The government aims to make education accessible to all the people of the country can be fulfilled if the online education system is developed enough for all. The country may be benefited by the use of the right type of education system. Learners and teachers get advantages if the education system is reformed using digital technologies like Automatic Call Tree (ACT)-based modalities. Such types of education system has key significant in the pandemic situation which have been facing since two years. This study is assumed to examine the Automatic Call Tree (ACT) based modalities and their utilization for connection between students, teachers, parents and school management committee; and some recommendations are made concerning online education. The main information source for this study is primary. Instruments used are questionnaires, interview with video recording, phone call, and class room observation. The preliminary finding showed that there is a scarcity of orientations of online education to parents, students, teachers, and administrators, though all were found to realize its importance. Likewise, major problems found are lack of digital devices, regular power supply and backup; and network connectivity. Based on the opinions of the respondents and observations of the situations of the different parts of the country running online education during this pandemic period, many recommendations are made. The country needs strategic plans and policy to make online education accessible to all learners specially in urban areas of Nepal and this will ensure online education smooth. It concludes that the Automatic Call Tree (ACT)-based modalities became fruitful for some schools of Nepal during Corona Virus (COVID)-19 pandemic. But many of them are facing different problems while conducting online classes, examination and result processing. Providing practical knowledge and skills about engineering, mathematics, health science, account, computer science subjects are very difficult and to examine them.

Abstract: During the time of covid-19 whole education system has shifted from offline mode to online mode which plays a vital role in the increasing stress, anxiety, depression and other mental problem among the students, teachers, and parents. Because they all are not familiar with the online education system. So in this scenario, we should know that how much they all are aware and capable to use different online tools and courses like swayam, Courera, edu, NPTEL, YouTube, etc with their economic condition, infrastructure, and mental health too. Are they able to continue their learning during this scenario? Due to lack of awareness they all are getting mentally disturbed. In this situation, they all need support from our government because for the present situation they were not prepared from earlier. A survey was conducted by us in Uttar Pradesh to analyze the effect of lockdown on students (age 15-35 years), teachers and parents (total 162 respondents) belongs from urban and rural areas through Google form during Sep – Oct month2020. So that most of the responses come from Uttar Pradesh and the city Lucknow. Through this survey we draw the different factors like not comfortable, privacy concerns, not aware, sleeping pattern, lazier, stressful, worried, eye problem, digital screens, burden of work, and disrespectful behavior which somewhere affect the mental health and behavior of the respondents. We have also taken response to rating online education system and examination at the likert scales 1(poor) — 5(excellent). This paper will help to know what the reasons behind the above mention factors are. We have find out the proportion of students, teachers, and parents who are facing different types of mental problems, and we are trying to show finding of the survey with the help of different graphs also. Keywords: Online higher education system, different factors affect mental health, the problem faces by the students, teachers, and parents, awareness about online courses, the suggestion for the government.

The Coronavirus pandemic and thus the following lockdown has forced schools and colleges across India to temporarily shut and this unprecedented move had created a huge gap within the education bodies despite the central and the government doing their best to support e-learning and online education. Globally, the Indian Education sector is amongst the most important, with an in-depth network of quite 1.4 million schools and 993 Universities, 39931 Colleges, and 10725 Stand-Alone Institutions listed on the AISHE web portal. Because the Indian education system was mostly supported by the offline system and classes. Most of the first, and secondary schooling sectors were all supported offline education system has got to opt the web classes for empowering the education, and for the advantages of the scholars. Many faculties within the country have switched to online classes thanks to the lockdown, but one in four students is unable to connect because they don’t have a laptop, desktop, or tablet, according to a survey by economic times.

Despite the recent enactment of the Zimbabwean Constitution which provides for the right to basic education, complaints, reminiscent of a failed basic education system, have marred the education system in Zimbabwe. Notwithstanding glaring violations of the right to basic education by the government, no person has taken the government to court for failure to comply with its section 75(1)(a) constitutional obligations, and neither has the government conceded any failures or wrongdoings. Two ultimate questions arise: Does the state know what compliance with section 75(1)(a) entails? And do the citizens know the scope and content of their rights as provided for by section 75(1)(a) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe? Whilst it is progressive that the Education Act of Zimbabwe as amended in 2020 has addressed some aspects relating to section 75(1)(a) of the Constitution, it has still not provided an international law compliant scope and content of the right to basic education neither have any clarifications been provided by the courts. Using an international law approach, this article suggests what the scope and content of section 75(1)(a) might be.

The world has been surprised by the emergence of a COVID 19 pandemic, was born in China, and widespread to various countries in the world. In Indonesia, the government issued several policies to break the COVID 19 pandemic chain, which also triggered some pro-cons in the midst of society. One of the policies government takes is the closure of learning access directly at school and moving the learning process from physical class to a virtual classroom or known as online learning. In the economic sector also affects the parents’ financial ability to provide sufficient funds to support the implementation of distance learning applied by the government. The implications of the distance education policy are of course the quality of learning, including the subjects of Islamic religious education, which is essentially aimed at planting knowledge, skills, and religious consciousness to form the character of the students. Online education must certainly be precise, in order to provide equal education services to all students, prepare teachers to master the technology, and seek the core learning of Islamic religious education can still be done well.

The existing Kai Tak Nullah flows from Po Kong Village Road along Choi Hung Road and Tung Tau Estate into Kai Tak Development Area before discharging into the Victoria Harbour. Historically its upstream has been subject to flooding under storm conditions and this has had serious repercussions for the adjacent urban areas. A study has been commissioned by the Drainage Services Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), China to investigate the flood mechanisms and to provide flood alleviation measures by improving the capacity of the Kai Tak Nullah. In addition to flood alleviation, there is a strong public aspiration to rehabilitate the Kai Tak Nullah by a comparatively natural river design. Since the Kai Tak Nullah is located within a heavily urbanized area, traffic and environmental impacts are also highly concerned. The final flood alleviation scheme has thus had to strike a balance among the aforesaid factors with assistance from the hydraulic modelling utilizing InfoWorks Collection Systems (CS) software. This paper presents the public engagement exercise, design considerations, methodologies, and recommendations regarding the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Kai Tak Nullah.

This research paper is the part of Research Project entitled “Impact of Elected Women Representatives in the Life and Livelihood of the Women in Rural Areas: With Special Reference to Tiruvannamalai District, Tamil Nadu” funded by University of Madras under UGC-UPE Scheme.The 73rd and 74th amendments of the Constitution of India were made by the government to strengthen the position of women and to create a local-level legal foundation for direct democracy for women in both rural and urban areas. The representation for women in local bodies through reservation policies amendment in Constitution of India has stimulated the political participation of women in rural areas. However, when it’s comes to the argument of whether the women reservation in Panchayati Raj helps or benefits to the life and livelihood development of women as a group? The answer is hypothetical because the studies related to the impact of women representatives of Panchayati Raj in the life and livelihood development of women was very less. Therefore, to fill the gap in existing literature, the present study was conducted among the rural women of Tiruvannamalai district to assess the impact of elected women representatives in the physical and financial and business development of the women in rural areas. The findings revealed that during the last five years because of the women representation in their village Panjayati Raj, the Physical Asset of the rural women were increased or developed moderately (55.8%) and Highly (23.4%) and the Financial and Business Asset of the rural women were increased or developed moderately (60.4%) and Highly (18.7%).

In order to revitalize Indian education system, the Government of India has recently approved National Education Policy-2020 (NEP-2020) and proposed sweeping changes including opening up of Indian higher education to foreign universities, dismantling of the UGC and the AICTE, introduction of a 4-year multidisciplinary undergraduate program with multiple exit options, and discontinuation of the M Phil program. It aims at making ‘India a global knowledge superpower’. In the light of National Education Policy-2020, agricultural education system needs to be redefined in India as it increases knowledge or information and farmer’s capacity to learn. As the level of agricultural education increases, farmers will become more and more self-reliant and will depend more on their self-studies dealing with farming. It is suggested that reorientation of agricultural higher education in context of globalization, food security, diversification, sustainability of ecosystems, and agribusiness is necessary. The curriculum of agricultural higher education needs to be made more broad based and manpower has to be trained scientifically in topics such as biotechnology, genetic engineering, agro-meteorology, environmental science, agro-ecology, computer application, information technology, conservation of natural and human resources, specialized job-oriented courses, and trade and export in agribusiness. Finally, adequate emphasis should be placed on practical skills and entrepreneurial capabilities among the students to achieve excellence. To properly address the challenges faced by today’s Indian agriculture, competent human resource in sufficiently large numbers would be required in the near future. There is a vast scope for young graduates to undertake agriculture as their profession which is directly or indirectly contributing to the economic and social development of the country.

The spiralling growth witnessed by the major supplemental educational providers testifies the acceptability of a blended approach in India. The literature review highlights how the education process could be more effective based on their strategies, perspectives and benefits.

To better evaluate the variations in concentration characteristics and source contributions of atmospheric volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during continuous haze days and non-haze days, hourly observations of atmospheric VOCs were conducted using a continuous on-line GC-FID (Airmo VOC GC-866) monitoring system during 1–15 March 2019, in urban areas of Beijing, China. The results showed that the total VOC concentrations during haze days and non-haze days were 59.13 ± 31.08 μg/m3 and 16.91 ± 7.19 μg/m3, respectively. However, the average O3 concentrations during the two haze days were lower than those of non-haze days due to the extremely low concentrations at night instead of the reported lower photochemical reaction in daytime. The ratio of OH radical concentration during haze and non-haze days indicating that the rate of photochemical reaction during haze days was higher than those of non-haze days from 13:00–19:00. The stable air conditions and the local diesel emission at night were the main reasons for the decreased O3 concentrations during haze days. Six major sources were identified by positive matrix factorization (PMF), namely, diesel exhaust, combustion, gasoline evaporation, solvent usage, gasoline exhaust, and the petrochemical industry, contributing 9.93%, 25.29%, 3.90%, 16.88%, 35.59% and 8.41%, respectively, during the whole observation period. The contributions of diesel exhaust and the petrochemical industry emissions decreased from 26.14% and 6.43% during non-haze days to 13.70% and 2.57%, respectively, during haze days. These reductions were mainly ascribed to the emergency measures that the government implemented during haze days. In contrast, the contributions of gasoline exhaust increased from 34.92% during non-haze days to 48.77% during haze days. The ratio of specific VOC species and PMF both showed that the contributions of gasoline exhaust emission increased during haze days. The backward trajectories, potential source contribution function (PSCF) and concentration weighted trajectory (CWT) showed that the air mass of VOCs during haze days was mainly affected by the short-distance transportation from the southwestern of Hebei province. However, the air mass of VOCs during non-haze days was mainly affected by the long-distance transportation from the northwest.
