This research assesses the “positive or negative” effects of employee share ownership on good governance in Morocco. It focuses on a lagging but constantly evolving phenomenon in Morocco due, on the one hand, to the lack of awareness of its positive effects on both individual and organizational performance and, on the other hand, on the significant delay in Moroccan legislation regarding this subject. The authors propose an index to measure good governance that they use in order to test research hypotheses. The quantitative study examines all companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange over an observation period from 2015 to 2020. Through this research, the authors demonstrate the favorable effects of employee share ownership on good governance.

The discourse of globalization and its effects have been the most current topic in the field of economics in recent times. However, empirical research on the impact of globalization on companies, especially in transition countries, is very scarce. This paper focuses on the study of the impact of globalization on the performance of companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina by analyzing their interrelationships. The findings, in the case of companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, have confirmed earlier findings about the double impact of globalization by showing, on the one hand, its positive effects and, on the other hand, the negative effects on the performance of the companies. Additionally, the research results have shown that negative effects are felt more strongly in the case of small and medium-sized companies than in the case of large companies.

The quality of governance is influenced by and also has far-reaching implications on the political, economic, social, and technological growth of a nation. Good governance can be a significant player in accelerating India’s manufacturing growth plan. Government effectiveness is a critical element of good governance and is a function of the nation’s political stability, macroeconomic health, and the government’s reform-related decision-making capacity to drive the manufacturing growth rate. In order to study the impact of the quality of governance and its factors on the nation’s manufacturing growth, a system dynamics (SD) approach has been adopted in the article. The meaningful simulations carried out using the SD modelling, under the current economic environment, are expected to provide insights to the policymakers and strategic planners for evolving strategies in good governance for growth.

: Many Romanian companies going through a difficult period, which makes the care of managers to materialize more on obtaining immediate profit and rarely on some less obvious aspects such as communication influence on labour productivity. Often managers do not consider communication as a factor of real importance that may affect the staff performance. The way we communicate with those around us in the professional activity, but not only, place their mark on the results. Quality of management communication influences the way how the human resource is used and the organizational performance, in particular. Each individual has a certain style of communication formed by education, skills, beliefs and personal goals. It does not always ensure the effective and efficient communication. It can be appreciated the necessity for managers to watch the subordinates, but also to themselves, the change of attitude towards "science communication" by realizing the positive and negative effects of their own style of communication and by raising awareness of the necessity to acquire some communication skills .

This study tests the relationship between democracy and population health. Some studies argue that democracies are more likely than authoritarian regimes to provide public goods and, thus, enhance health. However, recent research has challenged this argument and identified good governance as the crucial determinant of human development. Using a newly collected dataset covering 173 countries from 1900 to 2012, our analyses show that across models with various specifications, democratic elections have consistent effects on health outcomes even when other important factors, including good governance, are taken into account. There are some nuances in this relationship. First, the impact of electoral democracy tends to persist over time. Furthermore, the positive effects are particularly salient once the quality of elections has achieved a certain threshold. Our results also suggest that previous studies yielded mixed results in part because the commonly used governance indicators are only available for relatively short time periods, and the sample does not reflect the entire range of variation in measures of both democracy and governance.

In 2006 the Spanish Dependency Law established new rights for people in situation of dependency. The impact of the Law could have also affected the quality of life of their carers. This study aims to understand how the Law may have influenced caregivers’ quality of life through their own perceptions and those of Primary Health Care professionals, and to compare both perspectives. The study used Concept Mapping, a mixed methods technique. In total, 16 caregivers and 21 professionals participated. Both groups identified a mix of positive and negative effects. Uncertainties and delays in granting benefits were reported. However, several advantages were identified, such as the possibility of sharing the burden of care, thus reducing its physical, mental and social consequences, while at the same time being able to maintain responsibility. Most of the mechanisms identified were common to both caregivers and professionals; the most notable differences were that the latter attached more importance to economic support and less to the negative effects of implementation of the Law. This study reveals positive effects of the Law on caregivers’ quality of life and the potential for improvement of some negative aspects in its implementation related with the context of austerity.

Podkarpackie Voivodeship is one of the regions of Poland in which the number of agritourism entities is very high. Therefore tourism plays a significant role in its development strategy. The aim of the paper is to identify the current state of agritourism and the changes that have occurred in the region in the years 2000–2016. Specific objectives are to determine the distribution of agritourism farms and their offer, together with a comprehensive analysis of the environmental and socio-economic factors, as well as the impact of the Slovak-Ukrainian border. The report was developed on the statistical materials from the Polish Central Statistical Office, Podkarpackie Agricultural Advisory Centre in Boguchwała and data collected from municipalities and district offices that is published on their websites, as well as through interviews with 100 owners of agritourism farms in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The research has shown, on the one hand, the decline in the number of farms in the region and, on the other hand, the increase in the diversity of the tourist offer of these entities. Distribution of agritourism farms is closely linked to the attractiveness of natural environment and quality of secondary tourism resources. Traditional agritourism has not yet fully used its countryside, as well as cross-border advantages of its location.

The aim of this study is to determine the existence of a characteristic personality profile of family carers of people with dementia. The correct knowledge and use of psychological variables which affect the carer, helps to promote appropriate actions to mitigate the impact of care and improve the carer’s quality of life and likewise the one of the person cared for. The study population consists of 69 family carers of people with dementia, members of various associations and care centers. The results allow us to identify a characteristic personality profile for these carers and it reveals a specific psychological working in this sample, although we cannot directly relate it with the tasks of caring for people with this disease, this profile gives us very relevant information to pay more attention to the needs of this group. Moreover, the analysis of personality styles depends on the sex of the family carer, showing, once again, that the woman is in a situation of most vulnerability.
