Along with the development of technology both directly and indirectly can change someone in communicating, socializing and learning, this is a challenge for lecturers to be able to use technology optimally and to facilitate interaction with students in teaching and learning both in class and outside the classroom so that indicators in the unit of lecture events and semester learning design can be achieved. Edmodo is a social network platform for lecturers and students to share ideas, files, agenda of activities and assignments. Edmodo is designed to create lecturer and student interactions that emphasize fast communication, polling, assignments, sharing ideas, and much more. The research aims: 1) to find out whether mathematics learning using Edmodo (experimental) is better than learning without using Edmodo (conventional) on mathematical communication; 2) to find out whether students who study using Edmodo are positive towards learning mathematics. Quantitative research with quasi-experiment method, the research design used is nonequivalent control group design: providing two different treatments to two groups, namely the experimental class (Edmodo) and the control class (conventional). Quantitative data collection and analysis techniques using normality test, homogeneity test, two average similarity test, and t test. The results of the study are: 1). Learning using edmodo is better with learning without using edmodo with mathematical communication skills. 2). Students who learn to use edmodo have a positive attitude towards learning mathematics. The implication of the research is for the next researcher, using edmodo media so that maximum control is needed on students. If further research is conducted with different samples, the results shown will also be different. This can be viewed from a variety of different characteristics of students that greatly affect the ability of mathematical communication.

Mathematics learning is learning that develops student creativity to improve thingking skills, construct new knowledge to increase good mastery of mathematical material. In learning mathematics there are several obstacles, namely low student achievement, lack of student motivation and students still think that mathematics is difficult and difficult to learn. To overcome these obstacles there is a solution for learning mathematics that is using Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) assisted by the number of hours in the addition operation material. By using Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) assisted by number hours, it is expected to be able to improve student learning achievement in the addition operation material at SDN Batulawang. This research uses quantitative research using quasi experimental methods with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted in SDN Batulawang with a population of thirty people and used a systematic sample that divided students into two classes using even odd numbers, so that the control class was fifteen people and the experimental class fifteen people. Data collection techniques were carried out through pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using SPSS.

This study focuses on the teaching and learning of the pre-numeracy concepts through technology at Foundation Phase. It pre-supposes that the use of information and communication technology resources presents an innovative way to improve teaching and learning mathematics. The author argues that young children's relational conceptions of number lie at the core of their mathematics education as any subsequent mathematics learning heavily depends on it. This learning process is by no little means assisted through the mathematical activities teachers engage their learners and the resources they avail them, such as information and communication technologies. Principally important are the discursive interactions that ought to arise around the activities and the resources used. The author presumes that mastery learning is advanced by teaching using the variation theory. Teaching through variation aims to anchor knowledge; to make mathematical knowledge visible to amateurs through distinguishing the essential features of an ‘object of learning’ from its non-essential features. A treatment group was taught with information and communication technologies against a control group that used traditional teaching methods. Despite other intervening variables, the results of the study suggested better learning outcomes from the experimental group.

Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis, Disposisi Matematis, Model Pembelajaran Search, Solve, Create and Share (SSCS) ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning result of students in Indonesia. This is caused by several factors, such as the low ability of understanding mathematical concepts and supported by the low mathematical disposition of students is the appreciation of mathematics learning. One of the efforts to improve the students' understanding of mathematical concepts and mathematical dispositions is by using Search, Solve, Create and Share (SSCS) learning model which makes students self-reliant, active and focused in learning mathematics. This study aims to determine the improvement of the ability to comprehend mathematical concepts and mathematical disposition of students by using SSCS model in mathematics learning. This research uses quasi experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. The subjects of this research are class VIII C (experiment) and VIII D (control) semester 2 SMPN 2 Serang City. The instrument used in this research is the ability to comprehend mathematical concepts and mathematical disposition scale. Data of this study were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, two-party test, and one-party test. The conclusion of this research is the ability of understanding mathematical concepts of students using SSCS learning model better than students using conventional learning model. While mathematical dispositions using SSCS learning models have a lower or equal increase with students using conventional learning models. Thus the SSCS learning model can be applied to improve the comprehension of mathematical concepts but less effective in improving mathematical disposition of Junior High School students.   Keywords: Ability  to  Understand  Mathematical  Concept,  Mathematical  Disposition,  Search,  Solve, Create and Share Learning Model (SSCS)
