The intensifi cation of modern industrial poultry farming as the most progressive and dynamically developing branch of agriculture aimed at raising productivity and increasing production volumes, inevitably leads to numerous problems related to poultry health. One of the most common ways to solve this problem is to use antibacterial drugs. The results of scientifi c and economic experiment on the use of the phytobiotic additive “Farmatan VSO (Butitan)” in feeding broiler chickens of cross Cobb-500 have been provided in the article. The inclusion in the poultry diet of the phytobiotic “Farmatan VSO (Butitan)” in the amount for compound feed Start 800 g/t, Growth and Finish – 400 g/t leads to increase in the live weight of broilers by 3,0 % compared to the control group. At the same time the average daily gain of live weight in the 4th experimental group was 73 g, which was by 2,8 % more than in the control group. The use of phytobiotic additives in the feeding of broiler chickens contributes to the highest livability of poultry (98,1 %). It has been found that the best indicators for feed expenditures have been noted in the 3rd and 4th experimental groups 1,47 and 1,48 kg, which were 3,3 and 2,6 % lower than in the control group. Thus, the authors have found that the highest live weight, average daily gain, livability and lowest expenditures of feed per unit of production diff ered in broiler chickens of 4th experimental group where in the compound feed antibiotic Flavomycin has been replaced on phytobiotic feed additive “Farmatan VSO (Butican)” in the compound feed Start 800 g/t, Growth and Finish- 400 g/t. Production testing of the use of “Farmatan VSO (Butitan)” has shown the high eff ectiveness of phytobiotics as a mean of replacing the feed antibiotic and improving the livestock indicators of broiler chickens rearing.

In providing the population with high-quality and cheap beef a signifi cant role is assigned, and in the future will be assigned to beef cattle breeding. The development of this industry and its eff ectiveness depends on the correct use of available feed resources. With the development of the feed industry the main task of which is mainly to ensure that in a small volume, as much as possible, as many sources of nutrients in a highly digestible form, the use of feed additives becomes important. Feed additives as a rule should compensate for the missing elements in the ration. The level and ratio of nutrients in them have a stimulating eff ect on the growth of muscle tissue and the formation of a strong backbone. The purpose of the work was to study the eff ect of the feed additive Vermiculite on the live weight of Kazakh White-headed steers. In order to study the feed additive Vermiculite in the rations of steers a scientifi c and economic experiment has been carried out on the basis of LLP “Terra” in the Kostanay region in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Two groups of steers have been formed for this purpose with 10 heads in each. The control group has received a basic feeding ration consisting of corn silage, haylage, wheat straw, complete feed (wheat, barley). The experimental group has received 200 g of Vermiculite per 1 head/day in addition to the main ration. During the entire period of the experiment the steers of the experimental group had the highest indicators of average daily growth compared to their herdmates in the control group. The highest value of the average daily gain in both groups has been observed in the period of 8–12 months, amounting to 1123,3 g in the control group, and 1159,2 g in the experimental group. The diff erence in favor of the steers of the experimental group was 35,9 g or 3,2 % (P < 0,01). In general during the experiment the diff erence in the average daily gain in live weight between the groups was 31,1 g or 3,5 % in favor of the animals of the experimental group.

One of the ways to increase meat resources is to improve the condition of livestock on farms in the Russian Federation. This is due to the fact that when the fatness of the animal increases, the meat yield in the carcass increases. The purpose of the researches was to establish the features of the infl uence of the feed protein additive Biovitel on the growth and development of steers of Hereford breed. In order to achieve this purpose two groups of steers-analogs of Hereford breed (control and experimental) at the age of 6 months per 10 head in each have been formed. The time of the experiment was: the preparatory period of 22 days and the main one 275 days. Steers of the control group have received the main farm ration, and steers of the experimental group have received the main ration and feed protein additive Biovitel for 30 days with 10-days interval at the dose of 100 g per head during the sixth month. The results of researches on the infl uence of the feed protein additive Biovitel on the growth and development of steers of Hereford breed have been refl ected in the article. The addition of the feed additive Biovitel to the main ration of the experimental group of steers helped them to achieve a higher live weight and higher average daily gains under the same environments of feeding and housing in all age periods. By the end of the experiment (15 months) the experimental group of steers have reached the live weight of 430,2 kg, which was higher by 19,9 kg or 4,9 % compared to the control group of steers. In order to improve the quality of beef and increase its production more intensive rearing of steers of Hereford breed with the use of feed protein additive Biovitel has been justifi ed. The recommended dose is 100 g per head. This dosage allows you to achieve the average daily gain of 967,5 g and the average live weight of 430,2 kg by 15 months of age, reduce the prime cost and increase the profi tability of beef production.

The use of nanomaterials in poultry farming has become increasingly popular as feed additives capable of increasing the productivity of the herd. Nanocrystalline cerium dioxide belongs to nanomaterials with a broad spectrum of activity. Owing to their oxygen non-stoichiometry and low toxicity, cerium dioxide nanoparticles are a very promising object for agriculture. The paper presents the results of studying the meat productivity of quails of the Pharaoh breed when drinking nanocrystalline cerium dioxide in the composition of the feed additive “Nanocerium”. The study was carried out on quails during the rearing period from 14 to 49 days. For the experiment, two groups (control and experimental) of 24 heads each were formed from one day old poultry. The quails were kept in a vivarium, in cage batteries, subject to the accepted microclimate conditions. Poultry of both groups received compound feed, developed taking into account age and physiological characteristics. With drinking water, the of the experimental group additionally received nanocrystalline cerium dioxide as part of the feed additive “Nanocerium” at a dose of 8,6 mg per liter of water for 35 days. The quail population was counted and weighed weekly, starting from the day-old age. The following indicators were determined: safety, dynamics of live weight, average daily gain in live weight. According to the results of the control slaughter and anatomical cutting, the weight of the carcass and the weight of the edible part were determined. Slaughter qualities and morphological composition of quail carcasses were determined by anatomical cutting with the measurement of the following parameters: pre-slaughter weight, half-battered carcass weight, carcass patrana, slaughter yield, weight of edible parts. Drinking the feed additive “Nanocerium” by young quails increased their safety by 4.17%, live weight and absolute average daily gain by 20.3 g and 0.48 g (P <0.05), respectively. The addition of NDC quails to drinking water contributed to an increase in their pre-slaughter weight by 19.3 g, half-gutted carcass by 18.0 g, and gutted by 17.5 g in comparison with the control group. The quail carcasses of the experimental group had a higher yield of edible parts in comparison with the poultry that consumed pure water. Key words: quail, nanocrystalline cerium dioxide, safety, body mass, gain, slaughter rates, output of edible part.

Aimed to study the effective use of different doses of cuprum proteinate in the diet of broiler chickens, three groups of animals were formed with 50 chicks in each. Chickens from the 1st control group received cuprum sulphate as a part of compound feed, and animals from the 2nd and 3rd experimental groups received cuprum proteinate. The concentration of Cuprum in the feed in the 1st and 2nd groups was identical, and in the 3rd experimental group the amount of Cuprum was reduced by 25% compared to the control. During scientific and economic experiment, it was found that the replacement of cuprum sulphate with its proteinate with the same concentration in the feed has a positive effect on the average daily gain of broiler chickens, and therefore a live weight. Thus, the animals from the 2nd experimental group exceeded control analogues by 7.5% in average daily gain and by 9.4% in body mass at the end of the experiment. Reducing the concentration of Cuprum in the feed of chickens from the 3rd experimental group by 25% (the source of the microelement is cuprum proteinate) compared to the control also had a positive effect on the productivity of these animals. They exceeded control analogues in terms of average daily weight gain by 3.8%, and in terms of live weight by 5.8%. At the same time the direct correlation between animal productivity and quantity of the consumed feed was noted. Thus, broilers from the 2nd experimental group consumed more feed by 3.3% compared to control peers. The chickens from the 3rd experimental group exceeded controls by 1.5% in this index. Thus, cuprum proteinate is a more efficient source of Cuprum for broiler feed. The concentration of this microelement in the feed of these animals aged 5-21 days should be 18.2 g/t, 22–35 days - 16.8 g/t, 36–42 days - 12 g/t or 16.5 g/t on average during the experiment.

The purpose of the researches was to study the influence of different doses of smectic kizelgur and calf skim milk replacer in the recipes of compound feed for young pigs under the conditions of industrial pork production technology. The experimental part of the work has been performed under the conditions of the pig complex of LLC “BMPK” in the Karachevsky area in the Bryansk region. The research materials were compound feed for young pigs on fattening in the inclusion of different doses of smectic kizelgur. The infl uence of feeding compound feed with different doses of smectic kizelgur and calf skim milk replacer to young pigs on productivity, digestibility of nutrients and use of nitrogen, morphological and biochemical parameters of blood, fattening and meat traits of young pigs has been studied. Effective recipes for feeding compound feeds to young pigs prepared with the inclusion of different doses of smectic kizelgur and calf skim milk replacer have been identified. The data have been obtained from the first experiment of young pigs when them fed compound feed with different doses of smectic kizelgur; it has been followed that at the end of fattening the biggest live weight of gilts had in the 4th experimental group fed compound feed, which included 3 % smectic kizelgur. The influence of the additive on changes in live weight and daily gains when adding smectic kizelgur to compound feed in doses of 1,5 and 2,0 % was less, but the trend to increase these indicators over the period of fattening has remained. In the second experiment young pigs have been fed by compound feed, which included different doses of smectic kizelgur and calf skim milk replacer the average daily gain in live weight was higher in the 3rd experimental group, where they fed compound feed with the addition of 2,5 % smectic kizelgur and 2,5 % calf skim milk replacer by 2,2 %, than in the control group. The highest efficiency has been also obtained in the 3rd experimental group, where the monetary revenue has been received by 2160 rubles more in comparison with the control group of pigs.

The results of the influence of different amounts of triticale grain in feed on productivity, feed conversion and economic parameters of young rabbits for intensive growing technology are presented. For the feeding of experimental young, full-grain granulated feed was used in the structure of which there was a different grain content of triticale: experimental group II – 10.0%, III, IV and V experimental groups – 20.0%, 30.0% and 40.0% respectively. Experimental young rabbits of the first control group fed full-range feed, which was balanced by the main nutrients. According to the results of the research, it was found that from the 2nd week fattening in rabbits of experimental groups, which received a grain of triticale in the diet, an increase in live weight was observed in comparison with the control group. During the whole period of cultivation, the highest average daily gain of live weight was observed in rabbits of experimental group IV, which was 42.5 g, which is 10.1% higher compared to control. The advantage of rabbits II, III and V of experimental groups fed 10.0%, 20.0% and 40.0% of tritiacale derivatives was 3.0, 5.7% and 1.0%, respectively, in comparison with analogues of the control group. A similar trend was observed in terms of the absolute increase in live weight. According to the indicator of integrated assessment (RBC) of young rabbits, based on the average daily gain and width of the lumbar, the highest value was found in youngsters in the IV group (277.95) for the use of mixed fodders containing 30% of the grain yield of Triticale Harroza variety in the diet. The prospects of further research concerning the influence of various amounts of the investigated feed factor on reproductive indices of rabbits are outlined.

The results of the study on the effect of new microbial preparations on the dynamics of the absolute weight and average daily gain of geese are presented. In the scientific experiment, probiotics Vetom 20.76 based on the predatory fungus Arthrobotrys oligospora and Vetom 1 on the basis of live spore-forming bacteria of the Bacillus subtilis DSM 32424 strain, which have anthelmintic, antiviral and antifungal effects, were used. One control and four experimental groups of 10 goslings each at the age of 1 month were formed according to the principle of analog pairs. The goslings of the experimental groups received Vetom 20.76 in various dosages: young birds of the 1st experimental group – 0.5 μl/kg of live body weight, the 2nd – 1 μl/kg, the 3rd – 2 μl/kg. Goslings of the 4th experimental group were given Vetom 1 at a dose of 50 mg/kg of live body weight. Both drugs were given in the morning with water, once a day for 30 days. These drugs were not prescribed to geese of the control group. It was established that Preparations Vetom 20.76 in doses of 0.5; 1 and 2 μl/ kg of body weight and Vetom 1 at a dose of 50 mg/kg of body weight have a growth-stimulating effect when given to goslings for 30 days. The growth rate of the experimental birds depended on the dose of the drugs used. Optimal results were obtained with the use of Vetom 20.76 at a dose of 2 μl/ kg of body weight and Vetom 1 at a dose of 50 mg/kg of body weight once a day for 30 days. The average daily gain in live weight of the experimental geese increased in the 3d and 4th experimental groups by 5.24 and 20.60% in the first 15 days of the experiment and by 24.8 and 44.64% during the aftereffect of the drug.
