Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a communicable disease caused by a newly detected severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). COVID-19 virus has spread all over the world including India. This corona virus pandemic has radically disrupted all the sectors including education sector, which affects the socio-economic conditions of the people and education system. This study is aiming to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on educational institutions, especially imparting higher education and related stakeholders till date, when the government has taken early decisions to breakdown the spread of virus among the community. The study is descriptive and analytical in nature where the information has been collected from the various official websites, newspapers, online news articles, and discussions with colleagues working in the higher education setup. This review study suggested some measures to overcome the situation such as special hygiene and health related measures like social distancing, using precautionary tools and equipment and some socioeconomic and technological measures such as economic supports for redesigning of the sector, public private partnerships in education system, digitization of the study techniques and educational infrastructure and use of Indian traditional knowledge. The higher education plays a key role for socio-economic development of the people in any country and with the implementation of these suggestive measures, the country will move forward and ensure the overall progress in education sector.

Countries in the world face a big challenge in handling the coronavirus outbreak, which is officially identified by WHO as Corona Virus Disease-19 or abbreviated as Covid-19. This pandemic, which started in the city of Wuhan, China, has caused a global shock because, in the last few decades, we have never experienced a viral outbreak with such a rapid and massive rate and transmission rate like this coronavirus, far above its cousins ​​SARS and MERS viruses as well as Ebola, which had been tormented a few years ago, but was quickly resolved. Educational action on the impact of Covid-19 is very much needed to provide understanding to the people of Panjehang Village where the education contains what Covid-19 is, its effects and dangers, and how to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and to continue the distribution of food packages.

Corona virus has seriously affected various sectors in India. We cannot ignore hardly a single sector which has been unaffected by this pandemic. The impact may be the same is with the Indian education sector. The impact of COVID-19 on higher education has negatively affected the academic year. Lock down and post lock down period have enforced very bad effect on the schools/colleges and all educational activities. But, this change is inevitable in the context of health of students. Now educational institutions have to sustain with technologies (ICT), which have not been used before. They are fighting to survive with this tiny virus. This paper highlights some new born challenges in the Indian educational sector.

The emergence of a new virus in the global world at the end of 2019, namely Corona Virus Disease 2019, brought tremendous excitement to all inhabitants of the earth. The emergence of this virus brings tremendous concern and fear to the world because the spread of this virus is quite fast, even the most frightening is that the risk of death of people exposed to this virus is very large. Indonesia itself, cannot avoid the impact of this Covid-19 case. As a form of efforts to prevent and minimize transmission of the virus, the Indonesian government has issued a social distancing / physical distancing recommendation. This situation also causes the interaction between communities to be very limited. This situation seems to be able to eliminate hospitality among the community. This paper aims to emphasize the importance of maintaining the value of Christian hospitality in society amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Computer systems and technologies are changing our society significantly. These changes are interconnected with both social and production spheres. Innovative digital technologies have a huge impact on the labor market and professional activity, contributing to their transfer to the electronic environment. Using digital technologies, modern people set new goals and solve problems with an increasing speed of problem solving, capitalizing on the possibilities of collaborative distributed actions within networks. In this regard, new competencies of specialists are in demand. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to establish the impact of the fourth industrial revolution on the education system and the development of skills and thinking for learning. Methods: When conducting scientific research, economic and statistical methods were used. These methods were also used in comparative analysis, as well as in assessing data and indicators of the higher education system, taking into account the impact of the fourth industrial revolution. The analytical method was used to consider the characteristics and factors influencing the development of skills and thinking for learning in modern conditions. The abstract-logical method is used to identify problems affecting the development of the labor market under the influence of digital technologies. Results and their value: The result of the study is that conclusions are drawn about the upcoming changes. Automation and digitalization are likely to lead to significant unemployment in most countries, so adaptation innovation policies are needed to help offset unemployment due to digitalization. Governments need to invest heavily in higher education as an economic development tool for their citizens. Lifelong learning should be identified as a critical element of success in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. Curricula should develop digital skills and address workforce disruptions due to automation.

Agent-based modelling provides a mechanism by which complex social phenomena can simulated in order to identify how particular features arise from causes such as demographics, human preferences and their interaction with policy settings. The NetLogo environment has been used to implement a simulation of the New Zealand higher education system, using historical data to calibrate model settings to mirror those of the real-world system. This simulation is used to explore how the introduction of an alternative qualification and education paradigm might disrupt established patterns of education and employment.

Continual reforms in the Australian Higher Education Sector result in ongoing significant changes to the experiences of the Australian academic. As a result, massification, internationalisation and corporatization form the landscape of academia in Australia. The Australian University Accounting Academic (AUAA) faces ongoing challenges and opportunities within this dynamic academic environment, and this study explores these challenges in relation to teaching themed issues that confront the AUAA. By using a questionnaire and interviews with AUAAs, three themes emerged, being curriculum, teaching workload, and the impact of online teaching. The “ASSET” support framework is developed from these conversations with the AUAA’s to help them become an “asset” to the university during these times of disruptive change instead of allowing the system to “gazump” them.
