Hong Kong, one of the global financial centers, was plunged into chaos for almost two months straight from June to July 2019. For eight weeks, demonstrations by the Hong Kong people have been going on and on until they become violent. The demonstration was intended to deny the proposed extradition law, which would allow Hong Kong prisoners, including foreigners, to be extradited to China. The extradition bill is also called to threaten the freedom of local people, to threaten democracy and law in the Hong Kong region. The different political systems between China and Hong Kong make the relationship both vulnerable. As a special region in China, Hong Kong needs to get the attention of the Chinese government by conceding its rights and upholding its systems so that demonstrations need not be too worried. Hong Kong people are making a variety of attempts at demonstration and even some social communication strategies are used to reject the traditional bill. The method used in this study is qualitative deskriftive with case studies of direct observation of sites and several demonstration articles in Hong Kong. As a result of this study, several unique strategies of Hong Kong's demonstrations have been carried out to maintain a message being delivered by another group that the Hong Kong government has even brought attention to the world.

Devotional piety broadly depends on events that are not accessible for direct observation and commonly offer very little, if anything, in the way of historical documentation. Sometimes the experiences to which devotion is directed in the veneration of saints is based on visionary experience for which reports are contradictory. This essay explores ways in which word and image are brought together to anchor evanescent or ephemeral, or entirely uncertain, origins and provide devotion with stable objects. I develop the view that word and image are generatively entangled, meaning that their ambiguous connections with one another are able to produce a medium in which devotion finds a footing. The discussion focuses on two case studies: Our Lady of Fátima and Saint Jude. Fátima is based on a series of apparitions to young children in 1917 and Jude is a historically shadowy figure whose cult underwent a modern revival, in part assisted by new iconographic developments that allowed devotees to link their saint to very old traditions. Lore and imagery work together as forms of saying and seeing that bring elusive origins into focus.

This chapter will summarize contemporary models and methods used for the assessment of adaptive behavior functioning in children and adolescents. This chapter will also emphasize how to best use such assessment information for diagnostic and eligibility purposes and in developing interventions and support plans. We will review the use of traditional, norm-referenced adaptive behavior assessment tools as well as what will be referred to as “supplemental methods,” including the direct observation of adaptive skill functioning. The assessment of adaptive behavior with respect to developmental expectations, cultural expectations, systems of care, and legislation will also be discussed. Lastly, case studies will be presented to illustrate the usefulness of these methods in assessing individuals and planning effective interventions and services.

AbstractModern zoos utilise a variety of education tools for communicating with visitors. Previous research has discussed the benefits of providing multiple education communications, yet little research provides an indication of what communications are being employed within zoos today. This research is a two-phased, mixed-methods investigation into the communication between zoos and their general visitors. Phase 1 involved an online questionnaire to which 176 zoos from 50 countries reported on the types of education communications they typically use for their general visitors. The second phase comprised nine zoo case studies, enabling direct observation and face-to-face interviews on site with zoo staff and zoo visitors. The findings of this research provide a snapshot of education communications offered to zoo visitors, and indicate that zoo exhibit signage remains the most prevalent medium. The findings further indicate that 95% of visitors read at least some exhibit signs and that more than 70% of participating zoos utilise person-to-person education. The implications of these findings for improving zoos’ educational communication are discussed.

Research Question: RQ1: What is fraud? RQ2: Where do we find fraud? It is fraud a multidisciplinary element? Why? Motivation: Most of the literature states that fraud is a topic of great interest, but no one has tried to prove why, but also to show how much interest in publishing about the subject of fraud has increased. Idea: Our study looked at an  international database (Web of Science) to demonstrate the growing interest in studying fraud  in various fields. But we also did a case study presenting a complex case of fraud, discovered by DGAF in Romania. Data: The data were collected from Web of  Science database and an analysis was made based on the 17,825 results found when searching for the word "fraud", and then we also did a case study presenting a complex case of fraud, discovered by DGAF in Romania, collecting data by direct observation of one of the authors. Tools: To test study’s hypotheses, we analyzed the Web of Science database. Findings: The results answer in the affirmative to the research question. Also, the implications of the results are that all actors can outline an overview of the phenomenon, but especially reveals the gaps in the discovery of the phenomenon. Contribution: Most of the literature states that fraud is a topic of great interest, but no one has tried to prove why, but also to show how much interest in publishing about the subject of fraud has increased.

This article explores methods of interviewing and techniques of assessing child incest victims’ credibility through detailed clinical case studies and data collected from direct observation and inquiry of the children themselves. The methodology is designed to elicit emotions connected to the alleged assault, which form an integral part of the credibility criteria used by the author. Comparison between the child's direct statements about being sexually abused and the level of cognitive and psychosocial development attained by the child forms another critical factor in differentiating fact from fantasy of children.

This paper is an exploratory study of the benefits that institutions of higher education can gain when entering into partnerships of academic franchising, an international activity which has been increasing in popularity over the past few decades. The paper looks at the current literature on academic franchising and then goes on to study, through case studies and direct observation, franchising from the perspective of four different institutions in four different countries. The paper reveals that very often there are multiple benefits to be gained which are not necessarily sought when the institutions enter such partnerships. Contrary to previous academic literature the study also reveals that there is a much greater flow of these benefits from one institution to another and thus provides a new richer model that has changed from the 'parent child' model to that of a more evenly balanced model where both partners are benefiting from mutual cooperation.

Kata kunci:  Relasi, Fungsi  dan bentuk, Ekspresi, Sakralitas, Gereja Katolik ABSTRACT: The phenomenon of fading off form “sakralitas” of Catholic Church in the world has worried Paus Benedictus. Evidently, this phenomenon had been happened to Catholic Church in Indonesia, particularly Jakarta. Generally, problem has been occurred from this phenomenon is because there is no well relation between activities function with the form as well as the appearance meaning from that relation. The attraction between these both function and form, will be interpreted by people through direct observation for user as well as architectural researcher. This research will use some methods, firstly, will record liturgy function and form on the conducted churches as case studies then will describe in detail, thus could be analyzed all the existing architecture form. Secondly, will use combination “sakralitas” approach from Eliade, Hoffman, Jones and Martasudjita to explore all activities function, although to identify ornament will use Peirce approach. On the otherhand, to explore form expression will use elaboration from architectural approach of Salura and Evensen. This analysis will be based on to structuralism approach, which will explore the inner structure. Thirdly, after analysis process, all case studies will be compared each other on each study object which known as inner-structure. Fourthly, interpretation of activities relation and sacred conception on study objects. Fifthly,  to conclude the signification of function relational with form sakralitas of church architecture. Therefore, if this building element’s sakralitas exist, then all the church architecture on study objects could be said, they are throwing off the expression of sacred form which full of Catholic’s values.         Keywords:  relation, function and form, expression, sakralitas, Catholic Church
