The paper deals with the comparative assessment of competence level of transport system experts. The high level of competence of the experts is the premise to ensure the quality of the expertise of the systems insufficiently formalized from a mathematical point of view and characterized with a high degree of uncertainty. Six factors for assessing the competence of transport system experts were summarized. The values of the priority vector of the competence factors were established with the application of the Saaty algorithm and scale in nine points by the method of comparisons in pairs. The value of the concordance ratio of the experts' opinion for the prioritization matrix was calculated. The comparative competence coefficient of the experts in transport systems was calculated and the hierarchy of experts was established according to the value of the nominal coefficient.

Abstract Integrated passenger transport system consists of many factors with various impacts on the entire system quality. In passenger transport, there are mostly individual passengers therefore it is difficult to determine all transport requirements. In the passenger transport system, there are several modes of transport, but passengers mostly use road and rail transport. Passenger transport system is influenced by many qualitative factors with various impacts. The paper is focused on analysis of the role of railways in integrated passenger transport systems. The analysis is from passenger point of view because the key element in railway passenger transport is the passenger (customer), who requires the transport from one place to another. A basic precondition for accomplishing the main requirement (transport), is making the complete offer which provides not only transport, but also other complementary services. There are several types of passenger trains, which jointly create a part of integrated transport system. Quality of this transport system depends on train route topology, timetable of trains, number and location of all stations and stops. Primary function of the transport system is providing transport for passengers on regional, national-interregional and international level; therefore, the analysis involves these levels.

The goal of civil engineering has always been the research and implementation of methods, technologies, and infrastructures to improve the community’s quality of life. One of the branches of civil engineering that has the strongest effect on progress is transport. The quality of transport has a profound economic and social impact on our communities regarding trade (freight transport) and city livability (public transport systems). However, innovation is not the only way to improve the features above-mentioned, especially public transport, considering that it is usually beneficial to enhance and repurpose vehicles with appropriate adjustments to offer more efficient services. Other perspectives that influence public transport systems are the costs and times of design and construction, maintenance, operating costs, and environmental impact, especially concerning CO2 emissions. Considering these issues, among the various types of existing public transport systems, those of the so-called Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) offer worthwhile results. The BRT system is a type of public road transport operated by bus on reserved lanes, and it is significantly profitable, especially from an economic point of view, in areas where there are existing bus routes. Nonetheless, for the construction of works minimization, it is closely linked to other features that improve its usefulness, depending on the vehicles’ quality such as capacity, but above all, the propulsion or driving autonomy that would guarantee high efficiency. This paper introduces an analysis of some BRT systems operating worldwide, presenting the background, general technical features, and the correlation with autonomous vehicles.

Abstract The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the key improvement methods for smart transport system reliability and quality. The authors claim that the improvement of reliability and quality of information systems including smart transport systems is linked to the problem of improving the redundancy and structural complexity of systems. They suggest using the incomplete functional redundancy method to improve the reliability and quality of operation for multifunctional smart transport systems. This method is deemed promising because it facilitates the efficient use of the technical means of smart transport systems.

In this paper innovative urban individual transport systems have been discussed. The results of the survey conducted on a group of 250 people, of which the largest part were residents of the city in the youngest age group 18-24 shows that knowledge about modern forms of transport and the possible willingness to use them, is not at a high level. The reason is the attachment of society to material goods and lack of awareness about the benefits that the user gains, but also the inhabitants in the aspect of improving the quality of life in the city. The future of transport belongs to systems that are focused on the lack of belonging and sharing economy. The concluded analysis proves that the systems functioning in the States are profitable and convenient for the residents, and the companies constantly develop their offer by expanding with modern solutions and facilities. In Poland, the change of residents habits regarding the forms of mobility will occur with the increase of popularity of modern systems, and this can be obtained by emphasizing the promotion in means of transport, at bus stops, and in the media. Forecasts indicate a steadily growing market value of innovative urban transport systems, which will improve the standard of living in crowded cities.

Abstract The active introduction of information and communication (digital) technologies into the modern reality of transport systems operation requires the development of modeling methods for the creation of software that allows to do the following: determine the formal efficiency of decisions made in digital transport systems (DTS); process large volumes of DTS data; perform analysis of DTS functioning environment using artificial intelligence algorithms, analytical analogues of neural networks, etc. A digital transport system, being a complex system, is determined by a large set of formalized indicators (database) and requires finding effective solutions for a sufficiently large number of criteria or signs of effectiveness. Obtaining reliable solutions in multi-criteria information situations causes difficulties, which are objective. In most cases modern mathematical models artificially reduce multi-criteria information situations to single-criteria categories. This approach, based on the use of integral criteria, has a fundamental disadvantage - the use of integral criteria to obtain estimates of the efficiency of actions or processes in complex systems is characterized by a high level of subjectivism. In this case, the obtained solution may be acceptable, but not an objective result. Therefore, it is necessary to develop mathematical models for solving multi-criteria problems applicable to the solution of problems in complex transport systems, allowing one to operate in the environment of large databases for operational reconfiguration of a management system in conditions of uncertainty and/or possible counteraction of the external environment. The article presents the results of development of mathematical methods of modeling, which allow us to construct algorithms for solving optimization tasks, formulated as multi-criteria models and in the presence of a high degree of uncertainty in the interaction of the system with the environment.

Abstract The problem of ensuring the reliability of heterogeneous transport systems is extremely multifaceted and covers all stages of development - from design to operation. To increase efficiency, there is a need to harmonize the processes taking place in heterogeneous systems within the framework of single transport communication. The lack of appropriate theoretical justification leads in practice to the emergence of insufficiently substantiated decisions, because of which subsequent efforts made to eliminate the discovered shortcomings are, as a rule, costly and ineffective. Assessment of the system of integrated regulation of the transport system, from the point of view of its sustainability, is an indispensable condition for its operational efficiency and reliability. The efficiency of transport processes assumes that the effective functioning of local transport systems is ensured by the level of interaction between participants in the transport process, modes of transport that create positive dynamics of transit freight turnover. The paper substantiates the need for complex interaction in the management of the regional transport system, considering the interaction of adjacent modes of transport in a single information space. The method describes in detail the solution of forecasting and coordination problems in maritime transport systems, harmonization of the interests of heterogeneous transport in solving forecasting and control problems.

The results of a comparative empirical study of the psychological well-being of people of elderly age are presented in the article. We tried to test the hypothesis that the psychological well-being of people in elderly age is determined by a number of social factors (involvement in professional activities and the presence of close interpersonal relationships). We tried to determine which components cause a high level of psychological well-being in the elderly age. In the result of the study we found that working respondents have more autonomy than non-working respondents. They have a high degree of responsibility and high self-esteem. They are satisfied with the quality of their lives. The connection between marital status as a factor of close interpersonal relationships and levels of psychological well-being of a people in elderly age was not found. It was found that average and high levels of psychological well-being of people of elderly age are determined by such components as a high subjectness of personality, selfworth, meaningfulness of life, presence of life goals, life satisfaction, satisfaction with the results of life, ability to life management, interest in life, positive self-esteem, positive mood, consistency in achieving goals and consistency between the set and achieved goals.
