The video detection technology is a very active branch in the research field of machine vision, and the detection of vehicle trajectory by the stationary camera has become more and more important. However, there is little research on the measurement error of left-turn vehicles trajectory. This paper not only studies the relationship between the measurement error and longitudinal distance; but also relationship of measurement error and transverse distance. Their mathematical models are constructed and each of the variables in the models is analyzed. Then in the case analysis of certain intersection, the experimental results have shown that the proposed funtions can describe the relationship between measurement error and the parameters. It can provide the theoretical support for the measurement error problems of obtaining trajectory by video detection.

Abstract Developing efficient and promising tenderising techniques for postmortem meat is a heavily researched topic among meat scientists as consumers are willing to pay more for guaranteed tender meat. However, emerging tenderising techniques are not broadly used in the meat industry and, to some degree, are controversial due to lack of theoretical support. Thus, understanding the mechanisms involved in postmortem tenderisation is essential. This article first provides an overview of the relationship of ageing tenderisation and calpain system, as well as proteomics applied to identify protein biomarkers characterizing tenderness. In general, the ageing tenderisation is mediated by multiple biochemical activities, and it can exhibit better palatability and commercial benefit by combining other interventions. The calpain system plays a key role in ageing tenderisation functions by rupturing myofibrils and regulating proteolysis, glycolysis, apoptosis and metabolic modification. Additionally, tenderising techniques from different aspects including exogenous enzymes, chemistry, physics and the combined methods are discussed in depth. Particularly, innovation of home cooking could be recommended to prepare relatively tender meat due to its convenience and ease of operation by consumers. Furthermore, the combined interventions provide better performance in controlled tenderness. Finally, future trends in developing new tenderising techniques, and applied consideration in the meat processing industry are proposed in order to improve meat quality with higher economical value. Based on dimensional analysis, finite element numerical calculation is undertaken on elastic–plastic solids to investigate the relationship between instrumented indentation nominal hardness Hn and reduced elastic modulus Er for three different apex angle indenters. The half-included angles of axisymetric conical indenter models are 62.9°, 70.3°and 85.566° which are corresponding to the real indenters of cube corner indenter with 60° face angle, Berkovich indenter with 65.27° face angle and cube corner indenter with 85° face angle, respectively. The relationship between a nominal hardness/reduced elastic modulus (Hn/Er) and elastic work/total indentation work (We/Wt) is established with a sixth-order polynomial form for each apex angle indenter. For rigid indenter of instrumented indentation model, reduced elastic modulus Er=1/[(1+v2)/E], where E and v are elastic modulus and Poisson’s ratio of the indented material. Therefore, Hn/Er–We/Wt relationship can be used to give estimates of E. Accuracy estimation for the each relationship of each half-included angle indenter shows that the large half-included angle of 85.566° gives better Er measurement error of +11.56% for a low yield strength material(e.g., materials for which σy=100MPa, n=0 and E=200GPa), while for the smaller half-included angle of 62.9° or 70.3° indenter, the measurement error is > ±12.74%. The research in this paper confirms that Hn/Er–We/Wt relationship of large apex angle indenter such as 85.566° half-included angle is recommended to be used for estimating the elastic modulus E of indented material.

Circular synthetic aperture radar (CSAR) has a 360° observation capability on the central observation scenario. A typical way to process CSAR imaging is to cut data into small sub-apertures because most targets are only coherent at a very small observation angle. There are many sub-aperture imaging methods after development in recent years. The back-projection algorithm is widely used because it is simple and can be applied to an arbitrary trajectory. Because of the limitation of the Nyquist sampling frequency and influence of the antenna sidelobe, azimuth ambiguity is a phenomenon that may occur in the radar imaging process. The existing researches typically choose the back-projection (BP) imaging area according to the SAR platform flight path and the antenna beam width. The limitation of the CSAR imaging area and its azimuth ambiguity region are rarely analyzed theoretically. This paper focus on the sub-aperture imaging of CSAR, based on the BP algorithm, which derives the relationship of azimuth ambiguity with CSAR parameters such as the pause repeat frequency (PRF), slant range angle, velocity of radar platform, etc. This paper proposes an equation for the calculation of the azimuth ambiguity region and analyzes the limitations, which provides theoretical support for CSAR parameter design, imaging area selection, and azimuth ambiguity analysis.

The authors assess the equivalence of 2 assays and put forward a general approach for assay agreement analysis that can be applied during drug discovery. Data sets generated by different assays are routinely compared to each other during the process of drug discovery. For a given target, the assays used for high-throughput screening and structure-activity relationship studies willmost likely differ in their assay reagents, assay conditions, and/or detection technology, whichmakes the interpretation of data between assays difficult, particularly as most assays are used to measure quantitative changes in compound potency against the target. To better quantify the relationship of data sets from different assays for the same target, the authors evaluated the agreement between results generated by 2 different assays that measure the activity of compounds against the same protein, ALK5. The authors showthat the agreement between data sets can be quantified using correlation and Bland-Altman plots, and the precision of the assays can be used to define the expectations of agreement between 2 assays. They propose a scheme for addressing issues of assay data equivalence, which can be applied to address questions of how data sets compare during the lead identification and lead optimization processes in which assays are frequently added and changed.

Purpose The perceived electronic-service quality (e-SQ) has become a relevant research area, not only in developed but also in smaller, less-developed countries. The purpose of this paper is to provide a description of an analysis into the relationship of the dimensions of perceived e-SQ and satisfaction as well as WOM intention in case of an online bookstore in Hungary where technical development and internet penetration is emerging; however, it is developing from an economic perspective. Beyond this a potential segmentation is introduced in the Hungarian market. Design/methodology/approach The direct effect of perceived e-SQ’s dimensions on satisfaction and on traditional WOM were analysed using the PLS-SEM method, which was followed by the segmentation approach. The paper also demonstrates differences of the identified consumer segments, using multivariate analysis of variance. Findings According to the research only the dimension of efficiency and responsiveness have a significant positive effect on satisfaction, and beside these the quality perception of fulfilment has a significant influence on WOM intention. Using the relevant latent variable scores segmentation was conducted and four clusters were identified. Originality/value Due to peculiarities of e-services, quality measurement needs a constant revision and adoption. Extent amount of research has been dedicated to analyse the relationship of quality and satisfaction, but the direct effect of relevant quality dimensions on word-of-mouth intention is a new research field. Segmenting customers based on latent variable scores of the proposed model has not been conducted before in case of an online bookstore in Hungary. According to the results the evaluation of the technology-based components has the greatest effect on satisfaction and WOM intention. However, web-shops managers should focus not only on online characteristics but also on offline, human-based interactions and the service quality of their delivery partners.

The existence of the relationship between fashion and art dates back to old times. The aim of Worth and Poiret with the arising of haute couture in 19th century was the acceptance of fashion designers as artists. Even though this situation has never realized completely, many designers continued designing clothing with the sense of art and still do. The subject that unites design and art on the common ground is that there is an effort of creating an esthetical product at the end of both activities. In this direction, art lessons have always been a part of design education. As in every design field, in fashion design field art lessons take place in the curriculum. Art provides the inspiration for the designers; students and other designers design clothing by being influenced by the art. Thus, art becomes an eternal research field for designers, art literacy comes into prominence in this respect. The aim of this research is to discuss the relationship of art and fashion within its historical development and reveal the art literacy of the students of the department of fashion design. The research has been carried out in Eskisehir Anadolu University Faculty of Architecture and Design Department of Fashion Design. The method of the research is descriptive. In order to obtain the research data along with literature review art literacy scale that is developed by Assistant Professor Doctor İzzet Yucetoker has been used. Scale 96 has been applied on fashion design student. Keywords: fashion, art, fashion design, art literacy.

Summary Mechanical specific energy (MSE) is the amount of energy required to destroy a unit volume of rock. The main work of this study is to bring the hydraulic energy of a pulsed jet into an MSE model and further analyze the mechanism of improving the rate of penetration (ROP) for pulsed-jet drilling on the basis of the model. Laboratory experiments are used to obtain the relationship of bit hydraulic horsepower between pulsed jet and continuous jet, and then the MSE model of pulsed-jet drilling is established. According to the MSE theory, the major mechanisms of improving ROP in pulsed-jet drilling are changing the breaking strength of rock and improvement of downhole-cuttings-cleaning efficiency. Field tests and data presented in this study showed that this model could be used to evaluate drilling efficiency and identify abnormal conditions for pulsed-jet drilling. All tests were operated with similar parameters and on the same drilled formation. The field results illuminate that pulsed-jet drilling has higher drilling efficiency compared with conventional drilling. Moreover, the specific patterns for abnormal conditions can be detected in real time in the process of pulsed-jet drilling. This model is less ambiguous as well as robust. Therefore, it could provide theoretical support for the wide application of pulsed-jet drilling.

This paper proposes a theoretical framework for investigating stakeholder theory in organizations. The organizations theory can be understood in three theoretical models: rationalist, natural and open systems. These models are presented to justify that organizations should be analyzed taking into account that social system aspects and the natural and open system models are employed. The applications of this paper rely upon the theoretical framework which is based on an extensive literature review comprising environment based theories. This paper would be of help to researchers examining the whole set of the relationship of organizations with their environment instead of only the relationships with external agents. Employing the theoretical basis presented in this analysis, the researcher will be able to identify both feasible theoretical sources for his/her studies and useful approaches for carrying on his/her investigations. The paper presents theories for explaining the organization's behavior and performance as being influenced by stakeholders who inhabit its environment. Resource dependence and institutional theory are employed to give theoretical support to the stakeholder. At the end of the paper, a diagram representing the theoretical framework is presented.

Purpose/Background: This paper provides a systematic review of previous articles, books, and online news with a specific focus on Muslim tourists’ experiential value, Islamic attributes, and halal tourist destinations. Methodology: This paper reviews literature reviews of journal articles, conference proceedings, and books interrelated with the keywords and the research field. Main Findings: The review findings suggest that tourists’ satisfaction is crucial in determining destination loyalty and the decision of revisiting certain destinations. Satisfaction should be used to assess the performance of destinations’ products and services as Muslim tourists may take into account the availability of facilities tailored to cater their religious and personal needs but they will feel most satisfied when performance exceeds necessities. Application: The findings from this review will benefit those in the tourism-related industries and policymakers. The specific identification of certain elements influencing the Muslim tourists’ preferences would help the service providers to offer attractive packages that meet the tourist’ expectations. Limitations: This paper has its limitations as the data was obtained from tourists visiting several locations in Bandung, Padang, and Lombok, Indonesia. To obtain generalized findings with regards to tourists’ views of the issue, a larger sampling is recommended. Novelty/Originality: This paper is significant as it focuses on Halal tourism by highlighting Muslim experiential values in halal tourist destinations as previous studies were focused on products and shopping malls. Hence, information from this paper will provide more light on the importance of Islamic attributes on halal tourism and Muslim tourists’ intention to revisit the locations.
