Based on the analysis of five factors affecting energy risks, including supply and demand, economy, environment, transport, and disaster, this chapter establishes the prior-warning index system of the energy risk by covering 3 sub-systems and 37 indexes. The three sub-systems are the coal sub-system, the petroleum and natural gas sub-system, and the integrated factors sub-system. Fuzzy synthesis evaluation was applied to confirm the internal estimated index weight of the sub-systems. Moreover, the risk prior-warning model of the energy sub-systems was established by the method. The weights of the three sub-systems were determined through the concept of entropy weight, and the prior-warning indexes of energy risk were applied to evaluate the total energy security of the three sub-systems. Finally, the prior-warning model of energy risk in China was established. The entire situation of energy safety of China was summarized via empirical analysis.

At present, various public emergencies occur frequently around the world, and the world has entered the stage of a “high-risk society”. Urban community as the carrier of all kinds of public emergencies, its role has become increasingly prominent and become the focus of the current research, but in the urban community emergency management capacity evaluation system, the related studies are still less. To more effectively identify the key internal and external factors that affect the emergency management ability of the urban community, and evaluate scientifically and effectively, on the basis of the existing studies, the evaluation index system of community emergency management capability was established according to the emergency management cycle theory. In view of the complexity and fuzziness of the emergency management capability of the urban community, a multi-layer fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on entropy weight was established, and the emergency management capability evaluation of community was carried out under the background of the public emergency event of COVID-19 epidemic. The results show that the evaluation results and improvement suggestions of the multi-layer fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on entropy weight are consistent with the actual situation, indicating that the index system and the selected method are reasonable and effective. This study provides a new decision-making idea and method for the evaluation of urban community emergency management capability, and has high application value.

SummaryBy means of a twin study an attempt was made to throw light upon the aetiology and nosology of phobic fears. Factor analyses revealed five factors, namely separation fears, animal fears, mutilation fears, social fears and nature fears. The study demonstrated that, apart from separation fears, genetic factors play a part in the strength as well as content of phobic fears. Environmental factors, affecting the development of dependence, reserve and neurotic traits generally, seemed also to be of some importance. It was further demonstrated that phobic fears were related to emotional and social adjustment and this was true to an even greater extent for separation fears.

Assessment of the structure durability of concrete bridge in service is crucial for determining whether their service performance is meeting the design requirements or not. In this paper we classify the whole structure of bridge into two levels, i.e.bridge structure and bridge components. A two-level-multi-index model for evaluating the durability of concrete bridges in service is established based on the dependent functions of various factors, in which the dependent functions are chosen in accordance with the difference of various factors affecting the deterioration of durability of components. In this model, the durability of the bridge is divided into five different fuzzy levels: intact, disrepaired, damaged, severely damaged, and dangerous. Finally, based on fuzzy mathematics theory, the durability level of a bridge in practice is evaluated by using the maximum subordination principle.

The success of a module at a university of technology is measured by student performance. At the Durban University of Technology in the Department of Management Accounting, students in their second year of study struggle with conceptualising content in Cost Accounting two which affects their performance. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors which may impact on the performance of Cost Accounting two students and to determine if these factors have a significant association with a student’s performance in Cost Accounting two. Many studies have identified various factors which may influence students’ academic performance. For the purpose of this study, five factors that may affect student performance were identified and examined. The independent variables or factors identified were attendance, age, gender, grade 12 results and language. The dependent variable for this study was performance (in Cost Accounting two). In order to measure the performance of students included in the study, the percentage achieved in Cost Accounting two for the semester was used. Although studies have been conducted on student performance at universities across South Africa and around the world, limited studies were conducted on the performance of Cost Accounting two students within South Africa. The study aimed to identify the factors that affect the performance of Cost and Management Accounting students at a university of technology and the impact of those factors on performance. The study found that only student attendance has a positive impact on student performance in Cost Accounting two. The findings of this study may be useful to the Department of Management Accounting at the DUT and other universities of technology. It is hoped that the current study will be useful to other teachers of cost and management accounting at universities on which factors influence the academic achievement of students.

Background: Since 2008, the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination has been routinely recommended for pre-adolescents and adolescent girls in Uganda. The introduction of HPV vaccines represents a step forward in the primary prevention of cervical cancer and other HPV-related malignancies. This study examines the factors affecting the uptake of HPV vaccination among in-school adolescent girls in Wakiso district to generate information that can be used to improve the uptake of such critical services. Methodology: A cross-sectional analytical study was employed. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected concurrently. Data were collected from secondary schools in Wakiso district, selected using cluster sampling. Semi-structured self-administered questionnaires were used to collect quantitative data while data from mothers in Wakiso were collected using In-depth interviews through group dialogue sessions. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16.0; characteristics of the sample were summarized by descriptive statistics Results: The findings indicate the HPV vaccination uptake rate as low as 9.2% among the In-school adolescent girls in the Wakiso district. 68.5% belonged to the age group 16-19 (older adolescents). 91.2% had already had vaginal sex and 90.4% had ever had any STI. In the bivariate analyses, five factors were presented to be statistically significant with a P<0.05, implying that these factors were associated with HPV vaccination. They included the occupation of the caretaker, education level of the caretaker, perceived susceptibility to HPV infections and cervical cancer, perceived benefits of HPV vaccination, and knowledge attributes regarding HPV and HPV infections. Conclusion: The Ministry of the health of Uganda and partners should offer ample orientation and training to all health workers and encourage them to disseminate information on HPV vaccination to all eligible adolescents and their caretakers in Wakiso district central Uganda.

A river health assessment index system was established, focusing on the realistic needs of county sustainable development and the refined management of small- and medium-sized watersheds. The index system takes into consideration the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the vulnerability characteristics of small- and medium-sized watershed ecosystems and consists of 15 indicators in four areas: clean water, sanitation, the present status of biodiversity and threats to biodiversity. This paper uses the minimum discrimination information principle to construct a dynamic combination-weighting technology composed of a subjective weighting method (document frequency method) and an objective weighting method (entropy weight method). Using the fuzzy matter-element analysis theory, a comprehensive river health assessment technology system was constructed. Baoxing County was chosen as the research area and the results reveal that: (1) Key indicators are the biodiversity index of fish, water use intensity, endemic or indicative species retention, and chemical oxygen demand (COD) emissions. (2) The Euclid approach degree of Baoxing County indicates that the entire river is in a moderate state of health. In the future, towns must take targeted measures to coordinate the relationship between the ecological environment and socio-economic development, and enhancement and releasing must be prioritised.

In order to improve the rationality and fairness of Teachers’ “Double-qualified” Ability, the article establishes an evaluation model based on 14 evaluation indexes of teachers’ “double-qualified” ability. it adopts Delphi - entropy weight method to weight the evaluation index, and then combines TOPSIS method to evaluate the evaluation object. In the evaluation of TOPSIS method, the traditional TOPSIS weight method was improved, and the entropy weight-delphi method was used to determine the index weight, which was a combination of subjective and objective, making the evaluation system more objective, scientific and reasonable. It not only avoids the subjectivity of decision makers and limitations, but also eliminates the phenomenon of indexes in common impact assessment results and finally applies it to a university teacher “Double division and triple energy” evaluation system, to provide theoretical basis and feasibility analysis for the “double type” teachers team construction.
