This objective is to describe how the process of affirming a child's faith to be more firm in Jesus Christ, even though there are other beliefs around the child, even the child's intellect is attacked by the internet, research at school or the environment. The assurance of salvation in Jesus needs to be strengthened, especially in Christian children. Confirming the safety of children in Jesus is done through evangelism. This study uses qualitative research methods and the informants in this study were nine children. Interview method. The results of the study found that three children who believed were saved in Jesus with an understanding because they believed Jesus had saved, while the other six believed they were saved because they did spiritual activities. This can provide evidence that most children have not seen clear reasons why believing in Jesus and Jesus guarantees salvation for every believer because the tutors have not maximized evangelism to children, so that it has not had an impact on confirming the belief in child safety.

This paper is included in the First Monday Special Issue: Commercial Applications of the Internet, published in July 2006. This paper reports initial findings from a study that used quantitative and qualitative research methods and custom–built software to investigate online economies of reputation and user practices in online product reviews at several leading e–commerce sites (primarily Amazon.com). We explore several cases in which book and CD reviews were copied whole or in part from one item to another and show that hundreds of product reviews on Amazon.com might be copies of one another. We further explain the strategies involved in these suspect product reviews, and the ways in which the collapse of the barriers between authors and readers affect the ways in which these information goods are being produced and exchanged. We report on techniques that are employed by authors, artists, editors, and readers to ensure they promote their agendas while they build their identities as experts. We suggest a framework for discussing the changes of the categories of authorship, creativity, expertise, and reputation that are being re–negotiated in this multi–tier reputation economy.

This study concerned the diglossic situation in Rainbow Rowell’s Eleanor & Park, written in 2016. It aimed to describe the use of two different varieties of English in the novel, that is, H (high) variety and L (low) variety of the language. These varieties were found in terms of function, prestige, lexicon (vocabulary) and grammar used by some of the characters in the novel when speaking to each other. The results showed that, in terms of function, the recitation or reading of a poem by one of the characters was conducted in H (high) variety. The H (high) variety used was more prestigious. In terms of grammar, the H (high) variety was also used by a teacher when appreciating his female student who had just recited or read the poem. Some of the words or lexicons used by some of the other characters of the novel were in the form of L (low) varieties. The analysis was conducted through the qualitative research methods proposed by Creswell (2009: 4) who explained that this type of research method is a means for exploring and understanding the meaning individuals or groups ascribe to a social or human problem. Keywords: diglossic situation, high variety, low variety

The Post-It® procedure: a meaningful and manageable interview method The interview is one of the most important data collection instruments that used in qualitative research methods. However, doing an interview and using the data correctly is less straightforward than it may seem. Too often, especially while doing interpretative-descriptive research, during the phase of analysis important questions surface with regard to the validity of the instrument and the gathered data. At that stage, such questions sometimes prove difficult to resolve. The Post-It interview method is an alternative way of interviewing that tackles these questions by giving more structure to the interview beforehand. In addition, it offers the opportunity to do the so-called ‘member check’ during the interview itself. This leads to an interview procedure that is at the same time more meaningful to interviewer and interviewee, and more feasible to carry out. This article describes the proposed procedure and discusses some preliminary experiences in using the method.

Cross-cultural evangelism is the duty of all believers without exception. In Acts 10 there is an interesting phenomenon related to cross-cultural service. In the verse it is recorded that the apostle Peter was given the task by God through a vision to go to Cornelius's place, to preach about Jesus. Cornelius was a Greek while the apostle Peter was Jewish. The Apostle Peter was a Jew who held strong Jewish customs. This shows the cross-cultural service that is happening. This article aims to describe the implementation of cross-cultural services based on Acts 10:34-43. The author uses descriptive qualitative research methods by analyzing data such as books and journals. From the results of the analysis, the authors found that the church needs to introduce Christ as a God who loves everyone, preach that everyone deserves salvation, deliver the news of peace through Jesus Christ to all, and deliver the news of peace through Jesus Christ to everyone. The church's awareness of the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus is one of them is to implement cross-cultural ministry, specifically in terms of evangelism.

Reality of pluralism in the contexs of Indonesia on the one hand, is a challenge towards the implementation of Christian Religious Education. However, on the other hand, Christian Religious Education is becoming very essential for Christians to demonstrate the love of God in the midst of society. Christians are always in touch with adherents of other religions, even that kind of relation feels so strong in various areas of life. This problem triggers how the idea of implementing the Christian Education is relevant in the pluralistic context in Indonesia. This study was analyzed using qualitative research methods through library research techniques. Findings showed that, in the pluralistic context, the implementation of Christian Religious Education in Indonesia as an integral part of the mission can be carried out through three aspects, namely: revitalizing the thinking paradigm about pluralism; interpreting the implementation strategy of Christian Religious Education in a pluralistic society; and mainstreaming and buliding the vision and mission of multicultural based Christian Religious Education.

This chapter explores the vision of “anytime, anywhere” in the context of mobile work. The exploration is done empirically. Using qualitative research methods, we studied to what extent the work tasks they do are dependent on time and place. We analyzed the data using a 2x2 matrix, with the two axes “time” and “space,” which both have the categories “dependent” and “independent.” One of the four situations is “anytime, any where,” while the other three are dependent on time, place or both. We found instances of work in all four categories. Some traveling seems very difficult to escape, simply because there are places that staff need to visit physically to do their job. For example, to repair a telephone pole, you need to go there. We also found there are timeframes that staff cannot escape. For example, rebooting parts of the telephone network has to be done at night. Lastly, there are work tasks that seem pretty much independent of time and space, e.g., scheduling and rescheduling of activities. Accordingly, the vision of “anytime, anywhere” is not easy to realize in the case of the mobile workers we studied.
