This chapter designs a model of the skills and capabilities required of a logistics administrator. The design of the theoretical model of these skills was carried out based on six skills: management in the supply chain, information technologies, quantitative methods, finance, legislation, and soft skills. Its validation was made through the judgment of experts in the area of the supply and logistics chain. The result obtained was a Kappa value of 0.715, a good value. To validate the reliability of the measurement instrument, it was applied to 20 people working in the logistics area. The Cronbach alpha coefficient was used, obtaining a value of 0.928, which allows the reliability of the instrument to be considered excellent.

OBJECTIVES: To assess the reliability and validity of the Brazilian version of the Attentional Function Index. METHOD: Methodological study. The sample was made up of 138 students from an undergraduate nursing course. The psychometric properties were assessed through the convergent construct validity, using the Brazilian version of the Attentional Function Index and the Portuguese-language version of the Profile of Mood States instrument, while the reliability was measured by its internal consistency, expressed by the Cronbach Alpha Coefficient. RESULTS: The Cronbach Alpha Coefficient was 0.86 for the total score, and varied from 0.64 to 0.86 in the three subscales. A strong significant negative correlation (r=-0.64; p<0.0001) was obtained for the convergent validity. CONCLUSION: The Brazilian version of the Attentional Function Index resulted in satisfactory levels of validity and reliability, demonstrating its viability for use in practice and in undertaking further research.

The global shift in ecological movement has significant impacts on business operation of manufacturing firms that are located in developing countries. The intense pressure of being environmentally sustainable has caused Green Supply Chain Management (Green SCM) concept to emerge as an important corporate environmental strategy for manufacturing companies. Information technologies and systems have permeated in most business activities, in which, they extend important opportunities to resolve environmental issues. However, many researchers, including manufacturers and government bodies often disregard the green concept of information technologies and systems in minimizing environmental issues. A comprehensive review on Green SCM, Green IT and Green IS for sustainable environmental performance in manufacturing companies is presented using Input-Process-Output (IPO) Theory and Technological-Organizational-Environmental (TOE) theory. In bridging the research gap, a model is constructed to link the aforementioned constructs. Next, the paper reports on the development of survey questionnaire using cognitive interviewing strategies, followed up with semi-structured interview to investigate and obtain preliminary findings on the influential factors, green activities and performance outcomes from implementing Green SCM. Lastly, the finalized survey questionnaire was distributed to 60 ISO14001 certified manufacturing companies located in the region of Perak and Kulim. Out of 60 manufacturing companies, only 32 responses received as the dataset in analyzing for improvements in reliability, measurement error, and validity of measured items. The findings from this pilot study explain that internal and external factors have stronger influence over the implementation of green initiatives in supply chain with substantial outcome on environmental performance. The information technologies and systems being the physical resource, capability and backbone to run a business seamlessly are significantly recognized. But, the green component of IT and IS were poorly attended and disregarded to an extent in the process of greening the processes, operations or entire business. Therefore, further investigations are required in the main study to validate the findings obtained here and other possible association between the factors, practices and outcomes in realizing ecological improvements in the supply chain and firm itself.

This article trying to lay emphasis on four types of business modeling evergreen topics: business processing management, business analyzing, system analyzing and business processing reengineering by doing comparison between them. The conceptual foundation of the research is based on insights from the resource-based view (RBV) papers, books and theory its complementary competence perspective; the literature; and from the findings of the exploratory study. The research methodology used for descriptive research design. A major element of the paper is offers a number of an original contribution to students, academics and practitioners. The paper is valuable for them because its development and validation of the research model and its accompanying measurement instrument. The findings show these concepts are important and required to work closely together in order to deliver a set of included small business services to the user community, otherwise the overall technology services themselves will not provide any value to the business unless data should be used to achieve the requirements. It is evidently that combination of these concepts and Information Technologies (IT) results into reliable systems in the enterprises. The Business Processing management, The Business analyzing, both system analyzing and Business Processing Re-engineering can be considered as complementary to each other rather than as a substitute like piece of puzzle. They are contributing to the value addition of the small business.

Abstract Molecular dynamic models are created for properties of bivalent ions in organic solvents. It is shown that molecules of the considered solvents bound to ions via oxygen atoms. A theoretical model is developed that describes the ion coordination number. The coordination number in this model is determined by the ratio between the sizes of the ion and the atom organic molecule bound to it. It is shown that the coordination number depends weakly on the solvent and strongly on the type of ion. A value of 0.13 nm is obtained for the effective size of an oxygen atom bound to a bivalent ion. The constructed theoretical model agrees with the results from molecular dynamic calculations and the available experimental data.

Curiosity is an attitude and action that always tries to find out more deeply and broadly from something that is learned. Meanwhile, analogy is a thought process to draw conclusions based on similar processes or data. This is inversely proportional to the reality in the field based on the observations of researchers at University of Muhammadiyah Bone, researchers see that the curiosity and analogy skills of college student in the economic learning process are still classified as very low. Lecturers can strive for learning by using innovative, effective and creative learning, which can provide opportunities and encourage college student to have high curiosity in order to practice their analogical reasoning skills. In connection with this, the efforts made by researchers to build curiosity and analogy skills of college student in economic learning, namely the need for a scientific approach or a scientific process-based approach which is the organization of learning experiences in a logical order including the learning process by observing, questioning, collecting information, reason (associate) and communicate. The type of research used is quantitative research using experimental quantitative methods. The research design used, namely Quasi Experimental Design with the form of Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The results of this study are proven by the results of the analysis of the recapitulation of the student's analogy ability test which can be seen in the average final test in the experimental class, which is 7,621 and the initial test reaches a value of 6,961. While the results of the final test recapitulation of the analogy ability of college student in the control class reached a value of 6,276 while the initial test results reached a value of 7.5. Abstract Background Advances in technology and the expansion of nursing roles have led to complex ethical issues in nursing. Nursing students are the future clinical nursing workers and practitioners. The ethical sensitivity of nursing students is very important to the professional development of nursing students, which can strengthen the ethical cognition of nursing students, improve the ethical decision-making ability of nursing students, and is beneficial to the development of nursing students in the process of clinical practice and nursing education. However, there are no instruments to evaluate the ethical sensitivity of nursing students in China. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Chinese version of the Ethical Sensitivity Questionnaire for Nursing Students (ESQ-NS). Methods After obtaining the authorization of the author of the original scale, the study used the Brislin back-translation method for translation. An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were performed to examine the underlying factor structure of the translated questionnaire. The Cronbach alpha coefficient, the test-retest reliability, and the corrected item-total correlation were calculated to verify the internal consistency of the scale. Results The Chinese version of ESQ-NS retained 13 items. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) extracts four common factors, and the cumulative variance contribution rate is 62.479%. The CFA reached the adaptive standard, and the discriminant validity of the scale was good. The Cronbach alpha coefficient of this scale was 0.821, and 4 dimensions were between 0.708 and 0.738. The results of the test-retest showed that Pearson’s correlation coefficient of the overall ESQ-NS was 0.814. Corrected item-total correlation ranged from 0.337 to 0.542. Conclusions The Chinese version of the ESQ-NS has good reliability and validity, which can be used to evaluate the level of ethical sensitivity of nursing students in China.

Ontologies are spreading more and more in the field of information technologies as a privileged solution allowing the formalization of knowledge. The theoretical model of ontologies is most promising. They are increasingly ubiquitous given the benefits they present. Despite the proliferation of research proposing approaches dedicated to the design of a database from an ontology, the tools to design a database from an ontology are rare or inaccessible. Thus, in this contribution, we present our approach for the development of an Eclipse Plug-in, in order to automatically generate a conceptual model of a relational database from an ontology. To evaluate the usefulness of our approach, we used our resulting Eclipse Plug-in to automatically generate a conceptual model of a relational database from an ontology, customize it, and automatically generate the corresponding SQL script for Data Definition. The results of this experiment showed that our Plug-in constitutes a concretization of our approach and a means of automatic translation from the ontological model to the relational model.
