A management method of scheduling the parking spaces in adjacent parking lot uniformly has been proposed to solve the growing problem of parking pressure caused by the increasing number of motor vehicles in cities. This method uses GSM network to collect the parking space’s status in adjacent parking lots, receives SMS or web query from owners, and shows the messages of each parking lot to them. Users could avoid the busy parking lots to parking their cars in the free parking lots relatively due to the query information, and can also obtain the right of parking spaces by appointment. The rock-bottom detection of each slave node by master node via RS485, Mater nodes transfer the detection messages to management system via GSM. The result shows this design could make use of existing parking resources. It is a good way to solve the problem of ‘Parking hard’.

The parking systems in the modern age are under tremendous stress as the number of vehicles on the roads are increasing every year. Due to this increase, the current parking lots do not suffice which leads to people driving for parking spaces thus wasting valuable time and adding to the greenhouse emissions. Therefore, new efficient and innovative solutions need to be developed which meets the ever- increasing demand for parking spaces and be as environmentally friendly as possible. The solution devised in this project is an enhancement of the current parking system with an integrated mobile application which allow drivers to remotely monitor parking lots, make reservation for a spot prior to visiting the parking lot and make in app payments for the parking services. This reduces the time spent in looking for parking spots as well as reduces the unnecessary carbon emissions while offering a practical and seamless parking experience to the users.

Existing parking management approaches do not consider specific requirements, priorities, user comfort, or modes of use when allocating a parking spot in a large park. As a result, vehicles carrying multiple passengers but staying for a limited period often have to drive further, searching for a parking spot, which increases fuel consumption, emissions, waste of time, and discomfort of users due to extra walking distance. In this paper, we consider the need for both sustainability and comfortable livings in a future smart city and propose an adaptive-optimal scheme that takes advantage of parking efficiency based on the passenger information and flexibly provides the optimal parking spot to the individual. We presume that the management system has information about the number of users, user priority, and expected stay time when a car arrives or a parking request is made. The best parking slot is assigned based on the available parking slots and the given objectives, such as the shortest travel distance inside the parking zone for a low pollution, the shortest walking distance per user, or a combination of both with some trade-off. The decision process is fine-tuned using parking data obtained from a model of a large car park of a shopping complex, and the results of the proposed scheme are compared with other schemes. The findings indicate that overall time spent in the parking lot, as well as individual walking and travel distances, have significantly improved.

As the development of the society and economy, more and more cars are used in the people life. Parking the car in a busy mall is often frustrated for us due to lack of the parking spaces. The problems mainly consist of two aspects. First, when we go to the destination, we do not know where the parking lot is and how many parking spaces is free. We have to spend a lot of time to find a parking lot. Besides, the parking lot usually is great, it is difficult for us to find the free space efficiently. Traditional solutions are implemented based on the TCP/IP networks or sensor network. TCP/IP solutions often require a lot on the infrastructure. Solutions with sensor network can not navigate the driver precisely. In this paper, we propose a novel parking management system with RFID and sensor networks, which can not only detect and locate the free parking space quickly, but also navigate the car to the parking space effectively. Our experiment shows that the proposed system is desirable for us to use in the life.

Along with the increase of the number of motor vehicles in urban areas, the relatively backward parking lot management has resulted in many problems such as the difficulty of parking and chaos management. In this paper, a RFID-based vehicle intelligent management system is designed, and its system structure, working flow and software design idea are also introduced in details. This intelligent vehicle management system is cored at ultrahigh RFID (radio frequency identification device), in which legal vehicles are unnecessary to stop in entering and exiting, and also all identification and judgment are automatically implemented by the system from a remote distance.

The increasing number of vehicles around the globe increases the parking problem. Parking of vehicle in front of the house or in the basement of shopping mall, consumes a lot of time and energy of the driver. Additionally, the emission of extra CO2 is adding to the environmental cause globally. So here, author has proposed a solution of mentioned problem. An Automated Parking Management System (APMS) is proposed here that dynamically detect the vacant parking slots. This interface will provide the facility of advance booking through which the user can book a parking slot in advance to avoid last moment rush. The user can also locate, view the nearest empty parking lot in advance and plan his/her journey accordingly. The proposed work is done with the help of sensors that will fetch the data dynamically from the parking slots (whether they are vacant, occupied or waiting) with the help of raspberry pie. The retrieved data is interfaced by an android application that will then show the status of the slots. Apart from mentioned advantages, this work also addresses the environmental concerns due to CO2 emission. In short, through this application user will get a safe and secure vacant parking slot without any hustle and wastage of time

Parking management has always been a major concern for universities and other activity centers. Nowadays, many universities are suffering from a lack of campus parking capacity. To tackle this problem, it is necessary to take parking lots assignment into consideration, regarding intercampus users’ needs. These users have different ages, physical characteristics, expectations, and administrative positions that should be considered before any parking assignment. Here, a new method is proposed to optimize parking lots management for those universities where staff (academic and administrative), in contrast to students, are allowed to park inside the campus area. For this purpose, first, the probability of using a specific parking lot by each group is determined. For staff, this is done based on their choices, revealed by the relative frequency of using parking lots. This probability for students can be calculated using a fuzzy inference system model. To develop the model, a survey is conducted to extract students’ preferences, regarding parking spaces assignment inside the campus area. Afterward, an integer linear programming model with the objective function of maximizing parking probability is employed, considering several related constraints. The proposed model is applied to Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman (SBUK), Iran, as the case study. According to the results, it can be concluded that the proposed method can help to reduce wandering time of finding an appropriate parking space for both staff and students. In addition, the proposed application can help increase the satisfaction level of staff and students with regard to parking management.

In that way the system achieves the automation of management and charge. In addition, this paper has also introduced RFID hardware components, operating principle, installation method of readers and control equipment (PC) in the parking site, system software design, development processes of software data acquisition in detail.

This work is to perceive the open space in the halting reach using PLC and SCADA. The rule target is to recognize the unfilled space and demonstrating the driver to a particular opening. This paper tries to layout and execute an electronic stopping region organization structure. Robotized Parking Lot Management System is a totally utilitarian and painstakingly controlled parking structure organization system that is executed with the usage and compromise of different electronic equipment and littler scale figuring. The layout incorporates assorted stages, from the rule unit; process is passed on to different subunits to achieve the target of full motorization. A moving toward auto will pass on (through the driver) remotely with the essential unit associated with the Parking Office Gate. The essential unit will check the transmitted access information and will pass control after affirmation to the gateway framework drivers, this in this way drives the right entryway control (either exit or segment unit). The system currently screens the development of the driver some time later, and for entry, as the driver moves a destined eparation into the workplace ,the system turns back the entryway segment (for finish of entryway) and passes control to the space part and organization unit. The objective of this later unit is to manage the parking spaces available in the package by watching the development of the automobiles inside, allocating the spaces in a precise manner, watching consistence what's more, prompt the general control center (watched out for) of the space(s) open. It has a show interface for talking with the customers of the workplace. There is in like manner a control center that is watched out for by work power and screens the activities inside the parking structure. It is educated regarding any development, space(s) open and moreover the general system can be shut down or changed on from the control center. The basic goal of this errand is to achieve full motorization and it will find snappy use in tremendous workplaces with different access restrictions, government properties, and school grounds to sectionalize educator's auto stop and understudy's auto stop, etc.
