In this study, the effect of the gel coat composition on tensile strength of glass fibre reinforced polyester (GFRP) composites was evaluated. The experiments were conducted on various gel coat composition and time. Samples were immersed in sea and river water for 6 months to investigate the differences in tensile strength. Optical observation using SEM on the composites surface and comparative analysis in terms of tensile strength were used before and after immersing. As results, the most excellent tensile strength was the gel coat composition consisting of 0.3 kg of reolosil QS-102 with 10 kg of resin SHCP 268BQTN with a value of 51.9 MPa. Tensile strength reduced about 33.4 % compared to other sample where reduced to 46.3401 %. The difference in the composite surface as a result of immersion process on each sample was also discussed in this paper.

Glass fibre reinforced polyester composites (GRP) and hybrid nanoclay and glass fibre reinforced polyester nanocomposites (CGRP) are fabricated by vacuum assisted resin infusion technique. The optimum mechanical properties are obtained for CGRP with 3 wt.% nanoclay. Three types of drills (carbide twist drill D 5407060, HSS twist drill BS-328, and HSS end mill (4 flutes “N”-type end mill RH-helical flute)) of 6 mm diameters are used to drill holes on GRP and CGRP. Three different speeds (600, 852, and 1260 rpm) and two different feeds (0.045, 0.1 mm/rev) are selected as process parameters. The effect of process parameter on thrust force and delamination during drilling CGRP is analyzed for optimizing the machining parameters. The delamination factor is low for the optimum process parameter (feed = 0.1 mm/rev and speed 852 rpm). Microstructural analysis confirms that at higher feeds, delamination is low for CGRP drilled with carbide tools. In order to analyze the effect of nanoclay in CGRP on tool wear, 200 holes were drilled on CGRP samples with 3 wt.% nanoclay, and the tool wear is analyzed under optimized parametric condition. Tool wear is high in HSS twist drill compared with carbide drill. The presence of nanoclay also accelerates the tool wear.

Depression is a mood disorder that is generally characterized by hopelessness, excessive helplessness, and lack of enthusiasm for life. Starting from stress that is not overcome, then a person can fall into a phase of depression. This study aims to look at the effect of providing music therapy in reducing depression in the elderly before and after being given a commitment. To achieve this goal, this study uses a quasi-experimental method (Quasi Experiment). The type of research design used is Quasi Experiment with one group pretest and posttest design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling where participants based on population criteria obtained a sample of 16 people. Data collection methods using tests with a scale measuring instrument namely Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) consisting of 30 item questions, observation methods and interview methods .. Based on data analysis it was concluded that the results obtained were Man Whitney Test U = 0.500 with a value of p = 0.001 ( p <0.01) where the mean ranks on the gain score is 12.44 and the sum of ranks is 99.50, this shows the difference in effectiveness of the effects of music therapy before and after treatment and to test the difference in levels of depression before and after being given music therapy using Wilcoxon Sign Rank test analysis . the results obtained z value = -2.539 with a value of p = 0.11 (p <0.01) so that it can be concluded that there are differences in changes in the level of depression in the elderly before and after given treatment.

The aim of this research work is to study the mechanical behaviour of dry triaxially braided glass fibre sleeves and its composites experimentally and analytically. The braided glass fibre sleeves for three angles 30°, 45° and 60° were fabricated on a modified maypole vertical braider following a regular braid architecture. Tensile, flexural, short beam shear and impact tests were performed to evaluate the mechanical properties of the composites. A numerical model was developed, which can be used to find the elastic properties and mechanical strength values of the dry braided fabric and its composites. It was observed that the tensile, flexural and interlaminar properties of 30° specimens were more compared to 45° and 60°. The difference between the estimated and experimental values were found to be an average of 8% for tensile moduli and 24% for the tensile strength.

Abstract Fishing trials were carried out to compare the relative fishing efficiency of gillnets made of a new biodegradable resin (polybutylene succinate co-adipate-co-terephthalate, PBSAT) with conventional (nylon) nets. The fishing trials covered two consecutive fishing seasons (2016 and 2017) for cod (Gadus morhua) and saithe (Pollachius virens) in northern Norway. Results generally showed better catch rates for the nylon gillnets. The biodegradable PBSAT gillnets caught 50.0% and 26.6% fewer cod, and 41.0% and 22.5% fewer saithe than the nylon gillnets in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Even though the relative catch efficiency of the biodegradable gillnets was slightly better in 2017 than in 2016, the difference with respect to the catch efficiency of nylon gillnets may be too large for biodegradable gillnets to be accepted by fishermen if they were available commercially. Tensile strength measurements of the nylon and biodegradable PBSAT gillnets carried out before and after the fishing trials showed that the both types of gillnets had significant reductions in tensile strength and elongation at break, especially in 2017. Although less catch efficient than nylon gillnets, biodegradable PBSAT gillnets show great potential for reducing ghost fishing and plastic pollution at sea, which are major problems in these fisheries.

One of the tasks of the development of children aged 11-15 years is to think in a more abstract and logical way and more idealistic thinking. This ability to think will be disrupted if teenagers have difficulty concentrating during learning. Therefore we need a method that is fun and can make children relax in learning so that they can concentrate their concentration on ongoing learning. One method that can be used is the Murrotal Al-Qur'an therapy. The aim of the study was to determine whether there was any effect of murottal therapy on the concentration of students at Muara Enim 2 MTsN. This study used a quasi-experimental design with the design of the one group pretest posttest. The sample used was all students of class VIII.G at MTsN 2 Muara Enim. The results showed that the average concentration score of class VIII.G students before Murottal therapy was given was 10.84 with a standard deviation of 3.043. While the average concentration score of class VIII.G students after being given murottal therapy was 17.90 with a standard deviation of 1.233, so that the difference in mean concentration scores before and after murottal therapy was 7.06 with a standard deviation of 1.81. Wilcoxon signed ranks test obtained ρ value = 0,000, with a value of α = 0.05 (p <0.05), this shows that there is a significant difference between the concentration of students before and after being given murottal therapy. It is expected that the school can make a policy about the application of murottal therapy in increasing student concentration.

Breast cancer is a disease with characterized by uncontrolled development of cells and breast tissue. Women who has to use acceptors Hormonal contraception (Hormonal KB) has a risk of developing breast cancer. Self Breast Examination (BSE) or Periksa Payudara Sendiri (SADARI) is one of the easier and more efficient ways to be able to detect breast abnormalities by yourself. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of health education by demonstration methods and leaflet media on breast self-examination of the knowledge and attitudes of WUS hormonal family planning acceptors about SADARI. This study was a quasi experiment: pretest-posttest design. The population was divided into 3 groups, namely groups given health education with leaflets, with demonstration methods, and a combination of leaflets + demonstrations. The results showed that the knowledge and attitudes of respondents before and after health education with leaflet media, demonstration methods, and leaflet + demonstration media combinations experienced a significant increase with a value of p <0.05 (p = 0,000). The increase score in the value of the average rating of knowledge was statistically significant in the demonstration group better than the leaflet group. The difference in the average value of the demonstration and demonstration group rankings + leaflets is not meaningful.
