This learning improvement is carried out by classroom action research, with steps of planning, implementing, observing, revising. The research subjects were 34 students in the chemistry class of Vocational School 1 Cerme Gresik. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of the class average score before the action was 70. Students who scored above the Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC) 76 were 16 students (47%) with the highest score of 92 and students who scored below the MCC were 18 students (53%) with the lowest score of 40. After taking action in cycle 1 the average grade of 79. Students who scored above or equal to the MCC were 26 students (76%) with the highest score of 100 and students who scored below the MCC were 8 students (24%) with the lowest score of 52. Cycle 2 the average grade of 84. Students who scored above the MCC were 31 students (91%) with the highest score of 100, while students who scored below the MCC as many as 3 students (9%) with the lowest score of 64. The purpose of this study was to find a solution to the problem in applying the NHT (Numbered Heads Together) cooperative learning model to improve student learning outcomes in Class XII Social Studies Major of SMA Mathlaul Anwar High School Batujaya Karawang. This study used a classroom action research method. The study was conducted in three cycles and each cycle consists of 4 steps, namely planning, acting/implementing, observing, and reflecting. The results of the study show students' improvement in understanding the legal protection and law enforcement materials after the implementation of NHT cooperative learning model. By using the NHT model, the students find it easier to understand the concepts that used to be considered difficult. Before implementing the model, the understanding level of the students at SMA Mathlaul Anwar Batujaya Karawang was relatively low because some students scores were below the minimum completeness criteria. After the actions in the three cycles were completed, the student learning outcomes increase. The students average score before the treatment was 60.16. It increased to 68.25 in cycle 1, 72.50 in cycle 2, and 80.25 in cycle 3. This increase indicates that the NHT model can help the students improve their understanding. In the learning process using this model, the students feel that they are systematically guided in understanding the materials. Moreover, it helps the students in improving their ability to explain the learning materials and to provide examples on the legal protection and law enforcement materials in the learning process using the NHT cooperative learning model.

This research is a Classroom Action Research about the application of STAD cooperative learning (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) with a contextual approach to increase student activity and learning outcomes. The research was conducted in 3 cycles of action. each cycle consisting of one meeting for 3 learning hours. The research subjects were students of class X MIPA-1 odd semester of the 2016-2017 academic year MA Ihyaul Ulum Dukun Gresik. Student learning activities are measured based on an increase in the average percentage of student learning activities, while student learning outcomes are based on the difference in scores between the pretest and post in each cycle. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the application of STAD cooperative learning with a contextual approach can increase activities and learning outcomes. Increased student learning activities are indicated by an increase in the average percentage of student learning activities and the level of success of actions from 55% (less) in the first cycle and in the second cycle increased to 67% (sufficient), and increased again in the third cycle to 75% (good ) While the increase in student learning outcomes based on the average score difference between pre-test and post-test in the first cycle of 28.7 increased to 34.1 in the second cycle and increased again to 34.6 in the third cycle, while the completeness of student learning in the cycle I amounted to 42% then in second cycle it increased to 62%, and increased again to 73% in third cycle.

The low student learning outcomes in Thematic Learning Theme 1, Sub Theme 2 are caused by several factors, including student activities that are lacking in media that does not exist and the lack of source books for students so that it affects the student's involvement in the learning carried out. In this case the researcher as a class conducted a research entitled "Improving Student Learning Outcomes by Using Visual Media in Thematic Learning (Theme 1 Sub Theme 2) in class I SD Negeri 04 Kaja Pariaman" with the formulation of the problem, namely "Can Visual Media Improve the results? Student Learning in Thematic Learning (Theme 1 Sub Theme 2) in Class I SD Negeri 04 Kaja "The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in learning theme 1 sub theme 2 in class I SD Negeri 04 Kaja." This research was conducted at SD Negeri 04 Kaja in grade I, and was implemented in two cycles. The first cycle consists of two meetings, the second cycle is also held twice. The problems that will be discussed when using this visual media are determined by the teacher as a researcher. After the first cycle using visual media, the results obtained were only at the beginning, namely active students only reached 60%. At the end of the second cycle, there was a significant increase, student learning activities on thematic (Theme 1 Sub Theme 2) and learning outcomes. This can be seen in the ongoing learning and the results of the initial and final tests whose average score is 63 to 88, increases. Thus the use of visual media is very supportive and good in improving student learning outcomes in Thematic learning (Theme 1 Sub Theme 2).
