The paper features the phenomenon of business presentation as an indispensable tool that can allow foreign trade companies to enter the foreign market. Each stage of this technological process requires a business presentation for every format of interaction with a potential foreign partner. A well-made presentation of a company, product, service, or project facilitates the search and retention of a prospective partner. It is a go-to tool used on various interaction platforms, e.g. fairs, exhibitions, business missions, conferences, business meetings, negotiations, etc. The paper defines the basic types of business presentations: company presentation, product/service, business project presentation, and commercial offer presentation. The article presents the key aspects of preparing for an effective business presentation aimed at foreign companies. When preparing a presentation for a business event, one has to plan in advance how the main elements will constitute the presentation as a whole. The "presentation field" consists of the space (external and internal environment) and the "main actors" involved in the presentation of goods or services. The prospect of further cooperation with foreign companies depends on how the Russian company analyses the ability to attract potential partners, prepares for the event, and selects the format of presentation.

AbstractThis paper discusses the firm-level determinants of international hotels’ foreign markets entry choices, contrasting acquisition with management and franchise contracts, based on a resource-dependency perspective and appropriability theory. It points out that brand equity, relatedness of products and market segmentation, partner-specific knowledge of hotels, international experience, and the duration of proprietary knowledge impact hotels’ decisions on how to enter a foreign market. In addition, the paper suggests the existence of entry choices sequence favorable to acquisition probability after the end of management contract when the franchisors’ or management companies’ proprietary knowledge attenuates. Contract activity is likely to be renewed after the acquisition, once the management company has established a new form or a higher level of proprietary knowledge.

In this paper,a high temperature heat-pump dryer and a corresponding semi-enclosed test drying room for using the dryer are built up respectively. While the average dry bulb of the external environment is 25°C and the relative humidity is 55%, the performance of the dryer is obtained when the dryer is running continuously for five hours. The results show that: the electromagnetic valve-capillary institution has an obvious effect on the lower the dryer exhaust temperature. It makes the suction temperature of compressor dropped 10 °C~15 °C, which can reduce the exhaust temperature and prevent compressor’s overheating. When the exhaust temperature keep at 100~110 °C, it can not only guarantee the temperature of wind coming from the dryer is high, but also can make sure the drying system’s long-term stable operation.

Abstract Competitive advantage is a relative feature, evaluated in respect of other competing enterprises. The gaining of sustainable competitive advantage is conditioned by knowledge of own performance and the results of the competitive environment. SMEs have limited opportunities to obtain such information on their own. The method of mutual benchmarking changes this situation by introducing the collaborative network. The aim of the cooperation is to support each of the group members to achieve sustainable competitive advantage, which is the result of a conscious strategy, and not only a matter of chance. This cooperation is based on the collecting and processing of data and sharing information through a common IT platform: for example, a group of Polish SMEs was shown how to implement such a common IT solution and how to provide the information preparing within the proposed service. The whole is a complete proposal for effective support of creating a competitive strategy in SMEs.

Industrial enterprises and other business entities whose activities involve direct or indirect impact on environmental components must comply with legal requirements in the field of environmental protection. Over the past 5 years, there have been significant changes in environmental legislation. All objects that have a negative impact on the environment are subject to state registration. When registering an enterprise, it is subject to assignment to one of four categories of objects of negative impact, depending on the industry affiliation, production capacity, chemical composition of emissions, discharges, and other criteria. Currently, legislative innovations are aimed at business development and reducing the administrative burden on business entities, but this creates a threat to the safe operation of industrial facilities. There are more than 340 thousand objects of negative impact on the territory of Russia, of which one third is subject to Federal supervision. According to 2019 data, less than 4% of enterprises had their operational safety audits performed. The detection of violations of the requirements of legislation in the field of environmental protection, as well as failure to eliminate the identified violations, indicates the formation of potential threats to environmental safety. Taking into account the current economic crisis, in which solving environmental problems will not be a priority for business structures, the protection of the population and the natural environment is fully transferred to the state level.

Despite the urgent need to accelerate the development of intensive forest management and reforestation technologies in Russia, the problem of creating progressive technologies and techniques to increase the efficiency of reforestation by seedlings and saplings of forest crops has not been completely resolved, which are serious challenges for accelerated and high-quality reforestation. Of particular concern is the lack of patented equipment competitive in the domestic and foreign markets for reforestation by seedlings and saplings of forest crops that can accelerate the creation of highly productive forests. To answer these challenges, it is proposed as a tool for the synthesis of patentable solutions that increase the efficiency of forest regeneration by seedlings and saplings of forest crops, to use the knowledge base formed on the basis of patent information search and the author’s methodology of functional, structural and technological analysis. A classification of the main areas of patenting in this area is proposed. The most characteristic patented objects of technologies and equipment that can be used as analogues and prototypes for the synthesis and patenting of new intellectual property for planting seedlings/saplings, as well as business entities patenting in this area, are identified. The effects (goals) for the achievement of which the technical solutions incorporated in the patents are directed are revealed. Using the generated knowledge base and the FSTA methodology, a synthesis of new patentable technical solutions has been carried out. Its features and some results are given on the example of several basic objects of machines and manual devices for planting seedlings/saplings. It is proved that the application of the proposed methodology to the selected object for improving the processes of planting seedlings/saplings is effective, which is confirmed by the development and patenting of fundamentally new technical solutions for equipping forest regeneration with seedlings and saplings of forest crops.
