Investigating Factors Affecting Intention to Use Government Websites for COVID-19-Related Information

With the rapid spread of COVID-19, governments of several nations have ordered some kind of lockdown to withhold the spread of this deadly virus. The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned the nations to take this virus seriously, which has a potential to bring a catastrophe to this world. WHO has continuously been working as a guiding star in this time of pandemic. It is important for the world to have an updated information related to the disease. While seeking information over the internet, there are several questions which pops up in the mind of the information seekers. Keeping in mind the relevance of COVID-19-related information over the internet, the present study investigates the behavioral intention of the internet users to seek information related to the disease. Researchers have adapted TAM model with two additional factors (i.e., electronic word of mouth [E-WOM] and trust). The findings suggest that perceived usefulness and E-WOM have a positive impact on trust, which further has a positive impact on intention to use government websites related to COVID-19 information.

Purpose Internet is both a medium and a platform for information exchange. This characteristic of internet is gradually metamorphosing it into an e-learning enabler. A significant percentage of internet users access health-related information through the medium of internet, but little is known about the factors that determine such behaviour. This study aims to explore the factors that determine the behaviour of those seeking health-related information in the virtual world. Design/methodology/approach The present study analyses the role of perceived ease of usefulness (PEOU), perceived usefulness (PU), self-efficacy (SE) and information quality (IQ) on the intention (IU) of the internet users to seek health-related information. Researcher-controlled sampling was used for data collection from 210 university students. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA), t-test and correlation have been used for data analysis. Findings The results of the study demonstrate that except SE, all other factors have a positive relationship with the intention of the users to seek health-related information. The findings suggest that PU and IQ overshadow PEOU in encouraging the users seeking such health-related information over the internet. Originality/value The present study extends the understanding of e-learning adoption associated with seeking health-related information. The researchers propose an extended technology acceptance model (TAM) model to study the factors influencing the use of internet in seeking health-related information by the students enrolled in medical and non-medical courses.

To this end, the authors selected the Decomposed Theory of Planned Behavior (DTPB) to help account for the intention to book online. The authors conduct an online survey. Data was obtained from 158 questionnaires and analyzed through regression. The study demonstrated the importance of causal relationships between predictor variables and the dependent variable, namely the intention to book online. A novel result, perceived usefulness does not admit a positive impact on the attitude towards online booking. Thus, the study has confirmed the explanatory power of the DTPB model in accounting for consumers' behavioral intention in the context of e-tourism.

With the rapid growth of information technology, electronic money has played an important and central role in the e-payment. Development of electronic money is able to create a trend less-cash society, which is a society’s behavior using non- cash transactions by utilizing the simplicity offered through electronic transactions. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors affecting the intention to use electronic money. We designed a questionnaire and used it to survey a simple random sampling of people who use of e-money in DKI Jakarta. The actual samples used for the study are 125 respondents. We analyzed the data using Structured Equation Modeling to evaluate the strength of the hypothesized effects. The result of the analysis showed that perceived ease of use has no significant effect on attitudes towards the use of e-money. Perceived ease of use has a significant effect on the perceived usefulness of e-money. Perceived usefulness has no significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Perceived usefulness has a significant effect on attitudes towards the use of e-money. Attitude has a significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Subjective norm has a significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Perceived behavioral control has no significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Introduction:Dementia has become a worldwide concern. According to the World Health Organization, there are 50 million individuals suffering from dementia across the world and approximately 20 million new cases are diagnosed each year. The efficacy of medications in controlling agitation and psychotic symptoms is modest and may cause serious adverse effects, outlining the urge for new treatment methods for patients with dementia. Music therapy (MT) is a nonpharmacologic strategy that is used in patients with early-to-late stages of dementia with promising results.Objectives:The aim of this presentation is to evaluate the benefits of music therapy in cognitive functioning and neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients diagnosed with dementia. We also summarize the current knowledge about this topic.Methods:A non-systematic review of the literature was performed on PubMed, PsycINFO and Web of science using selected keywords.Results:MT sustains its benefit because musical memory regions in the brain are relatively spared compared to cognitive function. “Musical memories” can, thus, be stored longer than non-musical memories, allowing to recall associated life events and emotions. Systematic reviews suggest that MT seem to have a positive effect on symptoms such as depression, anxiety and behavioral problems while the findings concerning agitation/aggression are inconsistent. No large differences were found between studies using live or recorded music although the latter reported more of a consistently positive impact on behavioral and psychological outcomes. The studies using live music, however, reported specific benefits to relationships and interactions.Conclusions:The majority of the studies have methodological limitations, making it difficult to offer firm conclusions. Despite this, there were positive results on aspects of quality of life, cognitive function, behavioral, psychological, physiological and communication outcomes.

The development of information and computerized tenology has led to what is called the Internet and the World Wide Web (WWW). In addition, the dramatic development of the Internet has given users more choice and control over content, and also provides individuals, businesses, and public and private organizations with the opportunity to generate and disseminate information. The interactive features of the web can be an effective way to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships if the web is used properly. The presence of the Internet has proven to have a positive impact on the development of a village, sub-district or district to introduce and inform the potential of its region. This is evident in several regions of Indonesia which have successfully used Internet facilities to introduce tourist destinations to the world. Therefore, the training on the promotion website is an effort to optimize the introduction of high quality village products in the district of Patuk and is also intended to follow the results of research on the design of a promotion of superior products and tourist objects on the web in Patuk Gunungkidul district. On the basis of the website promotion feasibility test during the training for each representative in 11 villages in the Patuk sub-district, 87.36% was obtained, so that it can be said that the Introduction of superior village products via promotional materials based on the website was optimal and met the needs of users.

The research aims to explore, measure, and analyze factors affecting the intention to use Mobile Banking (M-Banking) of customers in Ho Chi Minh City. The author conducts a convenient sampling, including 600 participants. The method of the research is the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and a multiple regression model. The results show that there are six factors such as perceived ease to use (EU), perceived usefulness (PU), trust (TR), expected performance (PE), social influence (SI), Facilitating condition (FC) affect the adoption of M-Banking. In which, Facilitating condition is the most influential factor, and expected performance is the least influential factor. Also, this study proposes some recommendations to develop an M-Banking application to help customers gain more insight into the bank as well as actively select the M-Banking application as a reliable transaction method.

The purpose of this research is to examine the factors affecting interests of taxpayers in using efiling facility. The independent variables of this research are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, security and privacy, complexity, readiness technology taxpayers information and human resources. Data used in this research is primary data by using questionnaires. Respondent are the Individual Taxpayers who used e-filing.This research used multiple linear regression analysis that involved 108 respondents. The results show that: (1) perceived usefulness affects positively the intention to use E-filing, (2) perceived ease of use affects positively the intention to use E-Filing, (3) security and privacy affects positively the intention to use E-Filing, (4) complexity affects negatively the intention to use E-filing, (5) Readiness Technology Taxpayers Information affects positively the intention to use E-Filing (6) Human Resources affects positively the intention to use E-Filing

This study aims to evaluate the utilization of ICT in education administration and management in a Pakistan context during the pandemic outbreak. Adoption of information and communication technologies (ICTs) has digitalized the learning process where education organizations were administrated by means of wireless-based instructions, electronic pedagogy, and online assessment in order to continue the educational activities while the government halted the physical appearance in education institutions. Data collection has been carried by three public universities in which teachers and general administration of these institutions participated to discover their intention to use the assigned technology to administrate organizations’ policies in the way to disseminate the respective service delivery. Survey questionnaires were used, and 178 respondents’ feedback was secured to analyze the study that was carried out via SPSS version 24 and validation OF hypotheses measured by means of regressions and correlations. Moreover, proposed factors like intention to use, perceived ease of ease, perceived usefulness, social influence, and Users’ expectations were used. A theoretical approach was inculcated to encircle the UTAUT and TAM model to determine the adoption of the innovative system education management during the pandemic outbreak in the country.

The Internet is definitely the most complex and dynamic technical and cultural phenomenon that humanity ever experienced. Nevertheless, despite its positive impact on the Western world, Web 2.0 has yet to prove its power in the undeveloped regions of the globe, where the Internet Era is still at its dawn. In developing countries, the barriers that women face, such as poverty or social imbalances, establish significant challenges that hinder connectivity and access to modern technologies. In this context, the chapter discusses the evolution of gender speech in relation to new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). The authors determine whether the declarations and plans for action that were issued subsequent to the 1995 Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing enhanced the establishment of gendered policies on ICTs, particularly in the undeveloped regions of the world, and whether, in this way, they empower women, contribute to combating women's poverty, and promote gender equality.
