formula. Based on data analysis the mean score of experimental group was 76,4 and control group was 69,23, beside of that standard deviation for experimental group was 114,28 and for control group was 113,09 and the value of t-test was 2,44 and t-table was 2,000. Degree of freedom is 53 with significant level 0,05. It means that the value of t-test was higher than t-table (t-test ˃ t-table). The alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. Thus, the conclusion of this research was there was an effect of definition toward students’ vocabulary mastery: an experimental study at the second grade students of MTs NW Haqqul Yaqin Sayang-sayang.

Reading is one of the important skills that the students have to master. However, many students have difficulties in comprehending the reading text. To solve this condition, the researcher used schema activation strategy to help students understand reading comprehension. The purpose of this research was to investigate whether the use of schema activation strategy is effective or not in teaching reading comprehension at the second-grade students of MTs Tarbiyatul Mustafid in academic year 2017/2018. This study was quasi-experimental design using two classes were VIII B class was taken as an experimental class, and VII-A was taken as control class. The population of this research involved 60 students from the second grade in MTs Tarbiyatul Mustafid Batu Simpang. By using purposive sampling, the researcher took the students as a sample. In collecting the data, this study used pre-test, treatment, and post-test as the data collection procedure then followed by analyzing the data by using the t-test formula. Then the result of statistical analysis of t-test in this research was 2.85. It was higher than critical values for t- table in the degree of freedom (df) of 58 is 2.021(0.05%) and 2.704(0.01%). The researcher concludes that mean score before and after teaching by using schema activation strategy has a difference. It means the alternative hypothesis (ha) was accepted. The use of schema activation strategy in teaching reading comprehension at the second-grade students of MTs Tarbiyatul Mustafid Batu Rimpang is effective.

This research was aimed to find out whether the use of expand game effective toward students’ motivation in learning grammar and to find out correlation between students’ motivation and grammar. The kind of this research was experimental research with pre test and post test design. The population of this research was the students at the second grade students of of MTs Al-Muslimun NW Tegal consist of 104 students. The sample of this research used two classes namely experimental group and control group where each group consisted of 26 students. The sample technique used in this research was cluster random sampling by using lottery. The experimental was taught by expand game and control group taught by puzzle game. The instruments that used were grammar test and questionnaire for the motivation. The data analyzed used t-test. The result of the analyzed showed that the value of to (t obtained) 3.50 was higher than tt (t table) 2.056, the significant level 0.05. Based on the result of the study, it could be concluded that the use of expand game effective in learning grammar at the Second Grade Students of MTs Al-Muslimun NW Tegal and the result correlation between students’ motivation and grammar showed r-test was higher than r-table (0.979 > 0.388). Based on the result of the study, it could be concluded that is correlation between students’ motivation and grammar is accepted. In other word, alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected.

This research aimed at findings out whether or not the students were able to improve their writing strategy and whether the students able to use  List, Inquire and Note Strategy in writing or not. This research used a pre – experimental method  with one group pre – test and post – test  design. The population was the second grade  students of Analkes Muhammdiyah Makassar.  The sample were 24 students by using purposive sampling by taking one class . The data was analyzed into precentage, mean score analysis and value of t – test. The result of the data analysis showed that the students’ writing achievement, in pre – test was X1 = 54,6 and post – test X2 = 71,1. The result of the t – test value was (24,19) is greater than the t – table value was (2,601) this indicates that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative  hypothesis (H1) is accepted. There is significant difference of the students’ writing achievement before and after presenting  materials by using LINK strategy. Based on the findings  and discussions of the research the writer concludes  that  using List, Inquire, Note,  Strategy can improve the ability of the students of Analkes Muhammadiyah in writing.

The aim of this research is to apply Know Want to Learn strategy to improve reading skill in second grade students of SDN 245 Temboe. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in collaboration with teachers through the use of Hopkins model consisting of 4 stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were the students of class II SDN 245 Temboe which amounted to 19 students. The data collection technique used is by observation, test and documentation. The research data obtained is analyzed by using statistical formula (percentage) to express descriptively the research result. Furthermore, to discuss and explain the results of research that is quantitative descriptive then used data analysis techniques by reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. With the implementation of Know Want to Learn (KWL) strategy can improve reading skill in second grade students of SDN 245 Temboe, the improvement is proved by the increasing of average score of students reaching Minimum Exhaustiveness Criteria (KKM) and number of students on pre-action test reaching KKM amounted to 26.31% with an average score of 59, in the first cycle the number of students who reached the KKM of 47.36% with an average score of 66, and in the second cycle the number of students who reached the KKM of 94.73% 85. Thus, the reading skill in class II SDN 245 Temboe by applying the Know Want to Learn strategy (KWL) conducted from the first cycle to the second cycle shows significant results.

The researcher applied Community Language Learning (CLL) in teaching speaking skill. The purpose of this research was to identify the effect of using Community Language Learning (CLL) Method towards speaking skill students who received the class instruction by using CLL than students who do not receive method at the second semester students of ABA Persada Bunda in Pekanbaru. The  design of the research was experimental design with the total number of population are 25 students from the second semester students of ABA Persada Bunda in Pekanbaru. Instrument in this research was an oral test speaking by report. Data were analyzed using t-test. The result of the test showed that the average score of students’ pre test was 68,50 and then the average of students post test was 74,58. The results of this research found that the alternative hypothesis was accepted and rejected a hypothesis null. It can be seen from the t-test (0.000) significant at the level of 0.05. The result of N-Gain of experimental class was 0,31. It meant that the significant of strategy that used in experimental class was Middle because the average of N-Gain was 0.31. From the above explanation, the researcher concluded that Community Language Learning (CLL) Method effective for teaching speaking skill at the second semester students of ABA Persada Bunda in Pekanbaru.

This research is to know the effects of the use of short film animation as media for teaching writing descriptive text for 7thgrade students at Junior High School. The method that used in this study was Quasi-Experimental, which are conducted an experimental class and control class. Based on the results of statistical calculations, the average score in the experimental class the pre-test value is lower than the post-test. Meanwhile, in the control class the average pre-test and post-test results were still as low. The t-test results showed that the tv value was higher than the table (3.80> 1,999) with 62 degrees of freedom and a significance level of 5%. That is, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. So, the use of animated short films gives effect in writing descriptive text.

This paper aims to see the effectiveness of the using strategy of the SOAPS to improve the reading comprehension of second-grade students at Satria Makassar High School in the academic year 2018/2019. This study used a pre-experimental procedure consisting of 20 students in one class.Researchers applied test reading material consisting of 30 multiple-choice items. The conclusions indicate that there are significant differences in student achievement in reading comprehension, where the post-test average score is higher than the pre-test (71.30> 51.55) based on the findings of this study

This research describes the use of Crossword Puzzle to improve students’ vocabulary mastery. Moreover, it was to find out whether Crossword Puzzle is effective to improve students’ vocabulary mastery at the second grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung. This research used experimental design in which the samples of the research were assessed both before and after an experimental treatment. The subject of the research consisted of 68 students, they were divided into experimental and control group. The instruments used for collecting the data were test which was consisted of pretest and posttest. The data analysis of this research was attempted by using independent sample T-test which was calculated through computing with statistical package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20.The result indicated that the students’ mean score of experimental and control group in post-test were significantly different. It showed that t-count was higher than t-table (4.454 > 1.9966) and the sig. 2-tailed value was lower than sig. Level (0.000 > 0.05). Therefore the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It meant that there was effective impact of using crossword puzzle towards students’ vocabulary mastery. Decision based on facts, using crossword puzzle as a technique was effective to improve students’ vocabulary. Therefore, it was suggested the use of crossword puzzle as a technique in teaching English generally and teaching Vocabulary specifically

This research was aimed to find out the effect of Verb Story game towards students’ motivation in learning grammar. The research was experimental research and the design that was used was post-test only design. The population of the study was the second grade students of MTs Aunul Ibad NW Beroro course which consisted of four classes. Two classes were chosen as the samples, those were MTs Aunul Ibad NW Beroro A Class as experimental group consisted of twenty four students and C Class as control group consisted twenty four students. They were chosen by using Simple Random Sampling technique. Experimental group was treated by Verb Story game and control group was treated by Verb Search game. The instrument that was used objective test and questionnaire in forms of multiple choices and matching word. Then, the scores were analyzed by using statistical analysis. It showed the mean score of experimental group was 73,16 while the mean score control group was 55,12 and the value of t (t test) = 3,537 was higher than the value of  (t table) = 2, 013 at the significance level of 5% and the number of degree freedom (46). Therefore, according to the result of the analysis, it can be concluded that it can be concluded that the use of verb story game is effective in learning grammar at second grade students of MTs Aunul Ibad NW Beroro and the result correlation between students’ motivation and grammar, it shows r-test (0,993) > r-table (0,404). Based on the result of the study, it can be conclude there is correlation between students’ motivation and grammar is accepted. In other word, alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected.
