The article analyze current situation of the electric meter reading system, and given circuit of the remote automatic meter reading based on single-chip system model, and introduced in detail the key part of data acquisition, data concentrator and the monitoring center software, hardware implementation. The wiring complexity of the project has been reduced by using the technology of RS485 communication for data transmission, which has been improved the reliability of data communication system, and reduced power consumption. The results show that the terminal is normal and reliable.

While large-scale smart electricity meters are going to be applied, it is difficult to solve the problem of acquisition data of smart electricity meters and in order to design a convenient installation and maintenance, low power consumption and reliable data collection terminal, a design of wireless data acquisition system base on wireless network is proposed according to the development of wireless technology. The system used CC2430 as the core controller to process power data and performs intelligent control. Using the technology of Zigbee short-range wireless communication for data transmission, the wiring complexity of the project has been reduced, the reliability of data communication has been improved, and power consumption has been reduced. The results show that the terminal is normal and reliable.

<p align="justify">In the recent years, the data communication system become the main type of communication in the world. The FSK modulator or demodulator is one of the part that becomes the most important part and extremely advanced with the involvement of microwave active and passive circuits. This paper presents the data transmission analysis using MW-5000 at 5.8 GHz frequency. This experiment use the microwave communication module MW-5000 that is available in electronic laboratory. From this experiment the duration taken for the transmission of data is depend on the length of sentence and the value of baud rate.</p>

AbstractThe communication system of a microgrid can transfer the information of electricity price, power consumption and so on between users and the control centre. This capability is of great significance to improve the efficiency and sustainability of power facilities. In this paper, a bidirectional DC–AC converter topology is proposed to achieve the composite transmission of power and signals in microgrids. Since the transmitted signals are modulated by power switches of converters and integrated into the currents, the cost of signal couplers can be saved and the circuit structure can be simplified. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed method, a simulation model of the proposed converter is implemented in MATLAB/Simulink. With the power supply frequency of 50 Hz, when the converter operates in the inverter mode and rectifier mode, the data transmission rate can reach 120 bit/s and 48 bit/s, respectively.

In this paper, we implement a voice data communications between sender and receiver through Wi-Fi. The system was designed and implemented using network stream protocol which was developed by National Instruments on Lab-VIEW between two devices. The device which acts as the sender was My-RIO board and the receiver device was Personal Computer. The voice data communication system was tested by observing the effect of various buffer sizes on the throughput, latency and CPU usage. The result showed that the larger the buffer size being used, the throughput values were also getting bigger. However, particular buffer size made the throughput became saturated. The change on the buffer size also directly affects CPU usage. It seemed that the buffer size did not affect latency significantly. It showed that the latency was stable with an average of 13 milliseconds on voice data transmission.

As a kind of wireless communication, Infrared wireless data communication has been developing rapidly and has been widely used in the close wireless data communication. In this paper, there is the design and achievement of infrared communication system, which has realized the short distance transmission of voice and digital signal (temperature signal). The modem part of the system is implemented by the phase locked circuit composed of LM567. At the same time, with the single chip processor as the core, the temperature information which has been encoded is added to the audio signal and then to be transmitted to the receiver to be decoded to restore the temperature information. After the test of implementation, this system can transmit the speech signal and digital signal directly and the voice signal received has no obvious distortion. This system is simple in making and has a good application prospect.

The primary objective of this paper is to develop reconfigurable DSP architectures for the filter banks in speech processor of CI with the following features like minimized area of the filter, reduced power consumption of the speech processor and enhanced presentation of the filter. This paper involves the design and hardware implementation of narrow band pass FIR filter for speech processor of CI using the Xilinx System Generator (XSG) tool on Virtex 7 FPGA.

According to the current national conditions and the intelligent communities’ requirements on the electric energy metering system based on the broadband power line communication (PLC), this paper introduces a design program for achieving the remote meter reading through the broadband PLC technology. The system takes the high-performance single chip microcomputer and the Ethernet controller RTL8019AS as the core, the low-voltage power line as the medium of data communication, and makes the electronic meters access to the Ethernet via the broadband power line, thereby achieving the remote automatic meter reading. The multi-functional low-voltage power line remote meter reading system constituted by this system and the backstage management system together will have broad application prospects. In addition, this paper also makes a preliminary study on the reliability of the meter reading system.
