Under the current circumstances of foreign academic degree students in University of Science and Technology Liaoning (the foreign academic degree students come from different countries and have different foundations, different languages and different learning habits), based on the PBL theory, this work has proposed the teaching-method reformation of foreign degree students, which is combining the group study and assignment-oriented study together to reinforce students' learning process, and to improve the teaching effect. There are five steps in teaching-method reformation: questions prepared by instructors, references researching, group communication and study, in- class discussion and teacher's evaluation and summary. It is conducive to the rational allocation of the proportion of “teaching” and “learning”, promoting students' active learning. The methodology would help improve the quality of the teachers and evoke self-esteem and self-confidence of the students, stimulate their enterprising spirit.

Purpose of the study.  The aim of the work is to consider the possibility of improving the quality and accessibility of teaching and educational resources through the development and use of electronic educational resources (hereinafter referred to as EER) using the example of the module “System Design”. The article presents a solution to the problem that is of significant importance in the field of information technology implementation in education. The relevance of the research problem is determined by the fact that through the use of interactive tools in the learning process, users, as a rule, a student and an educator, can actively interact with these information tools. Interactivity implies the existence of conditions for educational dialogue, one of the participants of which is a means of informatization of education.Materials and methods.  To solve these tasks, the general scientific system approach was used as the main one, the basis of which is to consider educational facilities as systems functioning in a certain environment, as well as methods of analysis and comparison. The study was conducted in accordance with the pedagogical conditions of student learning and the methodological requirements for the educational product. We reviewed methodological recommendations on the use of e-learning in the educational process of the university, the main regulatory documents of distance education technologies in the implementation of additional professional programs, the Moodle distance learning system, guidelines for practical exercises, as well as reference materials on the Moodle system.Results.  The study revealed the problem of the use of electronic educational resources, their positive and somewhat negative impact on the goals and results of the educational process, as well as existing technologies for their creation. Based on the analysis of a variety of development technologies for various characteristics, a decision was made to use the LMS Moodle environment. The structure of the module “System Design” was developed, and this module was implemented in the LMS Moodle environment and tested in the educational process, it was revealed that the level of knowledge and skills mastering, as well as their possession is higher among students who studied on the electronic educational resource.Conclusion.  Thus, the results of the study allow us to recommend the introduction of electronic educational resources in the learning process. Since the use of the presented development will not interrupt the learning process in cases where the student can not attend classes, and also contributes to improving the formation of students’ competence level.

With the emergence of the web, traditional learning has changed significantly. Hence, a huge number of ‘e-learning systems' with the advantages of time and space have been created. Currently, many e-learning systems are being used by a large number of academic institutions worldwide which allow different users of the system to perform various tasks based on their goals. However, most of these systems follow a ‘one size fits all' approach where same resources are offered to learners irrespective of their unique learning requirements. Therefore, personalization is required as a part of e-learning systems which offers resources to learners based on their profile. This research aims to perform cluster analyses in order to validate clusters created through a k-means algorithm. The clusters will be used to classify a new learner into its appropriate class and recommend relevant courses. Finally, the accuracy of the recommendation is evaluated using various evaluation metrics. The proposed recommendation system helps learners to improve their academic performance and hence overall learning process as well.

In this article, the process of linguistic faculty students teaching using innovative digital technologies is investigated in the focus of a synergetic approach. This problem is very relevant today, since the issue of preserving the quality of knowledge when implementing intensive electronic methods of mastering communication skills in a foreign language does not lose its actuality. Synergetics as the science of complex systems is now recognized as a new scientific paradigm in the study of various objects and processes. The authors focus on the features of the synergetic approach to the education process. From the point of view of synergetics, the authors consider the process of teaching foreign languages as a holistic dynamic system capable of self-organization and self-development. E-learning courses, which have become particularly popular in modern conditions, are considered as an integral part of the educational system. We are talking about self-organization of both the educational process and its structure, which is a means of optimizing students’ learning, and activating students in order to ensure a high-quality learning process. The role of the teacher and psychological and pedagogical support of students in the learning process is emphasized. The authors note that the synergetic interpretation of the psychological and pedagogical approach to teaching students the basics of language based on digital technologies contributes to the personal growth of students and the development of a holistic dynamic system.

Research Question (RQ): What challenges did students recognize in the sudden transition to e-learning due to the outbreak of COVID-19? Which suggestions facilitated in the improvement of implementing e-learning and to what extent did the students think that following their recommendations contributed to better e-learning? Purpose: With the research, we wanted to determine what challenges students at higher vocational schools perceived during the e-learning process. Due to the sudden appearance of COVID-19, the educational approach swiftly changed, and both teachers and students were faced with many challenges. Method: Content analysis was used on domestic and international research studies. The literature was reviewed and analyzed using keywords. For the empirical research, we collected data by surveying students from the southeastern part of Slovenia in seven different short cycle higher education programs. The questionnaire was designed based on self-evaluation reports and previously analyzed professional literature dealing with this area. Results: Results are depicted based on the challenges that students faced in the sudden onset of e-learning due to the pandemic. By following recommendations provided by students, teachers were able to improve their e-learning approach, in which everyone was involved, and thus facilitated the learning process. Organization: The results of the research enable schools to implement the identified challenges that students perceived during the educational process to improve e-learning. The research findings portray a possible answer on what needs to be improved in e-learning and how to adapt approaches in a way that is tailored to the student. Society: Recognizing students’ e-learning challenges is the foundation for improving the entire e-learning process, which contributes to better achievement of educational goals and greater contribution of knowledge to society. Originality: Several studies on e-learning have already been conducted, but we have not found any that address the challenges posed by short cycle higher education students in the face of the immediate and unexpected introduction of e-learning due to the global health situation. Limitations/Future Research: We have limited ourselves to research that has already been conducted in this area. The resulting questionnaire was created as a pilot survey on a larger sample to determine reliability and to obtain a starting point for implementing improvements in practice and the possibility of further testing on an even larger number of students. The research also offers a starting point for the preparation of a questionnaire intended for higher education teachers who already have conducted e-learning.

The authors of the article emphasize that modern realities require the development of skills of confident and worthy behavior in all situations, etc. It is noted that skills must be developed in learning process using various methods and techniques in the classroom and off-hour work using various psychological trainings to create a psychologically safe and comfortable educational environment. The study of the impact of applying personal-oriented teaching methods in English language learning process on the formation of self-confidence, improving academic performance and increasing interest in a foreign language is described in the article. The purpose, hypothesis, tasks, methodological and theoretical basis of the research, methods and experimental base of the research are defined in the article; the results of the research of the summative, formative and control stages are analyzed. The method of Yakubovskaya P. was chosen as a diagnostic method at the summative and control stages of the study. P. Yakubovskaya's assessment test is aimed at the ability to distinguish between confident, insecure and aggressive behavior of an individual. The summative stage of the study showed that the majority of students do not see the line between confident and insecure behavior of the individual in situations that were taken as examples. It is mentioned that some guys couldn't tell the difference between confident and aggressive behavior. At the formative stage of the study, students in the control group studied using the classical method. For students of the experimental group, English lessons were developed and tested using specially designed tasks of a personality-oriented nature. During the control stage of the study, students who were part of the experimental group showed a significant increase in correct answers while doing the test. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the use of personality-oriented approach in the educational process positively affects the formation of self-confidence, improving academic performance and increasing interest in a foreign language in general, as well as contributing to the formation of a strong and self-confident personality.
