At present, in terms of the architectural heritage protection, the rapid development of Chinese economics and the accelerating urbanization process have caused a great deal of "constructive destructions" to the architectural heritage and have accelerated its demise. In order to change the situation and to deepen the people's understanding to the value of the architectural heritage, the paper will make further analysis and research on the culture value and economics value from the view of cultural economics and then give the architectural heritage the third-largest value -- social value. The ultimate goal is to establish the architectural heritage value system so as to promote the protection and the sustainable development of the architectural heritage.

Architectural heritages, especially heritages of tourism, were destroyed in the process of urban reconstruction of China because of lacking protection from stakeholders. Therefore, there is an urgent need to identify the critical stakeholders to perform the responsibility of protection. The paper, focusing on architectural heritage of tourism, aims to identify the most important stakeholders for making them realize their critical roles in maintaining architectural heritages. Moreover, this paper also aims to evaluate the enthusiasm of stakeholders. As a result, the stakeholders with high importance and enthusiasm would be the critical stakeholders in maintaining architectural heritages. Thirteen stakeholders were selected through comprehensive literature review and the reality of China. A questionnaire survey was conducted with the qualified respondents in Mainland China. A five-point Likert scale and other statistical methods were used for achieving the results of evaluation. The findings demonstrated local government, central government, real estate development enterprise, expert groups, administration of architectural heritage protection, and construction company of architectural heritage are considered as the critical stakeholders for the sustainable development (SD) of architectural heritage of tourism. Finally, some helpful implications were introduced for improving the efficiency of participation and cooperation among all stakeholders.

Constructing the Qinghai–Tibet Railway (QTR) was a landmark project and was beneficial to the sustainable development of the Third Pole. To understand the sustainable development of remote regions by the provision of railway, we studied the QTR’s impact on accessibilities and economic linkages for four cities in the Third Pole, Xining, Golmud, Nagqu, and Lhasa, and between these four cities and 29 capital cities in mid-eastern China. First, employing average shortest travel time (ASTT) and weighted average travel time (WATT) as indicators, we calculated the railway-based accessibilities for June 2006 and January 2013. Then, using a gravity model, railway-based economic linkages were determined. The results demonstrate that: (i) ASTT for Xining–Golmud decreased by 4.14 h from June 2006 to January 2013. Both ASTT and WATT indicated that the accessibilities of the four cities and between these four cities and 29 capital cities in mid-eastern China improved significantly, and the spatial disparity in accessibility for the four cities decreased, which increased the balance and sustainability of the transportation system; (ii) the average contribution rate of the QTR to improving economic linkages for six routes among the four cities was 25.29%, with the Xining–Nagqu and Nagqu–Lhasa linkages improving most significantly; (iii) the QTR strengthened economic linkages between the four cities and mid-eastern cities. Because of the QTR, the economic linkages between the four cities and 29 capital cities increased 27.58% on average. The spatial disparity in interurban economic linkages also decreased. Transporting products from Tibet should be promoted to strengthen the sustainability of economic growth.

This paper describes the status and characteristic of loss of hotels employees according to the investigation datum of personnel' demission interview in one hotel of Shenzhen,and dissects the main reason why employees leave their posts by adopting Maslow’s demand level theory.

As a historical and cultural city, Pingyao has become the focus of domestic and foreign tourists’ concern. However, with the rapid development of tourism, the ancient city of Pingyao is also required to be developed and protected. As a positive response to low-carbon economic model, developing low-carbon tourism is necessary and feasible. With favorable geographical conditions and high attention to policy, through advocating low-carbon tourism consciousness of consumers, developing new products of low-carbon tourism, providing facilities of low-carbon tourism, improving the quality of managers and rationally plan and manage scenic spots, developing low-carbon tourism will provide the new support for the sustainable development of the ancient city.

This article aims at analysing the financial and organizational mechanisms of the third sector, namely the non-profit organisations (NPOs) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). In addition, it focuses on the sustainable development of non-profit and non-governmental organizations. The paper shows that in order to achieve sustainable development and embark upon the path of the “green economy”, NPOs and NGOs need to apply effective financial and organisational mechanisms that would also coincide with their regional priorities and socio-economic objectives that would take into account the environmental specifics and priorities of the given region. The article draws various examples and case studies from various countries and regions around the world to prove its points and provide some guidelines for relevant stakeholders and regulators.

The world economy as an integrated system has limited growth limits, natural resources are limited, so a new concept of sustainable economic development has emerged, based on a balance of the economy, social goals and ecology. Sustainable development is the development of the country's economy and the global system in which current needs are met without compromising future opportunities. The rapid development of transport infrastructure creates the prerequisites for the sustainable development of centers of macro and microeconomic growth and helps to reveal their potential in the future. The article considers the role of transport as an additional priority for sustainable development at the macro level and the types / functions of connectivity of economic growth centers in the sectoral and regional aspects. In turn, the concept of sustainable development of the transport system involves taking into account the features of the transport system as an object of increased danger and a high degree of influence on the main priorities of sustainable development (economic growth, social system and ecology) of the macroeconomics. It was noted that, on the one hand, the transport system, being part of the country's macroeconomic system, affects the priorities of its sustainable development, and on the other hand, has independent priorities for sustainable development in the field of economic growth and efficiency, social potential and environmental aspects, including issues of ensuring security.

This is the third of three conferences over the past year focused on the effects of digital technologies on the cultures of the Southeast Asian nations for which I have been invited to deliver a talk. The first time was related to the roles of cultural heritage in the 4.0 industrial revolution. The second reexamined culture after the digital turn. This time, the task is articulating art, design, and education to reinforce cultural sustainability in the disruptive era. Hence, I propose to reflect on the growing recognition of the linkages between biological and cultural diversity, particularly in terms of the sustainable development paradigm. In view of that, I want to invite everyone to consider the potentials of AMDAL Kebudayaan (cultural environmental impact assessment) in policies and in application. The latest McKenzie Global Energy Outlook predicts that by 2030, new energy prices will be lower than existing coal and natural gas prices in most regions; by 2035, new energy sources (solar energy and wind energy) will account for more than 50% of the world’s electricity generation. The global new energy industry will continue to accelerate in the future after years of its rapid development. Compared to the past, China’s new energy industry has become an important industry leader instead of industry followers a decade ago. However, under the past achievements and carbon neutral constraints, China’s new energy industry still needs to be strengthened and completed in the policies and regulations, absorption mechanism, technical research and development to promote the sustainable development of China’s new energy industry.

Humanity development through education is an important method of sustainable development. This guarantees community development at present time without any negative effects in the future and also provides prosperity for future generations. E-learning is a natural development of the educational tools in this era and current circumstances. Thanks to the rapid development of computer sciences and telecommunication technologies, this has evolved impressively. In spite of facilitating the educational process, this development has also provided a massive amount of learning resources, which makes the task of searching and extracting useful learning resources difficult. Therefore, new tools need to be advanced to facilitate this development. In this paper we present a new algorithm that has the ability to extract the main topics from textual learning resources, link related resources and generate interactive dynamic knowledge graphs. This algorithm accurately and efficiently accomplishes those tasks no matter how big or small the texts are. We used Wikipedia Miner, TextRank, and Gensim within our algorithm. Our algorithm’s accuracy was evaluated against Gensim, largely improving its accuracy. This could be a step towards strengthening self-learning and supporting the sustainable development of communities, and more broadly of humanity, across different generations.
