For several centuries, the mission of the university, original created for the intellectual and cultural development of man, has changed little. The main task of the university is undergoing changes today. The growing antropogical contradiction: the uncertainty of the future, enormous technological variability and existential unpreparedness for this person, contributes to the revision of the university model. The purpose of the article is to develop a pedagogical model of the university that can respond to modern challenges. Methodology. The university always focuses on the future, accepts young people who will develop this future, so the emphasis of modern methodology in the design of educational systems should be “from the future”. This means that it should be based on the reflection of existing phenomena in culture today (see V.S. Stepin). In this work, university models from the late 17th century to the beginning of the 21st century were selected as materials of research in this work and their missions were analyzed. It is concluded that the era influences the formation of the university’s mission, its purpose, goals and methods of education. In particular, classical university education has always been built on three vectors: the vector of the search for the ideal self, the vector of social identification and the vector of cultural identification. In the modern period, the advantage of the vector of socialization over others is increasing. The results of the study. The pedagogical model of education at a modern university is presented. The basis is the thought of M.K. Mamardashvili about a self-fulfilling person and the principles of liberal education: the principle of active independent activity efforts, the principle of a varied educational environment, the principle of volumetric communication, communicativeness and creativity, the principle of reliance on independent learning. Thus, the modern educational environment of the university should be a varied, multi-level, practice-oriented, reflective environment in which 3 educational vectors are concentrated: the search for one’s purpose (idealization), cultural identification and social self-realization. Their combination allows us to overcome the one-sided emphasis of the educational process on socialization. The results of the research may be applied in design and implementation performance of blended learning models or their components in practice of universities.

The training of a specialist at a university is determined by the quality of the educational process, during which it is necessary to take into account the situation on the labor market. Successful training largely depends on the students self-education, which is difficult and limited in the context of a pandemic. The conditions of todays realities dictate the methods and forms of the process of self-education of students. During the pandemic, students practice self-education on a remote basis. We consider this form as a complex functional system with its own logic of development and relatively independent stages of learning via the Internet. Changes in various fields of activity are observed daily, which increases the requirements for the quality of education of a competitive individual; the idea of online education using electronic information platforms that serve as a means of self-education of students at the university is analyzed. The process of organizing the educational process in disciplines and tasks from the position of digitalization, through the introduction of modern digital technologies in the process of education of academic courses at the time of the pandemic in the country and the world, becomes significant. The conceptual apparatus considered in the paper: information space, educational space, self-education, competence, competence approach. It clarifies the need to teach the discipline in combination to acquire professional experience; the idea of revealing and enriching the inner potential of each person, his development and self-education throughout his life is substantiated; a detailed analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature is given. The results of a comprehensive study conducted at Chelyabinsk State University confirm the dependence of communicative competence on the students self-education during the pandemic.

Industry 4.0 imposes certain requirements on the openness of academic results presented in the electronic portfolio — an alternative to academic diploma, which allows the employer to see how the co-seeker implements the lifelong education society slogan in his life. The article presents a study on the use of the undergraduate student’s electronic portfolio, which ensures the productivity of the educational process at the university. The creation of an electronic portfolio provides a high-quality accumulation of information necessary for the timely recording of real changes and achievements of an undergraduate student. Maintaining an electronic portfolio is a creative work that allows the undergraduate student to realistically present their educational level, see the reserves, determine the vector of professional and personal self-improvement and master digital technologies, and let the employer remotely select applicants to make a decision upon inviting him for an interview. In the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution, the country’s position in the global world economy will be determined not only by the degree of development of the digital economy, but also by the quality of human capital and education.

The relevance of this article is to consider the issue of education of students in modern educational conditions and new requirements for the labor functions of University teachers. The change of paradigms and life orientations in the nineties of the twentieth century led to changes in the life principles of the Russian youth. Egoistic, consumer attitude to life in the younger generation has become a direct threat to the future of the country. Therefore, the resumption of educational work at the University has become a necessity of time. Education and training are so intertwined in the educational process that each teacher voluntarily or unwittingly engaged in educational work, but the main role is assigned to the Institute of curatorship, which remains the flagship in this matter. Each University tries to develop its own approaches to the education of students. Curators in cooperation with other teachers form the intra-University system of education. The article presents the data of the survey of students of the first and second courses of the direction of Agroengineering of the state agrarian University of the Northern Urals about the life guidelines of modern youth. As a result, such disturbing factors as addiction to computer games, unwillingness of students to participate in public life of the University and problems with Patriotic education are revealed. Different understanding of the purpose, objectives and methods of implementation of the educational function of universities creates difficulties in the organization of such work. To eliminate these problems, it is necessary to create a scientific and methodological basis for educational activities of the University, to develop common approaches. Educational work in the modern system of higher education is a fundamental factor in the formation of a graduate of the University as a competitive person with professional knowledge, a high cultural level, as a self-sufficient person capable of self-development and take responsibility for decisions.

The relevance of the topic of the article is due to the process of modernization of higher mathematical education in Russia, which has led to a significant change in curricula and the need to look for ways and forms of training that would allow students to learn the necessary material within the time granted for studying, while obtaining the maximum necessary amount of skills, knowledge, and competencies. The objective of the article is to justify the ways and principles of the development and implementation of new pedagogical and information technologies in the educational process, the organization of professional education of students in technical areas based on the integration of mathematics and computer science. The leading method of the study of this problem is the methodological analysis and subsequent synthesis, which, by analyzing the didactic content of the sections in mathematics and the possibilities of the computer mathematical environment called Mathematica, reveals the necessary methods and ways of developing and using modern computer technologies in the mathematical education of engineering students. It is proved that one of the main tools for implementing the methods for solving the indicated problem should be considered a computer, namely, the mathematical environment called Mathematica, and the basic principles of its systemic implementation in the educational process of the university have been identified. The materials of the article may be useful to teachers of mathematical disciplines of higher educational institutions, the computer programs and pedagogical software products created in Mathematica can serve as models for the development of similar pedagogical software products.
