In Israel, like the rest of Western society, women are still largely responsible for childcare and housework. In homeschooling families, this division is even more prominent. This article explores homeschooling mothers’ perspective on role division. Using the auto-ethnographic-phenomenological approach to qualitative research of individual perceptions and experiences, I recruited a purpose-focused sample of 27 homeschooling mothers. Using interviews and personal logs (or diaries), I obtained data that underwent thematic analysis. The study findings indicate that mothers like being with their kids and that most of them would not want to change places with their partner, but the question arises as to whether there is a real possibility of choosing.

Children who are a vulnerable group in disasters need special attention to reduce the negative risk of their life. This qualitative research with a phenomenological approach was conducted on children who survived the Mount Kelud eruption. Referring to the research aim and after analyzing the data with Interpretative Phenomenology Analysis (IPA), 6 (six) themes were found, namely: feeling the need to pray a lot, feeling afraid if the kelud volcano erupts again, the more affection for parents, feeling afraid of death, feeling slopes Kelud is the land of birth, and feels uncomfortable in the refuge. From all the themes can be concluded that the children who survived the 2014 eruption of Mount Kelud still felt frightened by the condition of Mount Kelud that might erupt, making them more prayerful and happy to help their parents because they didn't want their parents to be difficult.

Spirituality as a human phenomenon presents itself as a significant aspect in the understanding and promotion of health, yet its study was neglected by psychological theories, with the exception of Jung's pioneering studies and the transpersonal approach. In this sense, we aim to present the vision of spirituality among psychologists from the city of Recife (in Brazil) who are guided by these theoretical lines, indicating how this phenomenon is experienced in their professional practices. We performed a phenomenological qualitative research that had as instrument the semi-structured interview with eight psychologists. The data were analyzed according to Bicudo's phenomenological approach and are in agreement with the scientific literature in this field, which indicates that there is no hegemonic definition of spirituality. There are visions of spiritualities, sometimes singular, sometimes common. Spirituality sometimes appears as synonymous with unconditional love, sometimes as access to the transcendent, without denying immanence. It also arises as internal energy and access to the Higher Self or just the Self. In the clinic it is considered as health promoter and approached from the demand in the Jungian perspective and seen as contextual in the transpersonal. We raised reflections on the importance of spirituality to the understanding of human being in its complexity.

Meaningful life occurs when an individual is able to give meaning to his life. To achieve a meaningful life, individuals go through a process of achieving a meaningful life that begins from the suffering stage, the stage of self-understanding, the discovery phase of the meaning of life, the meaning realization stage, and the stage of meaningful life. This study aimed to see a meaningful life of women who have experienced violence in the home. Domestic violence is any act against someone, especially women, which results in the emergence of physical, sexual, or psychological suffering, and /or negligence of households within the domestic sphere. This study used qualitative research with a phenomenological approach and the number of the respondents was three women experiencing domestic violence. The data used in this study were observation and interviews. The results of this study indicated that the process of achieving a meaningful life started from the stage of suffering, experiencing violence. The women who experienced violence were the ones found to have been divorced but reconciled with her husband, when women underwent violence they were not able to give meaning to their life in a positive way. When women were not able to give meaning to their life, they began praying and reading positive books that directed them to seek the meaning of life, namely children, religion, values, and expectations as the meaning of life which then directed them to change attitudes in the face of violence. Changing attitudes carried out by women are looking for help and choosing to separate from her husbands. After changing attitudes, women committed themselves to living a meaningful life that had been found to fulfill the meaning of life with work and developing skills. The women who had fulfilled the meaning of life were able to look at life more meaningful by generating belief, seeing violence as a trial and behind the trial is a lesson that can be learned and that it can ultimately bring happiness. Keywords: women, domestic violence, meaningful life

The purpose of this study was firstly to explore and describe the experiences of mothers who are looking after their teenage daughters’ young children. Secondly, to formulate guidelines (based on the results obtained) for psychiatric nurses in assisting these mothers to mobilise resources in order to promote, maintain and restore their mental health as an integral part of health. An exploratory, descriptive, contextual and qualitative design was used and Guba’s model for ensuring trustworthiness in qualitative research was applied. The phenomenological approach was used to collect and analyse data from a sample of seven respondents who were purposively selected. Three independent themes emerged from the analysis of results: Meaning of the parenting role, life-style changes and support systems. The results further show that for these mothers the problem of teenage pregnancy and parenthood ends up being their problem. Their experiences in looking after these babies, although sometimes fulfilling and meaningful, are most of the time stressful. This has implications on their mental health. Guidelines are recommended in order to facilitate these mothers to mobilise their resources for mental health.
