The national strategy for the development of artificial intelligence for the period up to 2030 sets the task of a significant increase in the number of scientific articles by Russian scientists in this field. To do this, it is necessary to navigate the priorities, problems and prospects of scientific research carried out all over the world. However, there is currently not a single generalizing work on regional economic studies using artificial intelligence algorithms. Therefore, the object of the study was the world array of scientific publications on regional economic research, and the subject of the study was a lot of articles on the use of artificial intelligence algorithms in such studies. The purpose of the work was to generalize world experience. To select the necessary publications, a self-organizing semantic search algorithm has been developed, based on the ideas of content analysis, expert systems and machine learning. The search was carried out in the Scopus database. About a hundred articles were identified. A brief description of ten artificial intelligence algorithms used in regional economic research is given. Analysis of world experience has revealed five features: algorithms are not used to solve all research problems; are not aimed at creating a universal autonomous artificial intelligence system; are increasingly focusing outside of artificial neural networks; rarely used in combination; in domestic works are less diverse than in competing countries. It is proposed to focus efforts on identification of economic regions of specific functioning of production, transport and service systems of artificial intelligence; identification of territorial digital platforms; analysis of the intensity of gravitational interaction of geographically distributed socio-economic objects through 5G and 6G telecommunication networks; assessment of the direction and volume of regional information flows; determination of models of spatial diffusion of innovations in artificial intelligence among Russian regions. The accelerated development of these areas with significant government support will allow Russia to provide a methodological gap from other countries in the field of regional economic research by 2030

There are abundant genetic resources of Populus in southwest China, which play an important role in scientific research and practical application. These resources are unfamiliar to the rest of the world and their value has not been widely appreciated; hence the purpose of this paper is to present the resources to the world, and to encourage more attention to be paid to them. There are 28 species, 20 varieties, and about 10 natural hybrids of Populus in the region. Of the 28 species, 25 are endemic to China, and 18 of them are indigenous to southwest China. So the region is regarded as one of the natural distribution and variation centres for Populus in China. The species fall into three floristic types: China–Japan, China–Himalayas, and ancient tropical; and show an obvious zonation in horizontal and vertical distribution with excellent adaptability to a wide range of environments. At present, only a few species are generally recognized, and to some extent grown and utilized, while most of them are still in natural conditions but face severe threat. It is therefore urgent to recognize, conserve and utilize these significant poplar resources.

Citizens around the world are changing their urban environment through bottom-up projects. They are increasingly using digital platforms to come together. From the perspective of smart city research, this form of participation and interaction with city administrations has not yet been researched and defined. In our study we suggest a conceptualisation of bottomup urbanism participatory platforms and analysed 143 platforms. We identified 23 platforms as our study sample. They vary in their focus from implementation to funding or discussion. Therefor we found a broad range of participation mechanisms. A wide range of employment or voluntary work of staff members was shown. A heterogeneous picture also emerged regarding other characteristics (e.g. funding size, users or number of projects). One thing they have in common is their good cooperation with cities and regional actors.

The article describes the importance of coloristics. Color is an integral part that forms a complete image of the world. It can unite urban ensembles, to bear the emotional and aesthetic burden. Color fills the world with expressiveness. The various functions of light in a person's life help to reveal the concepts of a color phenomenon, which contains a mixture of colors, the theory of color harmonies, manifested in the spiritual and material qualities of being. The color phenomenon is association formed in the consciousness. An important aspect in the formation of architectural space is the color of the object-spatial environment. This is a system that includes the color environment of natural objects and the human made architecture. Creative experience and scientific research in the field of color solutions are used for the successful design of the subject-spatial environment. In architecture, color is manifested in terms of aesthetic and psychological approaches. Any activity to create color solutions of the architectural space aims to meet the aesthetic requirements. In addition, coloristics must consider the function of objects, their design and features of the object concept in order to solve a wide range of issues.

This article aims to promote a theoretical framework for designing an educational website based on scientific standards for non-native Arabic speakers to improve their abilities and performance in learning Arabic language. As Arabic language is commonly known as the language of Holy Quran and is the language of Prophet Muhammad (last of the prophets), so it is considered as one of the oldest languages in the world. In addition, it is widely used around the world and is the spoken language of the Arab states in the Middle East and North Africa. So, increasing the number of people who show their desires to learn Arabic language as a second language leads to build various online educational approaches. But based on previous studies, many educational websites are not built based on scientific standards, which affect students’ academic performance; therefore, there is an emergency demand to promote the theoretical framework for designing an educational website based on scientific standards to facilitate language acquisition and help non-native Arabic speakers to overcome the difficulties that they face in learning Arabic language.

The social significance and quality of scientific research largely depend on the usefulness of research results for the social and scientific community. The lack of funds and the desire to allocate funding to high-quality research projects make the assessment of the quality of research and the valorization of knowledge increasingly important. However, it is very difficult to apply criteria that can objectively assess scientific research, providing precise qualitative and quantitative data on which funding agencies could base their decisions. The product of scientific research is mainly information published in scientific journals. They are the basis for the dissemination of knowledge and the basic criteria for academic and scientific evaluation, fundraising for scientific research and career advancement. In addition to the evaluation of scientific publications, there is a wide range of other activities that reflect the scientific credibility of scientists, such as: number and quality of grants for scientific research projects, leadership in national or international academic societies, membership in editorial boards of reputable journals, doctoral dissertation mentorships and the like. Although these activities are important and give credibility to the scientist, the relevant scientometric systems cover only publications, neglecting other criteria of scientific importance in evaluation for purpose of academic advancement of a scientist, as well as competitions for grants for financial support of scientific research. The reason for this is the fact that these activities, regardless of their importance, are very heterogeneous, with specific characteristics, and require very diverse parameters for evaluation. Therefore, there are no universal evaluation criteria for these activities and their quality is generally assessed individually, depending on the purpose of the assessment. Regardless of the shortcomings, university ranking systems are important comparative parameters for assessing the quality of scientific and educational value of universities.

Goal. To carry out the analysis of phytosanitary risk for Ukraine of a dangerous quarantine pest Eutetranychus orientalis Klein (oriental spider mite). Research Methods. The main method is information-analytical. We conducted analytical research and analysis of reports from the Mediterranean, World Plant Protection Organizations, literary sources of scientific publications and online resources. Phytosanitary risk analysis (PRA) was performed according to the EPPO standards PM 5/3 (5), PM 5/1, PM 5/4 [3, 4, 5]. The possibility of acclimatization of the pest was determined using modern computer programs IDRISI SELVA, MapInfo Pro 15.0 and AgroAtlas. Results. Eutetranychus orientalis Klein (oriental spider mite) absent in Ukraine is a polyphage, it can damage 217 species of plants, preferring citrus, and is widespread in the world. Many species of plants that are host plants of the eastern spider mite grow in Ukraine and are important in the production of fruits, vegetables, and oils. The primary pest habitat was the Middle East, but currently E. orientalis is found in many countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania and is in a wide climatic range. Thus, in European countries which lie in the pest habitat, the climate is subtropical, Mediterranean and temperate, transitional to continental (Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Turkey). In Asia (China, India, Israel, Iraq, Saudi Arabia), the area of the pest occupies territories dominated by tropical, subtropical and temperate climates. In recent years, several species of tetrachnid mites, including E. orientalis, have expanded their geographical range, mainly due to increased trade and travel around the world, posing a threat to agriculture in many countries. Under optimal conditions, 25 generations per year can occur. The spread of E. orientalis is by air masses or anthropic. Distribution of E. orientalis is carried out by air masses or anthropically. The most likely pathway for spreading the pest is through infected planting material. Given the high reproductive potential of E. Orientalis, the rate of expansion of the habitat, the diversity of the plant’s food supply, its adaptability to a wide range of climatic conditions, there is a need to analyze the phytosanitary risk (AFR) of the eastern spider mite for Ukraine. The end result of the research is the determination of the quarantine status of the pest and the proposal for amendments to the «List of regulated pests» that are quarantined in Ukraine. Conclusions. There is a high likelihood of acclimatization of Eutetranychus orientalis in Ukraine, which is due to the large number of host plants and compliance with the species requirements to the climatic conditions. Potential habitat area in Ukraine may be the southern coast of Crimea. Phytosanitary risk analysis of Eutetranychus orientalis Klein (Eastern spider mite) for Ukraine identified the need for the pest to be granted the status of a quarantine organism absent in Ukraine (list A1) and to amend the «List of regulated pests of Ukraine».
