The text is devoted to the prerequisites for undertaking cooperation by competitive industrial and construction enterprises in the perspective of formation and development of cluster structures. The research problem was formulated in the form of four key questions concerning both present and future cooperation between competing companies. Quantitative research, conducted in late 2014 and early 2015 covered 381 enterprises, including 305 industrial and 76 construction companies. The conducted analysis showed a large deficit in terms of both the existing cooperation and readiness to strengthen it in the near future. Under such conditions, it is therefore difficult to talk about the real possibilities of creation and development of effective cluster structures.

It is believed that there will be a long impact for the country even the world. In order to recover the industry, Chinese government has published series of policies to support the enterprises and clusters to reduce the bad influence of COVID-19. This paper mainly uses filed survey and documentary research to map the real situation of the industry. It tries to find the policy demand of the industries and then analyze the policies published by government to conquer COVID-19. Meanwhile it will focus on whether the supply meet the demand and give suggestions on how to promote the policy efficiency in the post period of COVID-19 in China. The aim of this paper is to analize the role and importance of financial and non-financial instruments of supporting the sector of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Republic of Srpska (RS). For that purpose, in late 2013 and early 2014, there was conducted a quantitative research on a sample of 110 respondents on the whole territory of RS, with the aim of finding the answers to the following question: What is the reason that a large number of SMEs in RS fail to provide adequate financial and non-financial support to their business activity and what measures should be taken in order to improve the current situation? In order to specify the research problem, we ask ourselves if the existing instruments of financial and non-financial support to the sector of SMEs in the RS are sufficiently developed and accessible, as to contribute to the successful growth and development of the said enterprises? We found that the above mentioned instruments of support to the SME sector in RS are not sufficiently developed. Respondents were acquainted with the sole instruments and models of financial and non-financial support that exist in RS. According to the results of the empirical research, we conclude that creating and mastering the models and instruments of financial and non-financial support to SME sector in the RS and providing the adequate business climate for their successful functioning, will increase the availability of favourable financial means for SMEs, as well as the possibility of using the positive aspects of clusters, guarantee funds, factorings and other forms of entrepreneurship infrastructure.

In recent years in building construction site construction workers due to the complexity, the project construction period, the working environment is poor, the construction process hazard and more security-conscious workers partial bottom. When accidents occur, such as by falling, falling objects wounding, electric shock, earthmoving collapse, overturning and other machinery, causing casualties, to construction companies and property losses caused by the economy to varying degrees. Throughout its reasons, one is security responsibilities are not clear, safety supervision and management system is not perfect, the other is the weakening of the internal management of construction enterprises, especially flawed construction site management, lack of effective security measures, the responsibility is not implemented, management personnel and operations personnel have not performed the necessary education and training, lack of knowledge of security technologies, illegal command, illegal operation.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the impacts of procurement strategies on the growing proportion of construction small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and whether the size of the construction company moderates the effect. Design/methodology/approach This study adopted a quantitative research approach and a cross-sectional questionnaire survey in achieving its objectives. The survey requires the respondent to identify both the most successful and most outstanding project that the respondent was involved in between 2010 and 2016. Findings The study found that only traditional and management-oriented procurement strategies ensure the achievement of all growth plans for construction SMEs in South Africa; and that medium-sized construction enterprises achieve social growth such as community empowerment, managerial skills and advancement on the cidb Register of Contractors. Practical implications The findings of the study imply that policymakers should base their decisions regarding macroeconomic issues and growth plans for construction SMEs on the internal and external factors such as differences in the sizes of construction SMEs and differences in the suitability of procurement strategies affecting the growth of construction SMEs. Originality/value In past studies, the diversity amongst SMEs is often overlooked and SMEs are erroneously assumed to share similar objectives, possess equal capabilities and face challenges of the same magnitude. The original contribution of this study is shown in the investigation of the moderating effect of SMEs’ diversity (in terms of company size) on their growth proportion as influenced by procurement strategies.

In order to enable the wine industry to anticipate in field work and marketing strategies, it is necessary to provide early assessments of vine productivity. The proposed method is designed for the detection and the measurement of grape bunches between the flowering season and the early fruition stages, before ‘groat-size’. The method consists of determining the affiliation of a pixel to a grape cluster based on colorimetric and texture features, using an SVM supervised classifier. The eventual affiliation of the pixels is achieved with an average reliability above 75%, which lets us envision in the near future the possibility of estimating the real number of grape bunches.

A variety of insurance options are used when managing risk in the construction industry. Numerous insurers operating on the Polish market provide suitable types of insurance, thus allowing participants of a construction process to obtain a comprehensive cover against almost all potential risks. Therefore, ‘all-risks’ types of insurance is of particular importance in case of construction and assembly activities. In addition to this instrument, the paper also deals with other forms of insurance used in the construction sector in Poland, which apply to various aspects of activities conducted by actors involved a construction project. This is the main topic of the paper, which also outlines the theory on the subject as well as providing the results of empirical research carried out in this area and emphasizing the practical applicability of the discussions. Consequently, the key aim of the paper is to present the issues related to insurance in the construction industry as a method of financing risk in operations of construction companies. The paper adopts a synthetic approach to these issues. The paper also reviews the related scholarly literature.

The article describes the types of energy efficient technologies focused on energy saving. The presented technologies have significantly improved performance, while the disadvantage is high cost, which is the main factor preventing the introduction of energy saving technologies in construction. In this regard, solve the problem of optimizing the choice of the possible heat saving technologies of construction enterprises based on their financial and production capabilities based on graph theory. As a result, identify the technology yielding the greatest effect at minimum cost. The decision process is formalized as a graphical structure. In this case, the problem of finding the optimal solutions solved in graph theory. Graphical modeling of the structure of relations allows to visualize and organize variants of the consistent use of energy-saving technologies construction companies. On the basis of the construction of adjacency matrices organization of construction production is planned based on the use of energy-saving technologies determines the best combination of the ability of the construction company and the effectiveness to the execution of the technology.

Although most students of contemporary German history, especially of the National Socialist period, are aware of the United States Document Center at Berlin (BDC) and its general holdings, that archive is not being exploited to its potential. This is primarily because the Document Center was created and organized for the political purpose of compiling information on the activities of individual Nazis. For this reason, the holdings lend themselves most readily to the study of individual involvement and to quantitative research on the personnel of various groups and agencies of the Third Reich. Unfortunately, this same organizational arrangement makes it extremely difficult and time-consuming to pursue a non-biographical or non-quantitative research problem. Nevertheless, the collections contain information to be found nowhere else—information on institutional, political, social, and economic problems which go well beyond the scope of an individual's involvement or beyond the sociological data which might be compiled from the personnel files. Unfortunately, there are no adequate finding aids for the Document Center, and a general vagueness of knowledge about the full extent of its holdings seems to plague even veteran users and the document center personnel themselves.

THIS STUDY HAS BEEN WRITTEN DURING THE STAGE OF BROAD political transition inside the Spanish State, following the death of General Franco, in November 1975. The new monarch, Juan Carlos I, has already carried out some acts that will define Spanish politics in the near future, by confirming the men who governed during Franco's last years: but what attitude the political system will take under the monarchy is still unforeseeable; and, although everyone is waiting for a certain liberalization of the regime, the real scope that liberalization will have in the short and medium term remains problematical.
