Vocabulary work covers the acquisition of new words and meanings by schoolchildren in an accessible form; the main stage of familiarization with the emotional and expressive coloring of words, the scope of their use; assimilation of concepts of polysemy and figurative meanings, synonyms, antonyms, paronyms; activation of the dictionary, the use of new learned words in their own utterances, their inclusion in the number of words constantly used by the student; clearing the dictionary, i.e. elimination of dialectal, vernacular, vulgar words from the active vocabulary of students and much more. In order to improve speech culture, a prominent place should be occupied by exercises aimed at expanding the active vocabulary of children, as well as developing their ability to choose from their vocabulary to Express thoughts those words that most correspond to the content of the utterance and make it correct, accurate and expressive.

Vocabulary work covers the acquisition of new words and their meanings by schoolchildren in an accessible form. It complains the main stage of familiarization with the emotional and expressive coloring of the words and with the sphere of their use. It gives assimilation to the polysemy, the figurative meanings, synonyms, antonyms and paronyms concepts. Activation of the vocabulary in the class gives to students a capacity to use newly learned words in their own utterances that help them include these words in their constantly used vocabulary list. Vocabulary work also used in clearing the dictionary, in other words, to eliminate dialectal, vernacular and vulgar words from the active vocabulary of students. The correct and well-thought-out use of the students' native language has great importance for the successful teaching of the Russian language to non-Russian children.

It is proved that the imperative of modern linguistic science is a multiparadigmatic approach in the study of existing facts of language and speech, which is manifested in the priority of three basic principles: explanatoriness, anthropocentrism and functionalism. During this study we found that the complexity of approaches in research provides objectivity and completeness of knowledge about the phenomena under study and allows to solve urgent problems. In this regard, we made an attempt to show the ways of studying the problem of inner valence of morphemes in various areas of modern linguistics (on the material of newspaper discourse neologisms). Attention is paid to the solution of the problem of valence in the direction of sociolinguistics, which allows to establish the non-linguistic causes of the emergence of new words and explore through the neologisms the space of the language functioning outside its autochthonous territory. We analyze body of neolexical item in author card index records and its wordbuilding processes in the discourse activity of Russian-speaking mass media of Kazakhstan, allows us to conclude that extra-linguistic factors causing the birth of new categories include the politicization of society, the adoption of western economic system, the rapid technical development.

The work on enriching the vocabulary of students with vocabulary is of great importance for the formation of writing skills, for the prevention of spelling errors in the written speech of children, because it develops in schoolchildren a versatile attention to the word, a responsible attitude towards it. The solution of the main task of vocabulary work - the enrichment of the active vocabulary of students - is facilitated by the systematic consolidation of newly learned words. The main condition for the consolidation of new words is their repetition, systematic use in coherent speech. New words in each lesson of the Russian language should be given in a strictly limited number, which makes it possible to introduce a planned and systematic presentation of the material, to instill in the student a responsible attitude to vocabulary work. Rationing increases the responsibility of the teacher himself for the formulation of vocabulary work.

Purpose This prologue introduces the LSHSS Forum: Vocabulary Across the School Grades. The goals of the forum are to provide an overview of the importance of vocabulary to literacy and academic achievement, to review evidence regarding best practices for vocabulary instruction, and to highlight recent research related to word learning with students across different grade levels. Method The prologue provides a foundational overview of vocabulary's role in literacy and introduces the topics of the other ten articles in the forum. These include clinical focus articles, research reviews, and word-learning and vocabulary intervention studies involving students in elementary grades through college. Conclusion Children with language and reading disorders experience specific challenges learning new words, but all students can benefit from high-quality vocabulary instruction. The articles in this issue highlight the characteristics of evidence-based vocabulary interventions for children of different ages, ability levels, and language backgrounds and provide numerous examples of intervention activities that can be modified for use in individual, small-group, or large-group instructional settings.

This article presents some streamlined and intentionally oversimplified ideas about educating future communication disorders professionals to use some of the most basic principles of evidence-based practice. Working from a popular five-step approach, modifications are suggested that may make the ideas more accessible, and therefore more useful, for university faculty, other supervisors, and future professionals in speech-language pathology, audiology, and related fields.

SummaryThe measurement of blood flow in various organs and its visual presentation in parametric images is a major application in nuclear medicine. The purpose of this paper is to summarize the most important nuclear medicine procedures used to quantify regional blood flow. Starting with the first concepts introduced by Fick and later by Kety-Schmidt the basic principles of measuring global and regional cerebral blood are discussed and their relationships are explained. Different applications and modifications realized first in PET- and later in SPECT-studies of the brain and other organs are described. The permeability and the extraction of the different radiopharmaceuticals are considered. Finally some important instrumental implications are compared.

This paper describes a general data base management package, devoted to medical applications. SARI is a user-oriented system, able to take into account applications very different by their nature, structure, size, operating procedures and general objectives, without any specific programming. It can be used in conversational mode by users with no previous knowledge of computers, such as physicians or medical clerks. As medical data are often personal data, the privacy problem is emphasized and a satisfactory solution implemented in SARI.The basic principles of the data base and program organization are described ; specific efforts have been made in order to increase compactness and to make maintenance easy.Several medical applications are now operational with SARI. The next steps will mainly consist in the implementation of highly sophisticated functions.
