The purpose of this study was to investigate effectiveness of the different pattern of the digital story in the development linguistic intelligence skills and Mindfulness in Jordanian primary students during the Corona pandemic. Quasi experimental factorial design was adopted in this research. The researcher designed two patterns of the digital story in the Arabic language course. The study sample consisted of 43 students and were randomly (simple random sample) selected. The study sample was divided into two groups. The first group consisted of 23 students who studied through a written digital story, as for the second group, it consisted of 20 students who studied through the digital audiovisual story. The dependent variables were the linguistic intelligence skills and Mindfulness. The researcher used two scales. The first is to measure linguistic intelligence skills, and the second is to measure mindfulness. Data were collected and appropriate statistical analysis performed. ANCOVA was used to determine the significant differences among the two groups. Analyses of covariance (ANCOVA) were performed to examine the main effects of the independent variables on the dependent variables. The findings of this study showed that students using the digital audiovisual story mode performed significantly better than those students using the written digital story in the linguistic intelligence skills, and mindfulness.

The aim of this study is to compare the learning outcomes of student in SMA Negeri 8 Palu using the cooperative learning model between jigsaw and NHT (numbered head together) on the stoichiometry. This research using a quasi-experimental design with factorial 2 x 2. The population of this study is all student of class X SMA 8 Palu with academic year 2015/2016 which consists of four classes. The sample of this study consists of two classes, namely class XB with amount of 16 students (experimental class) and class XC with amount of 17 students (control class) which was determined by purposive sampling. Data was collected by using test instruments, namely an achievement test that contains the stoichiometry material. The examination of data was conducted by using statistical analysis t-test two sides and one side (right side) non-parametric or Mann-Whitney U test. The average score of the learning outcomes of student by using the jigsaw type was (78.00; SD = 13.63), and by using NHT type was (70.47; SD = 16.51). Based on statistical analysis of the hypothesis test for two sides, it was obtained a value of 0.195 Asymp sig (2-tailed) and was obtained a value 0.204 Exact Sig (1-tailed) of 0.204, both of datas were at the rejection area of H0 which was a significance value greater than 0.05 (P> 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that there was a difference in learning outcomes using the cooperative model jigsaw type with NHT type, furthermore the type of jigsaw better than the NHT on the learning outcomes of students of stoichiometry in class X SMA Negeri 8 Palu.

This study aims to find out: whether an increase in understanding of mathematical concepts students who learn using contextual approaches is better than students who get conventional learning. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The population of this study was seventh grade students of junior high school. Sample selection is done by cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used is concept understanding tests. The instrument was stated to have fulfilled the requirements for content validity, and the reliability coefficient was 0.77. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and parametric statistical analysis. Statistical analysis was carried out by analysis of covariance (ANACOVA). The findings of this study are that there is an increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who use contextual learning better than students who use conventional learning. From the results of the study it is suggested: (1) Learning with a contextual approach is one alternative for mathematics teachers in presenting mathematics subject matter (2) to other researchers who can continue their research on other subjects and mathematical abilities using a contextual approach

Abstract Individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) show an enhanced response to stressors, and gender plays an important role in stress response. Thus, autistic traits (ATs) in the general population and gender may regulate the emotion changes before and during the outbreak of COVID-19. The present study addressed this issue through a participants between quasi-experimental design, in which the epidemic status (before, during), gender (male, female), and AT groups (high ATs, low ATs) were independent variables, and positive and negative emotions were dependent variables. We used generalized linear models to estimate the effects of the independent variables and their interactions on emotions. The results showed that the COVID-19 outbreak reduced positive emotions and increased fear and anger. Furthermore, compared with before the COVID-19 outbreak, individuals with high ATs and females experienced stronger anger and fear than individuals with low ATs and males during the epidemic. The present study revealed the emotional impacts of COVID-19 and greater emotional susceptibility to COVID-19 pandemic among individuals with high ATs and females. Our findings provide prospective evidence for understanding the ASD/ATs-related enhanced response to pathogen threat-related stressors and have implications for COVID-19 crisis interventions.

100 subjects provided ratings of the “degree to which they would show” 41 bodily reactions (such as “tears,” “tense muscles,” and “a feeling of coldness”) in association with one of 20 emotions. Means of 5 subjects' ratings of each emotion were the dependent variables in 41 2 × 2 analyses of variance, with scaled Pleasantness (high or low) and scaled Arousal (high or low) as the independent variables. Significant main effects were associated with 24 reactions for Pleasantness and 6 reactions for Arousal. For 5 reactions, the Pleasantness × Arousal interaction was significant. A systematic (though not necessarily exclusive) relationship between affective dimensions and reported bodily reactions is inferred.

Studies that analyze the actions carried out by paddle tennis players during the point are scarce. The present investigation characterizes every action in which a stroke by a pair in a defensive position sends the ball over the position of a pair in an offensive position. It is a descriptive and observational study of quantitative methodology. The sample consisted of 1324 actions, statistical analysis units, from the women’s circuit in the 2018 World Padel Tour (WPT) season. For this study, various situational, dependent, and independent variables were analyzed. The results showed the number of times the categories of each variable occurred, as well as the significant relationships between the independent variable kind of hit and the dependent variables “actions that facilitate the possible change of position” (AFPCP) and “incidences in the game” (IG). The conclusion is that the lob is the most effective kind of hit (CSR = 4.9) to achieve the offensive position (CSR = 11.4), even if the point does not finish (CSR = 5.8), leading to more position exchanges during the same point in the AFPCP. These findings are of great interest since they give information about how and why certain behaviors produce a certain result.

The paper presents the scopes of examination of the cancellous bone, 3D CAD design of scaffolds of the cancellous bone and their creation with a laser beam in SLM incremental technology. The geometrical size of the scaffold and the material feature corresponding to the Young's modulus are the parameters describing the porous structure of the cancellous bone. In the statistical analysis, these values are defined as independent variables. The physical properties of the scaffold are defined by the strength parameters determined by hardness (e.g. HIT, HM, HV and are dependent variables). The REGMULT multiple regression program was used to develop the research results. However, to optimize the porous structure of the scaffold, the single-criteria optimization program SYEQL3 was used.

The present study investigated how levels of rule-orientation behavior and sex relate to creative functioning. Thirty male and 30 female undergraduates were given the Arrow-Dot task in order to derive high and low levels of three rule-orientations: rule-governed, rule-violation, and rule-overconformity. Ss were also administered the Circles task in order to obtain indexes of originality and elaboration. Six 2 × 2 factorial analyses of variance, with originality and elaboration as dependent variables, sex and level of rule-orientation behavior as independent variables provided tests of three hypotheses: (1) females high in rule-governed behavior will be more creative than males high in rule-governed behavior, (2) females high in rule-violation behavior will manifest less creative ability than males high in rule-violation behavior, and (3) females showing high rule-overconformity behavior will be more creative than males high in rule-oversubscription. Statistically, the first hypothesis was partially confirmed as reflected in the main effects for rule-governed levels. Other hypotheses were not supported.

The High School Personality Questionnaire was administered to over 300 sixth and seventh grade children and 3 mo. later these same children completed standardized achievement tests in social studies, science, mathematics, and reading. Treating the achievement scores as dependent variables and various personality scales as independent variables, analyses of variance were performed for each achievement area. Results indicated several significant main effects and interactions but perhaps most important was the finding that extreme scores on either end of the extraversion or anxiety dimensions were related to high achievement. Possible implications for teachers, counselors, or researchers are discussed.
