Once introduced the semiotic concept of discourse we aim to develop a discussion about the process of constructing the scientific discourse, that is, the modeling process of scientific law declarations through linguistics texts, whereas a imposed enunciation. For that, we distinguish three basic components:1. Intention, which is a motivation, animpulse for the discourse generation; 2. Enunciation, which express the scientific text itself; and 3. Legislation,which assumes a law enunciation. All this is established in order to assume a discourse of truth, including the correspondence with mathematical proofs. So, we characterize the symbolic manipulation of self evidence empirical facts which are reflected into the enunciations by a law format.

Scientific style is one of the functional styles, which is now actively and dynamically developing. It aims to reflect the phenomena of linguistic reality and the processes of the society modern development. The mandatory features of the scientific texts syntax can be completed to the abstractivness and generalization, which are manifested as the exception of a personal subject of action (deagency) from the sentence structure and the wide applicability of nominalizing structures (the nominal nature of a statement). One of the ways to implement the deagency and nominal nature of a statement of scientific thought is the use of introductory constructions. Activation of introductory units in modern Ukrainian scientific speech is an innovative phenomenon. They have different extralinguistic nature and perform tasks that implement various communication patterns. The use of introductory constructions in a scientific text is necessary not only for the expressiveness of the message, but also for semantic integrity, which is ensured by combining all parts of the text around one topic. They help to realize such categories of the text as coherence, modality, consistency, and articulation. The specificity of the choice of introductory units depends on author's individual style, his thoughts about a particular problem, and predetermines the choice of linguistic means for conducting scientific discussion or argumentation. The article traces new trends in the communicative and pragmatic organization of modern Ukrainian scientific discourse due to the use of various types of introductory constructions. Their main functions and stylistic manifestations within the most important semantic groups are identified; the ways of structural and grammatical, and functional and stylistic diversity of introductory words, word combinations and sentences are established. Analyzing the actual material regarding the use of introductory words, phrases and sentences in modern Ukrainian scientific discourse, we state that they acquire a wider use and stylistic weight, serve as a means of implementing several communicative and pragmatic functions: text and connectedness, accent and affirmative, accent and hypothetical, and appraisal functions. There is a noticeable tendency towards the predominant use of the Ukrainian proper introductory words, phrases and sentences, which are increasingly confidently squeezing out of use common early introductory units, which testifies to the Ukrainization of scientific speech.

The aim of the present research is to reveal different stylistic devices that impart expressiveness as well as emotionality to the literary critical text. Being a historical category, scientific style is first of all based on the development of the scientific thought and is characterized by the state of the national language and by the abilities and skills of the author, as well as that of the reader, for whom the scientific text is meant. Scientific prose requires the use of a specific discourse, sometimes with a certain amount of ambiguity and indefiniteness. In recent years, there has been a significant rise in studies concerning the usage of different stylistic devices in scientific discourse, which is a direct indication of a complex dialectical relationship of the two main functional styles. All these elements of emotionality are necessary elements for the literary critical text. They essentially serve as additional reinforcements for the final clarification of the thought which is expressed in a neutral way. It should be noted that the fictive elements play a significant role in scientific discourse, thus contributing to the clarification of scientific theories and principles.

Trata-se de uma reflexão sobre a citação no âmbito de abrangência de uma formação discursiva específica, o discurso científico Discute-se a citação no texto científico a partir das contribuições do princípio do dialogismo que atravessa a teoria bakhtiniana da linguagem, problematizando-a como um fenômeno tanto intertextual como polifônico. Considera-se que a citação envolve dimensões intersubjetivas muito além das dimensões técnicas, tratadas de uma perspectiva instrumental em manuais de metodologia da pesquisa. <br> <br> <B>Palavras-chave</B>: intertextualidade, dialogismo, polifonia. <br> <br> <br> <B>Abstract</B>: This is a reflection about the quotation in the scope of a specific discursive formation, the scientific discourse. We discuss the quotation in the scientific text from the contributions of the dialogism principle. Which goes through the Bakhtin’s Language Theory, making it like a phenomenon as intertextual as poliphonic. It has been considered that the quotation involves intersubjective dimensions further the technical dimensions dealing with an instrumental perspective in research methodology manuals. <br> <br> <B>Key words</B>: intertextuality, dialogism, polyphony.

The article analyses persuasion mechanisms in advertisements. Abstracts of English scientific editions taken from advertising catalogues of foreign Publishing Houses are used as the experimental material for the research. Abstracts are treated as a special type of minitexts, combining features of scientific and advertising discourse. Intertextual elements are an integral part of the scientific discourse, and being used as a structural element of the abstract, they serve as a means of facilitating the merge of the two discourses. An attempt is made to classify the intertextual elements according to their content. The obtained results enable to conclude that opinions by far outnumber comments. Quotations were further systematized according to the pragmatic function they perform, as a result, five types of quotations were singled out, which ratio makes it possible to draw another conclusion that the functional paradigm of the intertextual elements in the advertising abstracts of scientific books undergoes some changes compared to the original scientific text. In the abstracts of scientific books, quotations, in addition to the referential function, acquire distinct imperative and evaluative functions, and this makes them an instrument of persuasion.

The aim of the article is to disclose some general trends in scientific discourse studies that have emerged by the second decade of the 21 st century, to characterize scientific discourse as a means of promoting knowledge, and to consider its contribution to public communication. The notion of scientific discourse incorporates both conventional (scientific articles, reviews, theses, dissertation abstracts) and modern forms of discourse (online academic conferences, symposia, colloquiums, seminars). The research is viewed in the article as a result of scientists' social activity targeted at new knowledge discovery and broadcasting, whilst the scientific text is defined in terms of verbal representation of the research results in a par with new knowledge transmission. Two types of determinants are introduced to regulate the model of scientific text composition – internal and external. The internal determinant is represented by discursive structures, which promote knowledge in scientific text as the element of scientific communication, while the external dominant is represented by extralinguistic factors, which provide the promotion of scientific discourse outside the professional community (socializing). Воth kinds of determinants provide the interpretation of the scientific discourse as open systems. An assumption is made on the increasing role of external determinant in discursive extension of modern scientific text by means of the Internet; the addressee factor wider representation and scientific knowledge inclusion into cross-cultural communication.

Abstract The convincing argument that Brette makes for the neural coding metaphor as imposing one view of brain behavior can be further explained through discourse analysis. Instead of a unified view, we argue, the coding metaphor's plasticity, versatility, and robustness throughout time explain its success and conventionalization to the point that its rhetoric became overlooked.

Orta Çağdan hemen sonra gelen Yeni Çağın başlarındaki bilimsel tartışmalarda şarlatanlar çok büyük bir önem taşırdı; çünkü o dönemde söz sahibi olan bilim insanları onları olumsuz örnekler olarak görür ve bu olumsuzlukları kullanarak bilim için ideal ölçütler saptarlardı. Bilimde bu şekilde “negatif figür” (Hole Rößler) olarak gösterilen şarlatanlar, edebiyatta daha çeşitli ve kompleks biçimlerde ortaya çıkmakta, hatta kimi zaman karizmatik kişilikler olarak tasvir edilmektedir. Bu durum özellikle şarlatan figürünün yoğun bir şekilde sahnelendiği Alman Edebiyatında 18. yüzyılın sonlarında, 19. yüzyılın başlarında görülmektedir. Aynı zamanda söz konusu devirde yazılmış eserlerdeki şarlatanların neredeyse hiçbirinin yerleşik yaşam insanı olmadığı göze çarpmaktadır. Bitmeyen yolculukları gibi bu bağlamda sürekli kıyafet değiştirmeleri ve rol yapmaları da onların kişiliklerine esrarengiz bir hava katmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Christoph Martin Wieland, Friedrich Schiller ve Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’ye ait eserlerdeki şarlatan karakterinin farklı işlevleri irdelenecektir. Çalışmanın sonucunda şimdiye kadar gözardı edilmiş şarlatan figürüyle birlikte Göç Edebiyatı kapsamındaki araştırmalara yeni bir bakış açısı kazandırmak hedeflendirmektedir.ABSTRACT IN ENGLISHCharlatan Traveller and Migration Literature: A Reading with the Conflict Model At the beginning of modern times, charlatans emerged as of great importance to the scientific discourse of those spokesmen of the scholar community who use them as negative examples and thus define ideal standards for their profession. Charlatans were seen as “negative figures” (Hole Rößler) in science; however, the way they were judged in literature was more complex and varied, and, in some texts, they even seem congenial and charismatic. This phenomenon can be noticed in German literature especially around 1800 when the charlatan figure is used very often. Moreover, it is conspicuous that charlatans in literary depictions of this period generally have no home and travel around constantly. Furthermore, the fact that they change their clothing and camouflage permanently offers to their identity a mysterious dimension. In the field of studies designated as ,Literature and Migration’, this paper aims to provide interpretative perspectives and, in this respect, examines the issue concerning the poetic functions of charlatan travellers as rendered textually in a number of relevant passages chosen from the works of Christoph Martin Wieland, Friedrich Schiller, and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

This essay looks at Fassbinder's Berlin Alexanderplatz to trace the  film's transformation of a mechanistic scientific discourse into  affective indeterminacy. Through patterns of repetition of a key event, the film considers its protagonist as a complex web of constantly shifting forces – a network of biological, social, political and semiotic flows coalescing in a body that exists in a state of perpetual oscillation between force and mutilation, ecstasy and pain. The role of physics and other materialist discourses in the film is thus not to fixate subjectivity, but rather to provide a passage into its affective transformations and the intense desubjectification that results.
