One difficulty in teaching service courses such as Psychology of Adolescence is maintaining the interest of nonmajors without sacrificing course-relevant content. A course project that is helpful in overcoming this problem is described. The project requires students to observe some type of media (e.g., television) and determine the extent to which particular themes occur. The three crucial features of each project are that the students: (a) consider as aspect of the media that is relevant to some portion of the course material, (b) set up clearly defined categories, and (c) count the number of observed instances of those categories. There are pitfalls to consider, as well as advantages and disadvantages of various approaches to the project.

Abstract Science instruction with conceptual material is often less attractive to students. It’s considered less attractive and difficult to understand than it’s necessary to develop interactive learning media for instruction. This study aims to develop the media and see its effect on increasing student interest in science instruction by using the Encyclopedia of Classification of Living Things through the demonstration method. This research was conducted on grade VII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah 4 Ponorogo in the 2019/2020 school year. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research. Data collection by filling out a questionnaire to measure students' interest in instruction. The results showed that there was an increase in student interest in instruction after using the Encyclopedia Media of Classification of Living Things. The average value obtained from before instruction was 74.76 while the average score obtained of post instruction was 75.52. Based on the analysis of these data, it can be concluded that there is an increase in student interest in science instruction by using encyclopedia media in classification of living things material. Background and Objective. One of the challenges that social studies presents to teachers in class is the lack of students’ interest in the material. This study aims to develop snakes and ladders learning media for use in the subject of social studies in elementary school. Method. The research design used is the Four-D Research and Development (R&D) model by Thiagarajan (Santoso & Albaniah). The criteria used as a reference for the effectiveness of the learning media are students’ participation, interest, and learning outcomes, whereas for the practicality, the criteria are the implementation and teachers’ ability to use the learning media. The research employed descriptive statistics analysis and inductive-deductive flow analysis. Results. The results show that the snakes and ladders learning media on social studies appear to be valid and practical, and can effectively improve elementary school students’ interest and learning outcomes. The learning media is considered valid based on the experts’ validation with average 4.3 (good). The effectiveness of this learning media meets the criteria: (1) student participation in the learning process is high and (2) student learning outcomes meet the minimum learning mastery standard average at 79.04 of the ideal score of 100 and the completeness test of learning outcomes with the probability value of one sample t-test of 0.00 <0.05. The practicality of the learning media is shown through the observation result of the implementation of the media with an average of 4.4 (good), whereas the results of the student interest questionnaire show that of 25 students (92%) responded that they were happy with the subject matter taught, 80% of students responded that they were happy with the learning. Conclusion. The snakes and ladders learning media on social studies can enhance students’ interest and learning outcomes in elementary education.

The application of technology in the form of computer applications as learning media, such as Macromedia Flash 8.0, can be implemented in learning in order to achieve the expected quality of education and learning outcomes. Biology subjects require materials / materials / objects that are sometimes difficult to present in a real class or in front of students, but by using the Macromedia Flash 8.0 application media these objects can be presented and told in an attractive animation form so as to increase student interest and motivation . This study aims to apply learning media with Macromedia Flash 8.0 in biology class X subject and determine the feasibility of the software being developed. This research is a development research conducted in four stages, including: analysis; design; production; and evaluation. Data obtained from a questionnaire and given a score on a scale of 1-5. The results showed that the learning media with Macromedia Flash 8.0 resulted in the quality of learning media based on the results of the material expert's test with a score of 3.85 in a good category, the results of the media expert test had a score of 4.2 in a good category, and the results of testing on users (students) with a score of 4.4 in the very good category. So, it was concluded that the learning media product with the Macromedia Flash 8.0 Program was effective and suitable for use in the Biology learning process for class X ATP students at SMK Ibrahimy 2 Sukorejo
