Spirituality as a human phenomenon presents itself as a significant aspect in the understanding and promotion of health, yet its study was neglected by psychological theories, with the exception of Jung's pioneering studies and the transpersonal approach. In this sense, we aim to present the vision of spirituality among psychologists from the city of Recife (in Brazil) who are guided by these theoretical lines, indicating how this phenomenon is experienced in their professional practices. We performed a phenomenological qualitative research that had as instrument the semi-structured interview with eight psychologists. The data were analyzed according to Bicudo's phenomenological approach and are in agreement with the scientific literature in this field, which indicates that there is no hegemonic definition of spirituality. There are visions of spiritualities, sometimes singular, sometimes common. Spirituality sometimes appears as synonymous with unconditional love, sometimes as access to the transcendent, without denying immanence. It also arises as internal energy and access to the Higher Self or just the Self. In the clinic it is considered as health promoter and approached from the demand in the Jungian perspective and seen as contextual in the transpersonal. We raised reflections on the importance of spirituality to the understanding of human being in its complexity.

In the era of the competition of cities for their inhabitants and attracting investment for their development, an interesting, recognizable (strong) brand has a significant impact on its competitiveness. At the same time, the analysis of modern scientific literature indicates the absence of a unified approach to the definition of a brand; a particular difficulty is the insufficient definition of the concepts of a territory brand and a city brand. This article is devoted to the study of the development problems and the formation of the brand of Irkutsk. The aim of the work is the analysis of various sociological studies conducted in recent years, in which the opinion of the inhabitants of the city of Irkutsk on its image is studied. The results will serve as one of the elements in the development of the city’s brand. The authors analyze the sociological studies which used various research methods: a semi-structured interview, a questionnaire, a content analysis of electronic media. They observe the individual components of the city’s image and highlight their influence on the formation of the city’s brand. The authors identify the key city symbols and interpret their specific character according to the Irkutsk residents. They come to the conclusion that the inhabitants of Irkutsk consider it necessary to form the concept of the city, which should become the basis for creating a brand of the city and of the territory as a whole.

In 1857 the first Obscene Publications Act was passed in Britain. In the months leading up to the passing of this legislation, a debate emerged which focused on the spaces of the modern metropolis, the production of modern forms of visual culture, and the possibility of transgressive forms of cultural consumption. One street in London became the symbol for this definition of obscenity—Holywell Street in Westminster, which ran parallel to the Strand from St Clement Danes to St Mary-le-Strand. The narrow contours and crumbling buildings of this Elizabethan alley signified physical, moral, and cultural impurity, in contrast to the modernising ambitions of the city in this period. The display of obscene images in the shop windows enabled a new form of cultural consumption based on looking while moving through the street. As such, it represented a dangerous promiscuity which could address women and men of all classes as they moved through the spaces of the metropolis.

Summary A phenomenological approach to anthropology should not propose a static definition of man, but inquire into specific human motivations, which never occur isolated. Therefore, the autonomy-dependency connection is presented as a possible human motivational ground. The notion of autonomy, presented with reference to the Kantian idea of the self-determining reason and to the Husserlian account of self-constitution, reveals in itself elements of dependency. On the other side, the notion of vulnerability and reliance is displayed through different approaches of Gehlen, MacIntyre and Toombs in order to illustrate dependency not as a mere capitulation of the subject, but as one of its intrinsic possibilities, which does not exclude autonomous will.

Abstract. The purpose of this article is to highlight how the so-called sports cities have managed to become an intelligent specialization that goes beyond the disposition of the city to carry out large sports events and mega-events. Being a sports city implies the union of different sports stakeholders through various strategies and public policies aimed at strengthening the mainstreaming of sport as a tool that promotes the well-being of citizens. For the purposes of this purpose, a qualitative research based on grounded theory has been developed, an inductive process where the data and its deepening are the ones that guide the development of the theoretical perspective. The results allowed the definition of a sports city and the approach towards an integrating model which is composed of: pillars, system, actors, impact and as the central axis the deporsystem where five biotic / abiotic, material or conceptual components interact and interrelate. they serve a purpose and as in Gestalt “the whole is more than the sum of the parts”. Through this city model, it is intended to generate a projective instrument, facilitating the assurance of strategies that will guide sport stakeholders, in the design of their own model adapted to their context, needs and desires of the population, in addition to the forward-looking governance planning. Ratifying the importance of sport in the future planning of the contemporary city.
