<p>School bullying is a major diachronic problem of modern society and in recent years it presents considerable intensification, attracting scientific and research attention. The present research studies the victimization due to school bullying of children with disabilities. The aim of the research is to investigate whether the maternal attachment of people with disabilities such as blindness, deafness and motor disability and also of those without disabilities is linked to their victimization or bullying behavior in school, and to highlight the impact of specific demographic characteristics on the possible underlying relationship between maternal attachment and victimization for them. Further, the objectives of the present research include the appraisal of a comparison between individuals with and without disabilities. The research was conducted through a quantitative survey in Greece, to 170 individuals aged between 10 and 21 years of age, with blindness (N=36), deafness (N=38), physical disability (N=50) and without disability (N=50). The results revealed differences between participants with and without disabilities with regard to the type of attachment they have developed with their mothers and to their experiences as victims or offenders of school bullying. The results also demonstrate that there is a correlation between maternal attachment and school bullying behaviors and for certain disability groups mother care and / or mother protection is a predicting factor of these behaviors.</p><p> </p><p> Mobbing in der Schule ist ein großes diachrones Problem der modernen Gesellschaft und hat in den letzten Jahren eine erhebliche Zunahme erfahren, was die Aufmerksamkeit von Wissenschaft und Forschung auf sich zieht. Die vorliegende Studie untersucht die Viktimisierung von Kindern mit Behinderungen durch Mobbing in der Schule. Ziel der Forschung ist es, zu untersuchen, ob die mütterliche Bindung von Menschen mit Behinderungen wie Blindheit, Taubheit und motorischen Behinderungen sowie von Menschen ohne Behinderungen mit ihrem Viktimisierungs- oder Mobbingverhalten in der Schule zusammenhängt, und den Einfluss spezifischer demografischer Merkmale aufzuzeigen über die mögliche zugrunde liegende Beziehung zwischen mütterlicher Bindung und Viktimisierung für sie. Zu den Zielen der vorliegenden Forschung gehört auch die Bewertung eines Vergleichs zwischen Menschen mit und ohne Behinderungen. Die Studie wurde im Rahmen einer quantitativen Umfrage in Griechenland an 170 Personen im Alter zwischen 10 und 21 Jahren mit Blindheit (N=36), Taubheit (N=38), körperlicher Behinderung (N=50) und ohne Behinderung durchgeführt (N=50). Die Ergebnisse zeigten Unterschiede zwischen Teilnehmenden mit und ohne Behinderung hinsichtlich der Art der Bindung, die sie zu ihren Müttern entwickelt haben, und ihrer Erfahrungen als Opfer oder Täter von Mobbing in der Schule. Die Ergebnisse zeigen auch, dass es einen Zusammenhang zwischen mütterlicher Bindung und Mobbing-Verhalten in der Schule gibt und für bestimmte Behindertengruppen die Mutterfürsorge und/oder der Mutterschutz ein Vorhersagefaktor für dieses Verhalten sind.</p><p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/edu_01/0883/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>

Bullying, as an aggressive behavior, has become a common phenomenon among junior high school students. The occurrence of bullying behavior can have a serious negative impact on the mental health of junior high school students. Some students even suffer from psychological problems such as depression and anxiety. Many research results at home and abroad show that personality is an important factor affecting bullying behavior. In this case, this study explores the impact of parental rearing patterns on school bullying behavior. Improving the parenting styles of junior high school students and their parenting level has become an practicable practical approach to prevent the problem of school bullying.

The process of globalization, which many times is considered as new world order is affecting all spheres of modern society but also the media. In this paper specifically we will see the impact of globalization because we see changing the media access to global problems in general being listed on these processes. We will see that the greatest difficulties will have small media as such because the process is moving in the direction of creating mega media which thanks to new technology are reaching to deliver news and information at the time of their occurrence through choked the small media. So it is fair to conclude that the rapid economic development and especially the technology have made the world seem "too small" to the human eyes, because for real-time we will communicate with the world with the only one Internet connection, and also all the information are take for the development of events in the four corners of the world and direct from the places when the events happen. Even Albanian space has not left out of this process because the media in the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo are adapted to the new conditions under the influence of the globalization process. This fact is proven powerful through creating new television packages, written the websites and newspapers in their possession.

Stigmatization is part of the everyday lives of children with disabilities, their families, and their friends. Negative social encounters, even with perfect strangers, can dampen joyful occasions, add stress to challenging situations, and lead to social isolation. This book describes a program of research spanning a decade that seeks to understand disabilities in their developmental and cultural contexts. The authors are especially interested in understanding adults’ socialization practices that promise to reduce stigmatization in the next generation. Guided by developmental cultural psychology, including the concept of “universalism without uniformity,” the authors focus on the understandings and responses to disability and associated stigmatization of elementary-school educators practicing in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the U.S. Educators from all four cultural groups expressed strikingly similar concerns about the impact of stigmatization on the emerging cultural self, both of children with disabilities and their typically developing peers. Educators also described culturally nuanced socialization goals and practices pertaining to inclusive education. In Japan, for instance, educators emphasized the importance of peer group belonging and strategies to support the participation of children with disabilities. In the U.S., educators placed relatively more emphasis on individual development and discussed strategies for the equitable treatment of children with disabilities. Educators in South Korea and Taiwan emphasized the cultivation of compassion in typically developing children. The understanding gained through examination of how diverse individuals address common challenges using cultural resources available in their everyday lives provides important lessons for strengthening theory, policy, and programs.

Bacterioplankton community composition has become the center of research attention in recent years. Bacteria associated with toxic cyanobacteria blooms have attracted considerable interest. However, little is known about the environmental factors driving the bacteria community, including the impact of invasive cyanobacteria. Therefore, our aim has been to determine the relationships between heterotrophic bacteria and phytoplankton community composition across 24 Polish lakes with different contributions of cyanobacteria including the invasive species Raphidiopsis raciborskii. This analysis revealed that cyanobacteria were present in 16 lakes, while R. raciborskii occurred in 14 lakes. Our results show that bacteria communities differed between lakes dominated by cyanobacteria and lakes with minor contributions of cyanobacteria but did not differ between lakes with R. raciborskii and other lakes. Physical factors, including water and Secchi depth, were the major drivers of bacteria and phytoplankton community composition. However, in lakes dominated by cyanobacteria, bacterial community composition was also influenced by biotic factors such as the amount of R. raciborskii, chlorophyll-a and total phytoplankton biomass. Thus, our study provides novel evidence on the influence of environmental factors and R. raciborskii on lake bacteria communities.

Abandoned farmland is particularly problematic in developed countries where agriculture has a comparative disadvantage in terms of effective use of land resources invested over time. While many studies have estimated the causes of these problems, few have discussed in detail the impact of data characteristics and accuracy on the estimation results. In this study, issues related to the underlying data and the estimation of the determinants of farmland abandonment were examined. Most previous studies on farmland abandonment in Japan have used census data as the basis of their analyses. However, census data are recorded subjectively by farmers. To address this, surveys of abandoned farmland are being conducted by a third party, and the results are compiled into a geographic information system (GIS) database. Two types of datasets (subjective census data and objective GIS data) were examined for their estimation performance. Although the two sets of data are correlated, there are considerable differences between them. Subjective variables are compatible with subjective data, and objective variables are compatible with objective data (meaning that parameters are easily identified). Original data for analysis, such as policy variables, are compatible with objective data. In policy evaluation research, attention should be paid to objective data collection.

School closures during pandemics raise important concerns for children and adolescents. Our aim is synthesizing available data on the impact of school closure during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on child and adolescent health globally. We conducted a rapid systematic review by searching PubMed, Embase, and Google Scholar for any study published between January and September 2020. We included a total of ten primary studies. COVID-19-related school closure was associated with a significant decline in the number of hospital admissions and pediatric emergency department visits. However, a number of children and adolescents lost access to school-based healthcare services, special services for children with disabilities, and nutrition programs. A greater risk of widening educational disparities due to lack of support and resources for remote learning were also reported among poorer families and children with disabilities. School closure also contributed to increased anxiety and loneliness in young people and child stress, sadness, frustration, indiscipline, and hyperactivity. The longer the duration of school closure and reduction of daily physical activity, the higher was the predicted increase of Body Mass Index and childhood obesity prevalence. There is a need to identify children and adolescents at higher risk of learning and mental health impairments and support them during school closures.
