This paper describes the use and application of the TODA (Trade-off Decision Analysis) method through a case study. The method uses the concept of trade-off applied to a prioritization matrix and, to define the weights, it takes the concept of causality into account. Studies have shown that the TODA achieves the same results as the competing AHP method. However, it is easier to operate. The methodology used is a case study concerning the choice of the type of car for a fleet of vehicles to be driven by salespeople. Together with the software application process, the methods that aided the weighting of the criteria are described and how the values of the alternatives are converted into coefficients of the objective function. The results clearly show that the method is easily applied, but the limitations of the case study method preclude forming generalizations.

The present study aimed to examine students’ views about the evaluation of teaching via concept cartoon activities related to the translation concept within the scope of the sub-learning domain of 8th grade transformation geometry. The study was carried out using the case study method, which is based on the qualitative approach. The participants in the study were 40 8th grade students (25 female and 16 male) from two different classes of a state secondary school located in the Eastern Anatolia in Turkey. The application process in the study was conducted in one week, and the interviews held following the application process lasted three days. As the data collection tool, a semi-structured five-item interview form was used. The interviews were audio recorded, and they were transcribed and analyzed using the content analysis method. Following this, the students’ responses to each interview question were coded. Codings were obtained using an inductive analysis method. The research results revealed that the concept cartoon activities provided the students with a wide variety of benefits (instructive, entertaining, motivating, mental development and so on) and that the students had positive views about the use of cartoon activities in lessons. Considering the analysis results and the students’ views, the educational and methodological aspects of the study were discussed.

One example of the growing information technology today is mobile learning, mobile learning which refers to mobile technology as a learning medium. Mobile learning is learning that is unique for each student to access learning materials anywhere, anytime. Mobile learning is suitable as a model of learning for the students to make it easier to get an understanding of a given subject, such as math is pretty complicated and always using formulas. The design method that I use is the case study method, namely, learning, searching and collecting data related to the study. While the development of engineering design software application programs that will be used by the author is the method of Rapid Application Development (RAD), which consists of 4 stages: Requirements Planning Phase, User Design Phase, Construction Phase and Phase Cotuver.

Shift to The Front II Komplek Sukamukti Banjaran Project is one of the projects implemented by one of the companies engaged in telecommunications. In its implementation, each project including Shift to The Front II Komplek Sukamukti Banjaran has a time limit specified in the contract. Project scheduling is an important role in predicting both the cost and time in a project. Every project should be able to complete the project before or just in the time specified in the contract. Delay in a project can be anticipated by accelerating the duration of completion by using the crashing method with the application of linear programming. Linear programming will help iteration in the calculation of crashing because if linear programming not used, iteration will be repeated. The objective function in this scheduling is to minimize the cost. This study aims to find a trade-off between the costs and the minimum time expected to complete this project. The acceleration of the duration of this study was carried out using the addition of 4 hours of overtime work, 3 hours of overtime work, 2 hours of overtime work, and 1 hour of overtime work. The normal time for this project is 35 days with a service fee of Rp. 52,335,690. From the results of the crashing analysis, the alternative chosen is to add 1 hour of overtime to 34 days with a total service cost of Rp. 52,375,492. This acceleration will affect the entire project because there are 33 different locations worked on Shift to The Front II and if all these locations can be accelerated then the duration of completion of the entire project will be effective

This study aimed to analyze the value-added of salted little tuna in Bandung Regency. The general method used in this research is the case study method. The data analysis method used is quantitative descriptive analysis. And to analyze the value-added, the Hayami’s methods were used. The research conduct in Bandung regency from July to August 2021. The results of this research show that value added of salted little tuna in Bandung regency is 27% it means the price of salted little tuna increase 27% from the price of fresh little tuna fish. So, the value-added of salted little tuna is relatively still low. The strategic that used to increase the value added of salted little tuna i.e., increasing in production, increasing in price, and decreasing in costs.

This study aims to determine the income level of broiler plasma farmers in Samsul Arifin Farm, Tulang Bawang District, Lampung. This research is done by using case study method. The data was collected in November-September 2016. The selection of research sites was done purposively, considering that Samsul Arifin farm is one of the active farms to become PT Ciomas Adisatwa’s plasma. The data collected consists of primary and secondary. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis and income analysis. The results showed that broiler breeders with an average partner system earn a profit per period during the year 2016 amounting to Rp32.661.415,38. The R / C value of broiler farming with a partner system of 1.10, which means that livestock business is profitable. Keywords: Partnerships, Income, RO ratio

Ensuring that students reach the determined goals of the courses at the desired level is one of the primary goals of teaching. In order to achieve this purpose, educators use a variety of teaching strategies and methods, and teaching materials appropriate to the content and the subject of the courses in the teaching process. As a matter of fact, it is known that the methods and materials that appeal to different sense organs of the students influence the learning process positively. In addition, the use of various teaching methods, techniques and materials in the teaching process both attract students’ attention and save the lesson from boredom, which affects the learning positively. In the process of teaching students sometimes have problems using their theoretical knowledge in real life situations. In this context, various teaching methods are also used for the practicalization of theoretical knowledge in the teaching processes. The case study method is one of the effective methods to achieve this purpose, because the case study method is a teaching method that enables students to acquire the knowledge and skills to deal with the problem they are working on and to produce information-based solutions in real life situations similar to the situations they are working with. In this study, the literature related to the case study method was examined and the application of the method, its history, application types, points to be considered in the application process, advantages of using the method in the teaching process and its limitations and teaching techniques to be used with the method are explained.

The selection of an appropriate coastal protection structure using multi-criteria analysis method AHP (analytic hierarchy process) was presented by a case study of a beach reconstruction in the Kostanj Bay (north-western part of Croatia). The newly designed beach (about 300 m long) will be formed on the western part of the bay by the additional filling of the natural rocky coastline with gravel and building reinforced concrete seawalls towards the sea. The beach will be protected by a submerged breakwater. Five different alternatives were analysed and defined by a different design of the protective breakwater. The first alternative, without the submerged breakwater, was considered as the baseline alternative. An additional four alternatives were examined based on four criteria and five sub-criteria, which considered the technical, economic, social and environmental impacts. The sensitivity of the ranking for the considered alternatives was analysed using five criteria importance scenarios.

This article presents a careerography of John F. Kennedy Jr. (JFK Jr.), a late 20th-century iconic personality. Careerography adapts psychobiography by anchoring its interpretive lens in established theories of career development. In our longitudinal case study of JFK Jr., the theories of Donald Super and Mary Sue Richardson served as the career theories to frame and interpret his career development. The sequential model of careerography applied to JFK Jr. focused on (1) our selection of the historical subject, (2) ethical considerations and bracketing, (3) outlining initial research questions, (4) choosing anchoring career theories, (5) engaging the iterative research and theory application process, and (6) writing the careerography. The article concludes with a brief discussion of how careerography adds to the historical study of notable personalities, and how in turn career theory can be informed through the intensive case study method of careerography.
