This study demonstrates main reasons for choosing The National University of Malaysia (UKM) by internationalstudents and their needs and expectations toward the University. The study also shows the obstacles faced bythose students and their satisfaction towards UKM. A total of 108 questionnaires were distributed in the maincampus to the respondents who came from ten diffident countries. The main reasons for choosing UKM were itshigh ranking, reasonable tuition fees, faculty, programmes, and lecturers respectively. The results revealed thatthe main obstacles faced international students were tough visa procedures, improper hostels, social isolation anddiscrimination, and bureaucracy. Both the facilities and services of UKM and the studying approach have met theexpectations satisfaction of international students. Yet, both social relationship and participation in activities andliving conditions in UKM hostels have disappointed international students and did not meet their satisfaction. This study suggested that UKM should establish counselling unit and organise regular meetings to listen to the problems and suggestions of those students. Volunteer and pre-enrolment activities should be organised to introduce the Malaysian culture and gather international students with their local peer. Moreover, international students should be provided upon their arrival to UKM by hostels that combine proper conditions of living at a reasonable price.

In the fall of 2018, the “Vaia” windstorm grounded around 8.5 million m3 of timber in northeastern Italy. Soon after, the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) Italy activated a project called “fair supply chain” to promote the purchase of timber from the damaged areas at a reasonable price. The initiative was addressed at forest owners, forest and processing enterprises, retailers, and supporting organizations. This study reports the results of a survey performed to assess the effectiveness of the project two years after its launch. The survey, in the form of a questionnaire submitted to all adhering organizations, investigated different aspects such as motivations for adherence to the project, satisfaction with the project, sale of the labeled material, and promotion of the specific label. The results provide a detailed outline of the above aspects. Through the various findings, the project is perceived as effective in supporting the region, enhancing an organizations’ image, and limiting price fall. Yet, further efforts should be aimed at increasing networking and business opportunities. Some recommendations are also offered for similar projects in the future, as forest disturbances are increasing worldwide in frequency and intensity due to climate change.

This application is used to find nearby area mechanics while we suddenly stranded on the remote locations with mechanical issues of our vehicle. It is a good solution for the people who seek help in the remote locations. In this, the approved mechanics are enlisted in this application. Also they are under monitored by this system for not charging any extra service fee from the users. This can be monitored by the admin through the user feedback based on their service. The registered users can access this application. This application will help to reduce wasting user time to found a proper mechanic. This application will allow user to make payment for a vehicle repair in a reasonable price.

This mini review summarizes the most recent research in ballast reinforcement. Several materials are being used for the purpose of improving the ballast layer in railways, including geosynthetics, rubber sheets and binding agents. Such methods of reinforcement have proven to be beneficial for increasing the strength, stiffness, and resilience of the ballast layer in addition to reducing settlement, breakage, degradation, and maintenance cost and frequency. Latest studies try to find the best types, placement, and combination of geosynthetics to achieve the highest strength and resistance, in addition to obtaining the optimum percentage of binding agents and methods of applying them in order to discover the most effective binder that achieves the most improvement to the mechanical properties of the layer for a reasonable price. An overview of the recent tests conducted to study the reinforced ballast layer and their results is presented in this paper, as well as an overall evaluation of the implementation of these reinforcement methods in railways.

This chapter discusses the issue of capacity. The general rule is that contracts are valid but unenforceable on minors (persons under 18 years of age). However, they are enforceable against adults, and a minor can ratify a contract upon attaining the age of majority so that the contract is enforceable against both parties. At common law, mental incapacity is not by itself a reason to set aside a contract. But if the other party knows, or ought to know, of the mental incapacity, then the contract can be set aside. The Mental Capacity Act 2005 makes it clear that a person who lacks capacity must still pay a reasonable price for necessary goods and services.

AbstractThe safe light regional vehicle (SLRV) concept was developed within the DLR project next-generation car (NGC). NGC SLRV addresses the safety concern of typical L7e vehicles. The SLRV is therefore specifically designed to demonstrate significant improvements to the passive safety of small vehicles. Another important goal of the NGC SLRV concept is to offer solutions to some of the main challenges of electric vehicles: to provide an adequate range and at the same time a reasonable price of the vehicle. In order to address these challenges a major goal of the concept is to minimize the driving resistance of the vehicle, by use of lightweight sandwich structures. A fuel cell drivetrain also helps to keep the overall size and weight of the vehicle low, while still providing sufficient range.

Objective – This study aimed to investigate Thai customers’ preference to chili sauce using conjoint analysis (henceforth CA). Methodology/Technique – The participants of the study were residents of Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom and Mukdahan, Thailand. Data were collected with a stratified sampling technique and 420 usable questionnaires were considered. Findings –The participants of the study were residents of Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom and Mukdahan, Thailand. Data were collected with a stratified sampling technique and 420 usable questionnaires were considered. Conjoint Analysis indicates that consumers attach the most importance to a reasonable price, which is 45 baht. Since price is related to quality, good quality products must have a reasonable price. The flavor is the second priority. Consumers tend to prefer a hot & sweet flavor, yet too hot is not ideal, hot should be combined with a sweet flavor to make it smoother. In addition, consumers prefer a combination of herbal ingredients with organic chili, given the growing healthy trend in Thailand. Consumers then prefer an organic chili sauce with herbal ingredients that promotes good health. In terms of packaging, consumers prefer a squeezable product, rather than a bottle. Novelty - This paper will study the preferences of consumers with regards to the product; not much research on these topics has been undertaken. It could assist the company in knowing how to produce the product to respond to the customer’s demand. Type of Paper: Empirical. JEL Classification: M31, M39. Keywords: Chili sauce; Conjoint analysis; Consumer preferences; Customer satisfaction; New product development Reference to this paper should be made as follows: Jitkuekul, P; Khamtanet, S. (2020).
