Sports will bring interests for the urban development, which is the starting point of the paper, then the relationship between urban development, urban landscape environment, urban culture and the sports building is analyzed to reflect on the design demands and the transformation of functional role, moreover the diversified development trend of sports building in the social, economic and cultural development as well as their commensal and harmonious design are proposed.

Urban development projects often lead to social contraction between the technical-physical approach and the socio-cultural approach. To explain the problem, this paper inspires the concepts of urban anthropology and socio-cultural development. The study was conducted in 2016-2017 in community located in Ciliwung riverbank, Jakarta. The methods used include in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The results of the study show that although river normalization projects and relocation projects have been equipped with a policy framework and technical framework that accommodates the interests of the community, the implementation of the social approach has not been implemented consistently. This condition raises doubts, rejections, and resistance from the community to maintain the social, economic and environmental resources that have been ruled on the riverbanks. This research confirms the importance of affirming socio-cultural approaches in urban development programs and projects that are carried out consistently by fulfilling the prerequisites for freedom in time, financing, and management resources.

AbstractThis article argues that constructions of social phenomena in social policy and welfare scholarship think about the subjects and objects of welfare practice in essentialising ways, with negativistic effects for practitioners working in ‘regulatory’ contexts such as housing and homelessness practice. It builds into debates about power, agency, social policy and welfare by bringing psychosocial and feminist theorisations of relationality to practice research. It claims that relational approaches provide a starting point for the analysis of empirical practice data, by working through the relationship between the individual and the social via an ontological unpicking and revisioning of practitioners' social worlds.

El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la formación inicial del profesorado de Educación Física, incorporando elementos de reflexión y propuestas para considerar tanto en los planes de estudio como a nivel de las materias que componen el mismo. Todo esto, desde el convencimiento de que las cuestiones más importantes en nuestro campo se decidirán en un marco político que prioriza las cuestiones económicas y sociales ante la investigación y las opiniones de los expertos. Se desarrollará de acuerdo a la siguiente estructura:(1) Justificaremos que los procesos de innovación y cambio están influenciados principalmente por el contexto social, económico y político (más que por los resultados obtenidos desde la investigación); (2) analizaremos la evolución de la formación docente, prestando especial atención a la «nueva formación del profesorado» (docentes informados, críticos y capaces de promover el cambio); (3) defenderemos la necesidad de concebir y realizar una formación del profesorado capaz de prepararlos para ser eficaces; (4) nos referiremos a los desafíos para una formación de calidad del profesorado de Educación Física, centrándose en aspectos tales como: ¿Qué papel deben jugar las características de las/los estudiantes que quieren acceder a los programas de formación inicial del profesorado de educación física (FIPEF) y como transformar las creencias de los futuros docentes? ¿Qué tipos de programas contribuyen a la formación de un profesional más cualificado? ¿Cómo definir e impartir la materia dentro de los programas de FIPEF?, y ¿Cuáles son las características de los FIPEF de calidad? y, (5) concluiremos haciendo algunas recomendaciones para la formación inicial del profesorado de educación física.Palabras clave. formación inicial del profesorado, profesorado de educación física, educación física, innovación educativa.Abstract. The aim of this paper is to analyse the Physical Education in Teacher Education (PETE) in introducing elements of reflection and proposals considering both the curriculum and the contents used in this curriculum. We will do this based on the conviction that the most important issues in our field will be decided on a policy framework that prioritizes social and economic issues grounded on research and expert opinions. This article has the following structure: (1) we will introduce the topics of the article emphasising that the processes of innovation and changes are mainly influenced by the social, economic and political context (rather than the results obtained from research); (2) we will analyse the evolution of teacher education, giving special attention to the «new teacher education» (informed, critical and able to promote change); (3) we will defend the need to conceive and perform a PETE able to prepare teachers to become effective teachers; (4) we will refer to the challenges for PETE, trying to answer the following relevant questions: What role should PETE candidates’ attributes play in the PETE curriculum and what is the relationship between effective PETE and student achievement in physical education? What programmatic structures or curricular frameworks are most promising for preparing effective teachers? How should we define and deliver subject matter within PETE? What pedagogical strategies within PETE promote effective teaching? And, (5) we will conclude making some recommendations to PETE.

Vietnam is a country of an early history establishment with three archaeological centres: Dong Son in the North, Sa Huynh in the Central, and Oc Eo in the South. In the long history, these three centres unite and gather into a unified block, step by step, becoming a mainstream development trend. By the eleventh century, Thang Long capital (Hanoi) is a typical representative, the starting point for the course of advancement to the South of the Vietnamese. Later, Phu Xuan (Hue) from the fourteenth century and Gia Dinh (Saigon) from the seventeenth century directly multiply resources, deciding the success of the course of territory expansion and determining the southern territory of the nation Dai Viet – Vietnam in the middle of the eighteenth century. The Tay Son movement at the end of the eighteenth century starts unifying the country, but the course is not completed with numerous limitations. The mission of unifying the whole country is assigned back to Nguyen Anh. Nguyen Anh continually builds Gia Dinh into a firm basement for proceeding to conquer the imperial capital of Hue and the citadel Thang Long, completing the 733-year journey to expand the southern territory (1069–1802) and unifying the whole country into a single unit. Hanoi – Hue – Saigon in the relationship and mutual support has become the three pillars that determine all successes throughout the long history and in each stage of expansion and shaping of territory and unification of the country.

The article analyses the problem of the relationship and interaction between urban design and landscape architecture. This refers to the period of the modern city from the late nineteenth century to the present day. There are presented and discussed urbanization processes and examples of solutions with emphasis on problems arising from the relationship between a city and nature as well as those related to urban landscape and sustainability of urban landscaping in the twentieth century. Straipsnyje analizuojama urbanistikos ir kraštovaizdžio architektūros santykio ir sąveikos problema. Aprėpiamas moderniojo miesto laikotarpis – nuo XIX a. antrosios pusės iki nūdienos. Pateikiama XX a. urbanizacijos procesų ir sprendinių pavyzdžių, aptariama akcentuojant miesto santykio su gamta, želdynais, t. y. gyvo, tvaraus miesto kraštovaizdžio, formavimo problematiką.

AbstractHouseholds, communities, and society exist in a mutually constituting relationship, shaping and being shaped by one another. Daily life within households can have political dimensions and affect societal organization. Research at the Maya farming community of Chan in Belize demonstrates how households shaped their lives, history, and politics for 2,000 years (800b.c.–a.d.1200). We examine the households of Chan's leaders and the social, economic, political, and religious relationships between leading households and other households across the community to show how novel forms of political practice arose through household interaction. Community leaders and households across the community developed community-focused ritual practices and group-oriented social, economic, ideological, and political strategies that were critical in the development of their community, were distinctive from normative individual-focused political practices of the Classic Maya kings, and may have influenced the later development of more diverse political strategies in the Maya area in the Postclassic period.

This article explores the relationship between the domestic position of Jewish bourgeois housewives and the larger Swedish, urban landscape at the beginning of the twentieth century. Examining the interior décor, shopping patterns, urban places, and the social, cultural and religious aspects of the domestic spheres of Irene Strauss and Jeannette Ettlinger, this article argues that they consciously used public spaces to establish their individual practices of Jewishness. By entering the gendered space of the Jewish home, accessible through private letters and receipts, this article portrays the bourgeois women as actors with social and economic power. They produced public spaces that communicated either cultural integration or orthodox distinctiveness, thereby constructing diverse strategies for Swedish belonging. These strategies demonstrate the growing religious, social and cultural diversity within the Jewish community in Stockholm during the three last decades before the Second World War.

The article presents the method of metaphors as a modern effective method that involves neurodynamic mechanisms of personal reflection on current life events. The formation, essence and functions of metaphor in psychological and pedagogical work are analyzed. The genesis of the concept "metaphor" reveals the growing dynamics of its use in the social and psychological sciences. It has been active since the mid-1970s, when metaphors became the independent subject of study. Phenomenologically, metaphor is manifested in all spheres of human activity, but the first sphere of its usage is language. Metaphorical language allows a specialist to convey relevant messages to the client in a fairly secure form and unobtrusively suggest solutions to the problem. It is due to this that it makes sense to use metaphor in consultative psychological and pedagogical work. The authors propose to regard the metaphor as a means of obtaining information about the peculiarities of the relationship in the system "parents - child". Depending on the content of the family life situation, metaphors can perform expressive, dissociative, diagnostic, explanatory functions. They are used in individual or group consultations, one can employ the following options: firstly, reading and discussing metaphors (expressed in parables, instructive stories, etc.) together with parents, which helps to establish the atmosphere of trust between a psychologist and parents, and becomes a starting point for discussion of a specific problem of child-parent relations. Second, discussing drawing with metaphors enables parents to be objectively aware of the problem and then work out possible effective behaviors and corrections. Thirdly, it is possible to work with metaphoric cards "Alphabet of parental love", "The wisest time", "All the facets of harmony", "Steps to wisdom", "Treasures of vital forces" and so on. Understanding the content of a card requires parents to think, feel and remember. In a state of reflexive calm, they can remember life situations, moments of difficulties in the relationship with their child. The article provides examples of metaphors and gives methodological commentary on the work of psychologists and social educators with them. Thus, the competent use of metaphorization in the counseling process can accompany the work of a psychologist and social educator from the moment of gathering information to the implementation of the last behavioral check of the performed intervention

The social, economic and religious pressures encountered by Eastern European Jews who emigrated to North America have been well documented. But focus on these areas has mostly failed to take into account the relationship between Orthodox Judaism and the process of adaptation to the New World. At the turn of the century, Orthodox rabbis, immigrants themselves, actively wrestled with the competing demands of Orthodox tradition and modern society. One such rabbi, Judah (Yudel) Rosenberg, brought with him to Canada a background combining both traditional Hasidism and secular learning. Rosenberg sought to draw the people closer to tradition by making it more accessible to them. Mysticism, especially, he viewed as the key to the preservation and regeneration of Judaism amongst a population that found it easier to make excuses than to follow the letter of religious law.
