The adjustment and durability test of steering column is an important parameter for automobiles safety, but the unified standard and test method is not yet formed. To solve the shortcomings of the traditional testers, such as less-automated, few test item, low universalness and weak ability of data report generation, this paper design a new test machine for the adjustment and durability of automobiles steering column on the basis of advanced foreign standards and test method. The test result indicated that this test machine embodies the characteristic of easy operation, stable function, and wide suitability, which improves the measurement accuracy and efficiency.

The dynamic load strength test of automotive BIW is an important parameter for vehicle passive safety, but different test standards, different test requirements, which caused much trouble to the test authority. To solve the shortcomings of the traditional machines, such as low automation, poor universality and weak ability of data processing, this paper designs a new test machine for the dynamic load strength trials of automotive BIW on the basis of three typical standards. The test results indicated that this test machine embodies the characteristic of easy operation, stable function, and wide suitability, which improves the measurement accuracy and efficiency, at the same time, solves the problem of the database construction.

In order to determine the fatigue limits of two kinds of titanium alloy pipes connected by welding and rolling, fatigue tests were carried out by the Aero-Criterion which gives vibration fatigue test method and failure criteria. A laser-displacement-sensor was used at the free end and a strain-gauge at the root of the pipe specimen. The test result shows that the fatigue limit of the welded pipe is higher than the rolled one. In the end some new findings are listed according to the test.

The optical quartz glass is widely applied in optical system , photo communications,inertial navigation,etc.It must have high optical homogeneity. Optical homogeneity of the optical quartz glass directly affects the wavefront quality of the optical transmission system, and changes the wavefront aberration of the system. How to accurately determine the optical homogeneity of the quartz glass is especially important. Currently,the method of test for optical homogeneity mainly used by interference principle. This paper analyzes various existing interference measurement method and test equipment. Summarized the advantages and disadvantages of various test methods,using range and measurement accuracy.

Learning and teaching are the most important activities in the whole educational process. This implies that the success or failure of the educational goals depends on how to design the teaching and learning process (learning) professionally. The success of the learning process cannot be separated from the preparation of students and the preparation of educators. In learning activities, methods are needed for educators and their use varies according to the goals to be achieved after teaching ends. An educator will not be able to carry out his duties if he does not master any of the teaching methods that have been formulated. The methods used in data collection are the observation method and the test method. The data analysis used was the instrument validity test, the normality test and the homogeneity test. The results of the research carried out proved that student learning outcomes before and after using the jigsaw method could be seen from the average pre-test scores of 62.00 and 76.60 post-test results. The pre-test result value is lower than the post-test score, so it means that there are differences in student learning outcomes before and after using the jigsaw method in the learning process.The percentage of the completeness criteria of the pre-test result value is 28%, while the posttest result score is 68%. From this data, it can be seen that using the jigsaw method can affect student learning outcomes. Hypothesis testing using the Product Moment Correlation test and Paired Sample T-test with the help of SPSS 20 software in the sig (2-tailed) section is known to be 0.000 <0.05. As the basis for decision making in the Product Moment Correlation test anddecision guidelines based on the probability value, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that the jigsaw method can affect the improvement of learning outcomes of class V Islamic Religious Education at MI Muhammadiyah 09 Kranji Lamongan

To study the debonding of concrete filled steel tube (CFST), pulling and bending methods were used to test the normal bond strength. Based on the test result, debonding due to temperature change and shrinkage of core concrete in CFST was analyzed. The test and analysis result shows that the bending method is a better test method; the concrete strength has little influence on bond strength while the surface condition of steel has much influence on it. The bond strength of steel which is rust is greater than that of the steel with smooth surface. According to the analysis on the bending test result, the normal bond strength of 0.86MPa was got and the debonding of CFST arch was analyzed, the analysis result shows that debonding will easily happen under the action of temperature change and shrinkage of core concrete. The test methods and results can provide a reference for engineering applications.

Based on the motion characteristics of mechanical oscillating parts, a wear test machine is developed with single drive biaxial rotational oscillating, which can effectively simulate multiaxial rotational oscillation of mechanical oscillating parts and take different kinds of friction couplings wear test. Based on this design, the tribological property of easy wearing material in mechanical oscillating parts is studied and corresponding sphere-block test method is established. Pilot test and demonstration are taken to evaluate the sphere-block test method from feasibility, practicality, reliability and economy aspects. The results are meeting test requirements of tribological property under the condition of composite motion.

AbstractWater tunnels built for hydropower passing through weak and heterogeneous rock mass pose challenges associated to slaking and disintegration, as they are first exposed to dry condition during excavation and are then filled with water to produce hydropower energy. Over the period of operational life, these tunnels are drained periodically for inspections and repair leading to drainage and filling cycles. The weakening of rock mass caused by cycles of drying, saturation and drainage may lead to the propagation of instabilities in the tunnels. Therefore, it is important to study the slaking and disintegration behavior of the weak rock mass consisting of clay and clay-like minerals. This paper assesses the mineralogical composition of flysch and serpentinite from the headrace tunnel of Moglicë Hydropower Project in Albania. Further, to determine the slaking and disintegration behavior of these rocks, extensive testing using both the ISRM, Int J Rock Mech Min Sci Geomech Abstr 16(2):143-151, (1979) suggested test method and a modified variant of this test are performed. Finally, comprehensive assessments, discussions and comparisons are made. It is found that the modified slake durability test better suits for the tunnels built as water conveying systems such as hydropower tunnels.

This paper details work undertaken towards the development of a standard test method for the biaxial response of planar cruciform specimens manufactured from carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) laminates and subject to tension-tension loading. Achieving true biaxial failure in a cruciform specimen without the need for the inclusion of a stress raiser, such as a hole, in the gauge-section, is a subject attracting much research globally and is by no means a trivial exercise. Coupon designs were modelled using finite element analysis (FEA) in order to predict the stress and strain distributions in the central region of the specimen. An Instron biaxial strong-floor test machine was used to test the specimens. Strain gauges were used to measure the strain in the specimen arms and to assess the degree of bending. Digital image correlation (DIC) was used to measure the full-field strain distribution in the central gauge-section of the specimen and this was compared to values measured using strain gauges. The strain readings obtained from strain gauges, DIC and FEA predictions were in good agreement and showed that the strain distribution was uniform in the central gauge-section, but that strain concentrations existed around the tapered thickness zone. These regions of strain concentration resulted in interlaminar failure and delamination of the laminate propagating into the specimen arms.

In this paper, the scattering measuring principle of turbidity is introduced firstly. The new type of turbidity sensor probe designed in this paper overcomes the deficiencies of existing technologies, which has higher sensitivity, strong anti-interference and can detect the turbidity accurately and continuously. The system designed with the core of MCU C8051F020 is presented. Then the design of turbidity sensor probe, data acquisition, processing and non-linear compensation are introduced in detail. Besides, in order to eliminate the impact of temperature on the turbidity measurement and improve the measurement accuracy, temperature measurement circuit has been designed. Test results have shown that the designed on-line turbidity-meter has some advantages: low price, high precision, easy operation etc. It can be widely applied in the fields of waterworks, industrial production, aquaculture, environmental protection and so on
