This case describes the development of an information system at the Missouri-based General Chemicals Inc., which is one of the largest pharmaceuticals in the world. The system efficiently utilizes company’s research resources by archiving, organizing them in a searchable manner, and allowing researchers to reuse and modify them as needed. This resulted in saving a considerable amount of money and time.

In the world of information technology has changed the lifestyle in the aspect of our lives especially in the educational world. E-Raport is an academic information system used to input web-based student value data. The current value data input system is a benchmark for the creation of quality output and able to compete with other schools. One of the benchmarks that can be the competitiveness for other schools is the result of student learning assessments that are handled by each class. Problems that occur in the input of the value of Raport at SDN Sukanagara is currently still a manual that is the value of Raport recorded in the book Raport, so it takes a long time and a lot of energy needed. Research has the purpose of designing a value information system that facilitates the checking, recording and reporting of the computerized value of the students. Computerized Raport value reports can minimize errors in student data processing. This WEB based online raport is very easy data information and can be accessed anytime and anywhere, the system design works to insert and save value Report data and attendance and display info from school. The system uses data collection methods such as interviews, library studies, and system design, which are context diagrams, and prototypes. The information system of online Raport SDN Sukanagara is expected to be able to bring positive impact to the educational world, especially for SDN Sukanagara in the development of information technology applied in the world of education.

Abstract - The development of the world in this millennium is very rapid, especially in the field of information technology. The level of speed and accuracy of information is a very big thing because it must be supported by technology adequate information. Similarly, the laundry business services, Pelangi Laundry is a business that runs a business in the field of laundry services. Based on the survey that has been conducted to date Rainbow Laundry does not have its own information system and still uses a manual system, this laundry also does not have an accurate database storage system so that all data is still stored in a book. Customers also do not get up-to-date information about the various laundry services offered and there are also customers who feel inconvenience when delivering even taking laundry that has been completed because they do not have much time to go to the laundry for reasons of being busy. To overcome these problems, an application will be designed that can help the Rainbow Laundry business so that this application can provide up-to-date information from Pelangi Laundry about laundry services offered to customers, provide fast and reliable laundry pick-up service to customers, facilitate the process of making income reports quickly, precisely and accurately, provide professional services to customers and minimize errors that may occur.Keywords - Application, Service, Laundry 


There is a huge development in the Information Technology or IT sector recently. Also, there is a massive use of Geographic Information System or in short, we say as GIS nowadays. Tourism Industry is getting more and more advantage specially from GIS. GIS and Tourism Industry are bonding together in a smooth and progressive manner. In order to connect GIS and Tourism, that means in order to establish a bonding between them network is required or we can say connectivity is required. Network allows nodes to share resources in digital telecommunications. So, GIS and Tourism are interconnected with network. Network form infrastructure of modern society. When tourists visit a new place, they might not know about the place in a detailed manner or it might be just a new place for them. Even services like Google which uses the Navigation system and uses the GIS system might not have all details of a place of very low tourist interests. But here we propose Intelligent Tourist Guide System using Web Development which will help tourists travelling to different parts of the world and also local people can advertise their place in order to make it a Tourist Spot and make their area famous.

<p>ABSTRACT Indonesia is the third largest bamboo exporting country in the world which indicates that Indonesian bamboo products have the potential to be one of the export commodities. The technique of marketing bamboo handicraft products for the export market can use conventional methods such as participating in exhibitions abroad or entrusting products to relations that have overseas markets. The second, easier and cheaper way for small and medium-sized UKM is to use information technology and internet.In this study the design and development of e-commerce websites for handicraft products for the export market was carried out. This study aims to obtain minimum design specifications until the website can be used to market products online.The results of the design show that the website consists of two services in outline. The first is a page for consumers who shop, and the second is a page for admin to manage the website.The results of the design also show that the system can be built with only six tables in the database. ABSTRAK<br />Indonesia adalah negara pengekspor bambu terbesar ketiga di dunia yang mengindikasikan bahwa produk bambu Indonesia potensial untuk dijadikan salah satu komoditas ekspor. Teknik memasarkan produk kerajinan bambu untuk pasar ekspor dapat menggunakan metode konvensional seperti mengikuti pameran di luar negeri atau menitipkan produk pada relasi yang memiliki pasar di luar negeri. Cara yang kedua yang lebih mudah, murah dan terjangkau untuk UKM kecil dan menengah adalah dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan internet.Dalam Penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan dan pengembangan website e-commerce produk kerajinan untuk pasar ekspor. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan spesifikasi rancangan minimum hingga website dapat digunakan untuk memasarkan produk secara online. Hasil perncangan didapatkan bahwa website terdiri dari dua layanan secara garis besar. Yang pertama adalah halaman untuk konsumen yang berbelanja, dan yang kedua adalah halaman untuk admin dalam memanajemen website.<br />Kata Kunci: pemasaran produk ekspor, website e-commerce, sistem informasi penjualan.</p>

In the world of education the utilization of information technology is something that must be implemented, one of which is the use of the internet which can be used as a medium for disseminating information. Informatic Study Program of Sumbawa University of Technology is a study program that has graduated many alumni, but so far there is no portal that can manage information regarding the whereabouts of its alumni. This causes the study program difficulties in getting the latest information of the alumni when needed. Therefore, in this research a website-based alumni information system was designed which aims to facilitate the Informatic Study Program of Sumbawa University of Technology in managing and searching for information related to alumni data. In building this system researchers used the PHP programming language with CodeIgniter Framework and MySQL as the database. Then for the development of this software is using Waterfall model. It is hoped that when this system is implemented it can be used by study programs and alumni in managing alumni information, making it easier and faster to conduct data collection and reporting of existing alumni data.

This chapter presents a case study of an overview of the efforts of Texas Instrument’s (TI’s) internal and external ERP implementation, with a focus on linking its ERP system in a global e-commerce setting. This linkage is especially important since it had been stated in TI’s strategic plan as an objective of this project to provide visibility of the ERP system to external constituents via Web linkages along with the objective of standardizing internal processes and important information technology systems to support market needs. Thus, its ERP system is central to managing its supply chain and B2B e-commerce linkages from both a customer and supplier perspective. Issues faced by TI are clearly outlined with future questions also posed in the final section.

This is a typical case of implementing information technology in order to assist an enterprise to effectively utilize its production information resources. The enterprise, a world-class leader in Pharmaceutical industry, currently keeps a large number of technical research reports on shared network media. These reports contain scientific specifications extremely essential to the enterprises final products. In order to utilize these reports, a researcher has to navigate and literarly read through each report to identify whether it is relevant to what he/she is currently working on. Often times, researchers find it more feasible to create their own reports rather than wasting time and energy on the searching process. Our solution to the problem is to create an information system which will keep track of these reports, provide a concise synopsis of each report, enable the researchers to search using keywords, and give a direct link to locate that report via a friendly Web-based user-interface.
