Industry 4.0 technologies represent a new paradigm of integration of cyber-physical systems, information and communication solutions, with applications in many different domains. This topic has to date been vaguely explored in the realm of the social sciences; hence this study attempts to bridge this gap by investigating the challenges of innovation adoption, based on I4.0 technologies, more specifically the factors affecting adoption decisions. This paper, based on previous adoption literature, aims to identify the barriers and benefits generated in the Supply Chain. Given the nature and novelty of the technology, whose adoption is the primary theme of this study, a systematic literature review was developed. The results present a framework that connects adoption factors, enabling technologies of I4.0, and benefits to the Supply Chain. The Model can be easily adapted to serve as a tool in the evaluation and selection of technological innovations to be adopted.

This paper aims to understand factors determining location decision, or country selection of Readymade Garments (RMG) outsourcing in global supply chain management. In the process, this article fills a knowledge gap by proposing a unique model that relates country determinant factors and firm’s motives to location choice specific for RMG outsourcing moderated by firm’s size and age. The overall framework enlightens the scholars about the significance of distinguishing factors as the basis for differential outsourcing location decisions. Multinational managers may find it useful to identify the optimum outsourcing location decisions considering idiosyncratic factors that are unique to RMG outsourcing location decision.

The study aimed to find factors affecting the development of trust-based cooperative relationships and test the links between them. For this study, the research framework was based on the notion that a cooperative relationship in a supply chain required commitment, cooperation and trust among the supply chain partners, with trust as a critical element. The other assumption was that the selection of partners with specific qualities was conducive to building cooperative relationships. The research was conducted on a sample of 226 companies using the CATI technique. In the study structural equation modelling was used. The obtained results confirmed the positive impact of partner qualities on trust and adaptation, of adaptation on commitment, of trust on cooperation and commitment, and of commitment on cooperation. New measurement scales were used that expanded the range of factors that affect the successful building of trust-based cooperative relationships in a supply chain.

In our current conditions, it is not possible for all contractors to participate in specific construction project tenders due to the social, political and many other circumstances. Therefore, employers select appropriate contractors in two qualitative and quantitative stages; the second stage criteria are more important than the first stage. In this research, different stages for the evaluation and ranking of contractors in tenders of projects with specific conditions have been investigated. Researchers have tried to provide a comprehensive and complete approach to select a more appropriate contractor as an optimization method. In the first stage of the tender, the researchers used the GRAY method to rank contractors. In the second stage, they used AHP method to assess and rank the criteria of the contractors brought to this stage. Finally, the appropriate contractor selected and announced to the employer.

AbstractBackground: The absence of a common conceptual framework on traceability in the food supply chain (SCF), prevents a cohesive development of this concept. The absence has generated confusion and has made it impossible to demonstrate the social and commercial advantages of its implementation. In addition, not having a common framework in countries such as Colombia obstructs the development of public policies.Method: A systematic review of the literature was carried out in four stages: search protocol to consult articles in the databases Scopus, Science Direct and ISI Web; review and selection of relevant articles; extraction and incorporation of data into tables and formats designed for this purpose and elaboration of the conceptual framework. Results: A common conceptual framework is proposed for the design and implementation of a traceability system in the SCF covering the following aspects: definition of traceability, characteristics and properties, schemes, traceable resource unit, motivators and recording systems. The international and national legislation is evaluated and aspects for its incorporation are established. The proposed conceptual framework is exemplified by the meat supply chain to guide the implementation of traceability systems in CSA in Colombia. Conclusions: The conceptual framework for SCF traceability can be a guide for the implementation and development of food chains in the Colombian context. Implementing this in agricultural chains would allow the differentiation of origin, which can be a competitive factor for producers with good agricultural practices, as well as provide effective logistic capacities for all agents of the SCF. The effect of its implementation should be evaluated with special emphasis on the impact on brand positioning and the establishment of fair prices as an effect of tracking and tracing the traceability system.Language: Spanish.

Background:: Selection of Sustainable Suppliers is a key term in sustainable supply chain management. This is the reason to choose the supplier who will support the company to implement sustainability in its business, especially in the supply chain. Objective:: The aim of this paper is to establish a new innovative model for decision-making on based on a fuzzy approach. Methods:: This decision-making problem is solved by applying multi-criteria decision-making, since there are several cri-teria according to which a decision should be made: economic, social and environmental criteria. In order to make the final decision on supply chain better and safer, the social criteria were modified in this paper, adding ethical criteria. The example with modified social criteria in this paper was shown on the example of the company "Voćar" Brčko, which deals with the production of food products. In this paper, the fuzzy Measurement Alternatives and Ranking according to COmpromise Solution method was used. Results:: The findings have shown that supplier A1 have the best results which were confirmed with the first sensitivity analysis. However, the second sensitivity analysis has shown that supplier A5 was better than supplier A1 in 14 scenarios. Due to these findings, no unanimous decision can be made about which supplier among the two in this case would contribute more. Conclusion:: This paper has shown that selection of sustainable suppliers is crucial for any company focused on the prin-ciples of sustainability in business. Moreover, this paper has shown that it is sometimes very difficult to select just one supplier.

The rapid spread of information technologies and other phenomena in the new economy causes significant changes in the social and employment spheres. The objective is mainly to analyze and systematize the peculiarities of labor and payment for it in the new economy. In this paper are used the analytical grouping method for characterizing salary functions, as well as changes in the social and labour sphere that take place in the new economy, correlation-regression analysis to determine the relationship between average income and factors affecting its level. The results of the paper show three important findings. Firstly, the gradual changes in the content of labour and forms of its organization that happen in modern conditions under the influence of dissemination of information and communication technologies require new approaches to income adjustment. Secondly, the authors also found that the fair employee compensation, ensuring productive employment in modern conditions, is a challenge not only of the national but also of international scale. Thirdly, the prospective directions of reducing inequality and social tension in society is the guarantee of the basic unconditional income; progressive tax on all types of income; reduction of the length of working time while maintaining payments and improving productivity.

The adoption of e-government services and the active e-participation of citizens may be affected by the pre-dominant socio-economic inequalities. The current study examined the impact of the digital divide to the use of e-government and e-participation services. We used the micro-data from the national survey on the use of Information and Communication Technologies by the Greek households and individuals. This survey was conducted by the Greek Statistical Authority in 2017, in a representative sample of the Greek population (n = 3321). We analyzed the data using logistic regression equations. According to the results, the social exclusion factors may influence the use of e-government services. The most important socio-economic factors affecting the decision to use e-government services are the educational level, age and citizenship. The e-participation of the citizens in various democratic processes is only influenced by their educational attainment. This work highlights the impact of the digital divide to every aspect of our digital life. The state should implement policies to address the digital divide focusing on the vulnerable social subgroups, such as the low-educated and older people. The findings of our research may help the policymakers to conceptualize the effect of the digital divide to e-government adoption, in a multidimensional and integrative way.
