Voltage fluctuations in batteries form a major challenge the telecommunication towers face. These fluctuations mostly occur due to poor management and the lack of a battery voltage level monitoring system. The current paper presents a battery voltage-level monitoring system to be used in telecommunication towers. The proposed solution is incorporated with a centralized mobile application dashboard for accessing the live data of the installed battery, integrated with voltage-level, current, temperature, fire, and gas sensors. An Arduino Uno microcontroller board is used to process and analyze the collected data from the sensors. The Global Service Message (GSM) module is used to monitor and store data to the cloud. Users are alerted in the case of low voltage, fire, and increase in harmful gases in the tower through Short Message Service (SMS). The experiment was conducted at Ngorongoro and Manyara telecommunication towers. The developed system can be used in accessing battery information remotely while allowing real-time continuous monitoring of battery usage. The proposed battery voltage-level monitoring system contributes to the elimination of battery hazards in towers. Therefore, the proposed battery voltage level monitoring system can be adopted by telecommunication tower engineers for the reduction of voltage fluctuation risks.

This paper presents design and implementation of SMS Gateway utilization in water level monitoring system. The system used to determine the water level at the reservoir. Background of this research is many used manually water level monitoring system. Manual water level monitoring is considered to be less effective, because it uses water level measurements with a line and checks are required regularly. The proposed system of this research uses ultrasonic sensors to detect water heights and SMS Gateway module as a communication with its users. The results showed ultrasonic sensors can read the distance well done and accordance with the measurements have been done. Water level level monitoring system works well with water reservoir 15 cm then indicator system show full water.

The equipments in computer rooms are complicated in nature. Many factors may influence their normal operations, for example: voltage, temperature, humidity, and the normalcy of systems. It would be prudent to have a monitoring system to prevent from unpredictable problems. Most monitoring systems in the market can only issue alarms in abnormal situations and then analyze the aftermath. They are also expansive and lack the ability for distant instant control. To tackle this problem, after our successful and practical experiments, we utilize GSM text messaging ability (i.e. SMS, short message service) and make distant monitoring possible. The monitoring system is established with a reasonable price that is well below current market. With this system, the manager/administrator can monitor the real-time status of equipments in computer rooms, send control commands through SMS and then get them executed to solve the problems instantly and effectively.

In order to monitor the forest fire effectively and to reduce the loss caused by forest fire in North China areas, a forest fire monitoring system was designed. Based on satellite remote sensing data, GIS data and meteorological information, the system has functions such as processing of data, adjusting of forest fire index for judging hot spots, intelligent judging of hot spots, and analyzing of geographical information and weather condition of hot spots. Also fire information is issued on web and by short message service. The system makes the remote sensing monitoring of forest fire automatically.

Here, we demonstrate the field applicability of the Ag-TiO2 Schottky diodes for environmental UV level measurements. The device is visible-blind and it is shown that its maximum sensitivity coincides the environmental UV spectrum (UV-A). These features, along with its low voltage and biasing insensitivity of its operation, simplify the electronic circuit required for the fabrication of a hand-held UV monitoring system.

The development of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) technology makes it easier for a user to monitor a room. However, the use of CCTV still cannot reach all levels of society due to the price is relatively expensive. Therefore, it is necessary to build a new system that has the same features as CCTV devices in general but at a more affordable price. This system was built using the OpenWRT operating system. The operating system will be installed on a wireless router with several additional tools to support its functionality such as speakers, GSM modems, webcams, and flash drives. The resulting system has the ability to detect movement and store images and videos when suspicious movements are detected. In addition, this system also has several other features such as alarm alerts, Short Message Service (SMS) warnings, user email reports, and easy access via WIFI and the internet.

According to the requirements of remote monitoring for TV transmitting station, present a SMS based centralized monitoring solution. In this solution, the GSM network and Ethernet was combined together, and remote monitoring was achieved through GSM short message service. Introduced the total structure of the system, described the software designs of the device agent and the message server, as well as the communication protocols between each components.

Among them there is a monitoring system or monitoring system using a camera .Monitoring System is a system that can oversee all activities or events that occur in a particular room or area that is considered essential to safeguard , so in this study were made based application development SmartCam auto detect movement and SMS Alert with the aim to utilize image and video capturing in order to control the state of the house without having to always be in the house . SmartCam applications built using the software windows 7 operating system and programming language Visual Basic Net 2010.The aim of this research is to build the SmartCam applications to detect motion and sending the alert through sms? while the owner was not in place and anticipate crime by identifying it early .
