Za‘ba, or his real name Zainal Abidin bin Ahmad is not just a preacher and thinker who has sharp eyes, but also a spiritual teacher. It is based on the idea that emphasizes its meaning, purpose and value of life, which should belong to every human being, especially to a Malay Muslim. Her contributions to the community is unbeatable. It underlines the general appreciation of Islam by emphasizing a determination to use the world for the happiness of life, here and in the hereafter. For Za‘ba, mistakes in thinking lead to weaknesses in making a decision and followed by a bad action. Za‘ba’s thinking goes beyond times. His writings are almost 70 years old, was found in Qalam magazine which was published in 1952, but the essence and the topics of discussion are still fresh and still relevant until today. The determination of the mindset to ensure that the Malays are on the right track again, as it was recommended in Islam is very evident in his writing. Therefore, this work aims to examine and analyze Za‘ba’s spiritual values found in his mind through his writings.

States’ boundaries have changed to a large extent over the course of time, in fact, the world has not always been the same as nowadays. In place of archaic forms of social organisation, the universal order has appeared where determinate and inviolable borders play a crucial role in ensuring the stability of states and resisting separatist movements. At the same time, secessionist movements throughout the world continually aim to gain independence from the ‘parent’ state invoking the right to self-determination. In this paper, the researcher will examine whether a part of the population of a state or a sub-unit of that state has a right to secede and create a new state and/or integrate into another. The article consists of a strong theoretical part dealing with statehood, self-determination and secession with a view of the dynamic development of these notions since the rapid birth of many new states as a result of decolonization. Thereafter, the validity of the gathered results will be verified by a comparative analysis of the cases of Kosovo, Crimea and Catalonia with regard to the historical background of these secessionist entities.

The article is focused on the study of the sensual and conceptual component of the conceptual binary opposition human being – technology in Ray Bradbury’s works. The relevance of the research is based on the constant interest of the scientists in the study of binary opposition. The duality of world perception results in writers’ (including Ray Bradbury ) using binary oppositions as a means of conveying their own attitude to the spiritual values on mankind and the very sense of the world. The research identifies the theoretical prerequisites for the duality of human perception; reveals the methodology of frame analysis of concepts as members of binary oppositions; investigates the characteristics of concepts human being and technology as oppositions in Ray Bradbury’s works. The study shows that binary oppositions in the fictional text are preconditioned by the very nature of fiction. Binary oppositions in the fictional text have sensual and conceptual content, thus, the analysis of binary oppositions in the works of a writer gives the opportunity to identify the peculiarities of the writer’s worldview and to understand it in a more profound way. Binary oppositions are realized in the form of opposition of concepts as basic units of the cognitive code of humans with a relatively ordered internal structure. The study of concepts is carried out through the construction of frames as a means of generalized visual concept scheme. It is based and modeled on the relevant sources, collected in a single system of research and illustrative resources, and their graphical representation. This gives the possibility to identify the components of each concept and to analyze the parameters which the author considers to oppose the concepts. It is revealed that the binary opposition human being – technology in Ray Bradbury’s works is represented as an opposition of the key slots of these concept. Thus, it can be considered as a direct opposition of such slots as: animate – inanimate on the basis of functioning; feeling – insensibility on the basis of emotional capability of the world perception; interest – staticity on the basis of the cognitive abilities, and creativity – predation on the basis of the principle aim of a human being and technology.

Love is something that everyone may have. Even love is the right of every human being in the world so that everyone has the right to love and be loved by others. Generally love is a form of emotion that contains attraction, sexual desire, and attention to someone. This shows that love has several components in it including intimacy, passion, and commitment. This research is focused on analyzing love experiences by using the triangular theory of love by Sternberg on some of the characters in the novel Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. This research used a descriptive qualitative method and used Sternberg's theory to analyze the experience of love in the breaking dawn novel. If one is born in the right part of the world and in right social class, the problem of being hungry has its solution in the nearest refrigerator. However, if the situation is reverse, one may go hungry throughout one’s short life, as 800million born in the wrong place and in wrong social class are doing as we discuss the concern. Peace cannot exist where the hunger prevails as the former signifies not merely the absence of armed conflict but the establishment of human rights for all people, and no human right is worth anything to a starving person. That is why the freedom from hunger is fundamental to live as human being and is a necessary part of right to life.

AbstrakSetiap manusia yang terlahir di dunia memiliki hak untuk berpikir dan mengutarakannya. Namun, kebebasan untuk mengutarakan suatu konsep keilmuan tertentu terkadang mengalami banyak kendala. Hal tersebut dikarenakan setiap kelompok masyarakat memiliki aturan dan kepercayaan yang berbeda. Hal tersebut membuat konsep hasil penemuan suatu ilmuan yang bertentangan dengan apa yang telah mereka yakini menjadi suatu boomerang baginya. Keyakinan Galileo terhadap teori heliosentris Copernicus membuatnya harus menghabiskan sisa hidupnya sebagai tahanan rumah. Kepercayaan terhadap konsep matahari sebagai pusat tata surya, yang tetap teguh terus dipertahankannya berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dan penelitiannya, membuahkan pengakuan oleh gereja setelah kematiannya.Kata kunci: Galileo, heliosentris, pusat tata surya AbstractEvery human being born in the world has the right to think and express it. However, the freedom to express a particular scientific concept sometimes experiences many obstacles. That is because every community group has different rules and beliefs. This makes the concept of the findings of a scientist contrary to what they believe to be a boomerang for him. Galileo's belief in the Copernicus heliocentric theory left him with the rest of his life under house arrest. His belief in the concept of the sun as the center of the solar system, which he continued to maintain on the basis of his observations and research, led to the recognition of the church after his death.Keywords: Galileo, heliocentric, the center of the solar system

The right to appeal exists as a response to the two main characteristics of every human being. The first refers to the attitude of not settling for adverse decisions, which leads people to seek instruments to remediate these decisions, while the second is the possibility that every human being has to make mistakes and the need to correct these mistakes in decision-making acts that may have been mistaken. Therefore, an appeal is an instrument that enables review of a decision by a higher authority to obtain its modification or revocation. In the patent system, appeals are used basically to reverse decisions of patent examiners during the examination procedure as, for example, the decision to reject a patent. Although all patent offices have procedures for appeal against first-instance decisions taken by these offices, there are significant differences as to how this procedure is conducted in each office. This chapter will study the laws and regulations, rules and procedures on appeals in two of the main patent offices in the world – the European Patent Office – EPO and the United States Patent and Trademark Office – USPTO, and in the Brazilian Patent Office – INPI, pointing out the main differences between them.

The subject of this research is the examination of evolution of the idea of self-determination of peoples based on the fundamental works of the Russian and foreign scholars, thinkers of the antiquity and modernity. The author considers the transformations experienced by the principle of self-determination at various historical stages of development; as well as builds a corresponding systems of the development cycles. The conclusion is made that after conception of the idea of self-determination, the colonial powers viewed this concept as ethical, seeing the threat to legitimacy of the established order. Therefore, throughout almost a century, the leading countries refused to include this right into the corresponding international and domestic documents. The main conclusions are as follows: after consolidation of the principle in the Charter of the United Nations, it became the foundation for the emergence of news states and destruction of the colonial world; the principle served as a leitmotif for the development of human rights and international relations, but at the same time became a threat and challenge to the territorial integrity; wars between the countries are replaced with the civil and interethnic conflicts; the world is captured with such phenomena as state nationalism that subsequently grew into extremely radical forms, such as fascism and Nazism; the modern international law actively promotes the two competing principles – territorial integrity and self-determination; in modern world, the right to self-determination is not limited by peoples under the colonial past – there occur new forms of self-determination that threaten the existence of sovereign states. Uncertainty of the status of the newly emerged states formations serves as the source of domestic and international tension, which inevitably leads to intergovernmental clashes and negatively impacts geopolitical situation in separate regions and in the world as a whole.

Os debates atuais a respeito da leitura estimulam e exigem uma reflexão mais profunda, com base em tudo que já se sabe sobre o processo de ler e compreender. Os programas de democratização da leitura, oficiais ou não, devem intensificar qualitativamente sua atuação, para fazer frente aos apelos imediatos de um mundo cada vez mais seduzido pela imagem, pela comunicação rápida, e, ao mesmo tempo, devem ampliar quantitativamente os esforços para incluir parcelas cada vez maiores da população. Nesse percurso, muitas vezes descontínuo e cheio de obstáculos, qualquer iniciativa em direção ao estímulo à leitura deve envolver diversos agentes e diferentes segmentos sociais: famílias, escolas, professores, bibliotecários, especialistas, pesquisadores, editores, autores, meios de comunicação, instituições governamentais e nãogovernamentais. Se queremos socializar o direito à leitura, não apenas como correspondência entre sons e letras, mas como forma real de conhecimento, interpretação e compreensão do mundo e do ser humano, é imprescindível uma articulação contínua, intensa e harmoniosa entre esses atores. Abstract The present debate concerning reading stimulates and demands a more profound reflection, with bases in all that is known about the process of reading and comprehending. The democratization programs of reading, being them official or not, must qualitatively intensify their performance in order to face the immediate appeal of a world even more seduced by image and by fast communication, and, at the same time, they must quantitatively extend the efforts to include more and more parcels of the population. In this sense, sometimes discontinuous and full of obstacles, any initiative towards stimulating reading must involve several agents and different social segments: families, schools, teachers, librarians, specialists, researchers, editors, authors, media, governmental and non-governmental institutions. If we want to socialize the right to learn how to read, not only as a correspondence between sounds and letters, but as real knowledge, interpreting and comprehending the world and the human being, it is of absolute importance a continuous, intense and harmonious articulation among these actors. Mempertahankan suatu usaha bukanlah hal yang mudah ditengah persaingan yang ketat dan adanya permasalahan yang timbul akibat sesuatu yang tidak terduga seperti bencana alam yang sedang dihadapi hampir seluruh bidang usaha di dunia yaitu permasalah yang timbul akibat pandemi covid-19 yang menimpulkan adanya peraturan pemerintah dalam pembatasan sosial dan juga adanya penurunan daya beli masyarakat yang juga mempengaruhi pendapatan suatu usaha. Untuk menghadapi itu sangat penting bagi seorang wirausaha untuk menetapkan strategi yang tepat untuk mempertahankan usahnya. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah BS Coffee Donuts yang mana cafe tersebut masih mampu bertahan dan menjalankan usaha ditengah pandemi covid-19 dan ketat persaingan terbukti dengan tidak pernah sepinya pengunjung yang melakukan pesanan dine-in maupun take away. Metode penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah orang yang pernah mengkonsumsi produk BS Coffee Donuts dan bersedia untuk mengisi kuisioner yang disebarkan oleh peneliti. Penentuan sample pada penelitian ini didasarkan pada dua kriteria yaitu orang yang pernah membeli produk BS Coffee Donuts yang berjumlah 41 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa variabel citra merek dan promosi merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen BS Coffee Donuts. Maintaining a business is not easy in the midst of intense competition and there are problems that arise due to something unexpected such as natural disasters that are being faced by almost all business fields in the world, namely problems that arise due to the covid-19 pandemic which has led to government regulations in social restrictions. and also a decrease in people's purchasing power which also affects the income of a business. To deal with it, it is very important for an entrepreneur to set the right strategy to maintain his business. The object in this research is BS Coffee Donuts, where the cafe is still able to survive and run a business in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic and tight competition as evidenced by the never empty visitors who order dine-in and take away. This research method is descriptive analysis. The population in this study were people who had consumed BS Coffee Donuts products and were willing to fill out the questionnaire distributed by the researcher. Determination of the sample in this study is based on two criteria, namely people who have bought BS Coffee Donuts products, amounting to 41 people. The results of this study indicate that brand image and promotion variables are factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions for BS Coffee Donuts.
