This research is kind of an action research. The aim is to know increasing students’ reading inception by using card picture colour media is done entitled “Effort of increasing students reading inception by using card picture colour media of the first grade students of SD N Kategan Pundong Bantul in the academic year of 2018/2019”. Teaching learning process by using card colour media is effective to increase students inception reading by the first grade students of SD kategan Pundong Bantul. The result shows ability average score is 14,73 ( earlier 65,13 to 79,86). the number of criteria completness minimum score KKM is increase 44% or 9 students ( earlier score is 43% to 87%. The result of the research is appropriate of standard criteria is determined by average score class of 75 and average completneess score is 75 %.

The aim of this research was to know the increase of students’ vocabulary mastery by using board race game for fifth grade students of Uttayan Suksa Krabi School, Thailand in the academic year 2018/2019. The method used in this research was collaborative classroom action research. The researchers conducted this research from December 2018 until March 2019 in Uttayan Suksa Krabi School, Thailand. In collecting the data, the researchers used observation, test, and documentation. The tests were given in pre-test, post-test 1 and post- test 2. The researchers analyzed the average score of each test to find out the increase of students’ vocabulary mastery after the action was conducted. After the researchers have conducted the action, the students’ vocabulary mastery has increased optimally. It could be seen from the score of pre-test that showed 55.3, post-test 1 was 68.6, and post-test 2 was 85.6. After applying the action, the researchers were able to solve the problem in increasing students’ vocabulary mastery. The students were able to pronounce, memorize and understand the words based on the context. By using Board Race game in teaching vocabulary, the students could easily understand and memorize the spelling of the new vocabulary. In the teaching process, when the researcher as teacher used game, the students were enthusiastic and enjoyed during teaching learning process. It can be concluded that board race game can increase students’ vocabulary mastery. It is suggested to use board race game as the alternative media in teaching learning English.

The research was aimed to investigate the use of diary writing to overcome students’ problem in writing recount texts. The problems include writing a recount text in chronological order, writing correct verb changes and developing ideas. Classroom action research was conducted by applying diary as the technique to help students overcome their problem. There were two cycles conducted in this research. The data were taken from the students’ individual score, observation checklist, and field notes. The result showed that teaching writing through diary writing improved students’ writing recount text. Referring to the research findings, the data showed that diary writing improved students’ recount text, as seen in their score. These in terms of score, students’ improved from 71.96 to 76.03 and improving the motivation to the students which makes them eager to write also makes the teaching learning process better. In conclusions, students’ writing recount text of the tenth grade students of class IPS 1 of SMAN 4 Sungai Raya in academic year 2018/2019 improved by using diary.

<p>This study is conducted to find out and to describe to what extent the use of Jigsaw Technique improves the students’ reading comprehension, and to describe the classroom situation when Jigsaw Technique is implemented in reading class. The population of this study is the students of grade VIII in a state junior high school in Boyolali in the academic year 2017/2018 consists of 21 students. The data were collected by observation, interview, and test. The research findings showed that the teacher dominated the teaching-learning process, while the students were not active to give responses but passive to ask questions. The  brief explanation of this study can be presented as follows. The first students reading ability could be improved through the use of Jigsaw technique, before the research was done, the average score of the students’ reading ability was only 59.6, but after the research one for cycle 1, it improved to 65. In cycle 2, it increased up to 71.5. Next, there were also improvements of class situation in teaching learning process and it helps to improve students’ reading ability and more engaged in learning process.</p>

This research is the classroom action research (PTK). It is held toward students of Department of Agribusiness 4 semester sixth of academic year 2014/2015 Faculty of Agriculture North Sumatra Muhammadiyah University, which is amount 40 persons. The research aims to improve the student’s learning result that in the low level and did not achieve the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) of 65 score. This classroom action research uses learning media of video which is used as instrument to motivate the students in the learning process so that the learning result become better and achieve the score of KKM. The instruments are used by researcher is the 20-questions-multiple-choice and 5-question-essay test, observation sheet either for researcher or students, and using media of video. The student’s learning result of the first cycle is the highest score of 78 and the lowest score 56. While the student’s learning result in the second cycle obtaining the highest score of 88 and the lowest score of 68. The average score of first cycle is 68.65 experienced an increase in the second cycle with the average score of 81.15. This shows that learning media of video plays an important role in improving the student’s learning result.

The lack of motivation and result of teaching-learning process obtained by the students are the problems faced by technical study programs, including the one at the Faculty of Engineering of Universitas Negeri Padang. This paper discusses the actions done through classroom action research as the attempt to raise the students’ motivation and the result of teaching learning process. The object of the research was the students of D3 regular program of electrical engineering in the academic year of 2005/2006. The result of the research shows that a set of actions, namely: (i) attracting the students to discuss the nature of Technical English subject; (ii) improving and correcting the students’ attitude and perception towards Technical English subject; (iii) applying teaching method and techniques based on natural-constructivism approach; (iv) varying techniques and materials of teaching; (v) using modern equipments, materials, instruments, and facilities effectively, could raise the students’ motivation and their result of teaching-learning process of Technical English subject.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa tingkat I PGSD STKIP Santu Paulus Ruteng melalui pendekatan taktik bermain. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang terdiri atas dua siklus, menggunakan desain Kemmis & MC. Taggart. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan taktik bermain yang di padukan dengan permainan lempar tangkap bola dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan minat sepak bola mahasiswa kelas IF PGSD STKIP Santu Paulus Ruteng. Berdasarkan data hasil tes pada siklus I rata-rata nilai mahasiswa secara klaksikal megalami peningkatan yaitu terlihat dari pratindakan 30 orang (50,84%) naik menjadi 39 orang (67%) pada siklus I dan pada siklus II menjadi 45 orang (76%) yang tuntas/lulus dengan mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimum yaitu 60. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, sepak bola, pendekatan taktik bermain   AN EFFORT TO INCREASE THE STUDENTS’ QUALITY AT PGSD OF STKIP ST. PAUL RUTENG IN PLAYING FOOTBALL THROUGH THE TACTICAL APROACH Abstract This research aims to seek the increasing result of the students’ learning process in the first grade at PGSD (Elementary School Teacher Education) of STKIP St. Paul Ruteng through the tactical games approach. This research is a kind of Classroom Action Research which consists of two cycles by using Kemmis & MC. Taggart’s design. The research result shows that the tactical games approach which is combined with throwing-catching of ball play can increase the learning result and the interest in playing football for the 1F-class students at PGSD of STKIP St. Paul Ruteng.  Based on the test result at first cycle, the average score of the students, is increasing classically which is shown by pre-action, namely 30 students (50.84%) becoming 39 students (67%) at first cycle, and then at second cycle it has been 45 students (76%) who have graduated/passed by reaching the minimum score criteria namely 60. The objective of this research is to make the teaching learning of English at class XI IPA 1 of SMA Negeri 1 Abung Semuli, academic year 2016-2017 become interesting and effective. The research is classroom action research conducted in two cycles that involves plan, action, observation and reflection. The subject of the research was class XI IPA 1 that consists of 37 students (25 females and 12 males ). There were four instruments used in the reseach : teacher’s activity, students’ activity, active students and learning achievement. This study found that the use of Group Investigation model of learning can increase the effectiveness the English learning process at class XI IPA 1. The effectiveness of learning process is shown by improvement of the achievement at (1) the percentage of teacher’s activity that reached the target from 61.95% (cycle 1) becomes 80% (cycle 2) or increased 18,05%.(2) The percentage of students’ activity in cycle 1 was 41,66 % became 65,91% that meant the increased  24,25 %,(3) the persentage of active students also increased from 40,54 % (cycle 1) to 83,78 % (cycle 2) , the increase was 43,24 %, and (4) the percentage of speaking score was 24,32% (cycle 1) became 73,00% (cycle 2), means the increase wa 48,68 %. The result of learning using Group Investigatio model is achieved through the following stages: (1) pre-activity, teacher prepared students by informing the learning objective, giving motivation, preparing the material and putting the students into groups. (2)main step, the students in group were distributed the topic problem, group presentation, personal task, plenary discussion, conclusion and (3) post-activity, making a resume of the materail and teaching learning reflection.

The study aimed at improving the speaking achievement of the second semester students of Tridinanti Palembang by using Think-Pair-Share strategy (TPR). This study was an action research study. The steps in conducting the study were planning, actions and observation of action and reflections. The population of the study was all of the second semester students of Tridinanti University in the academic year 2016/2017. The sample used one class (10students). The data collections used by the researcher were tests and observation. The learning improvement indicators included in two things; (1) learning achievement, (2) teaching and learning process. In the study, the implementation was conducted into two cycles. The results showed that the average score of students’ speaking achievement was 66 in cycle I and the observation result was 62.82. The result had not been reached the target yet that was >70. At least more than 85% students could achieve the score above 70. Thus, cycle II was necessary to be implemented. In cycle II, the average score of speaking test was 81and the observation result was 81.06. The students had reached the target and the cycle was stopped. In conclusion, the implementation of TPR had brought significant improvement to the students’ speaking achievement.

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the triple P model can Improve the students' speaking skills. This research is a Classroom Action Research which applied to the students of English Language and Literature Study Program of Sawerigading University the academic year of 2016/2017. During the learning process, students are taught using ‘Triple P’ model. This model includes three activities; presentation, practice and production. In general it can be concluded that this model could motivate the students to speak confidently in the classroom and showed the improvement of students’ creativity on teaching learning process, their ability to express their own ideas, and their ability to interact or communicate with their friends.

Therefore, singing is implemented in this study as a strategy to enhance the ability to speak. This study is aimed to find out the role of songs in enhancing the ability to speak for children in early childhood. This classroom action research is conducted in two cycles, there are: planning, acting out and observing, as well as reflecting. Data were collected by conducting observation technique, documentation, and test. It is shown from the results of the study that the ability of children to speak is increasing for every cycle. In the be- ginning, the cycle reached by only 56% or in the average 51, cycle I reached 60% with mean score68,08 and cycle 2 reached 97% with the average score 83. From the percentage, it is shown that re- sults of cycle II has passed the minimum score for students in Kindergarten level. In other words, it is proven that singing has been successfully implemented as a strategy in teaching speaking. It has enhanced the ability of children to speak. It is suggested for teachers in Kindergarten level to implement singing as a teaching strategy to bridge the need to teach Kindergarten students to speak during the learning process.
