This study aims to determine and explain: the description of the role of leadership styles at University of Sumatera Utara through motivating the application of Kaizen culture to employee performance. The type of research used in this research is an explanatory research using quantitative methods. The variables in this study are: leadership style and improvement culture as independent variables, work motivation as the mediating variable, and employee performance as the dependent variable. This research uses primary data in the form of responses to the questionnaire, as well as secondary data obtained through documents. The data analysis method used is path analysis. The results of path analysis show that: leadership style variables have a positive and significant impact on employee performance, Leadership style variables have a positive and significant impact on motivation, Kaizen cultural variables have a positive and significant impact on employee performance, Kaizen cultural variables have a positive and significant impact on motivation, and motivation variables have significant effects on employee performance. Influence; the leadership style variables have a positive and significant impact on employee performance through motivation; the improvement of culture has a positive and significant impact on employee performance through motivation. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style on employee performance with work motivation as an intervening variable in the Indonesian Export Financing Institution at the Makassar Regional Office. The population of this study were all employees of the Indonesian Export Financing Institution. The number of samples taken in this study were 50 respondents. The sampling method used in this study is the probability sampling method. Data collection in this study is to use archive strategies namely primary data and secondary data. Data were analyzed using multicollinearity and Path Analysis. The results of this study indicate that leadership style has a significant effect on work motivation. Leadership style also has a significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation significantly influences employee performance. Leadership style has a significant effect on employee performance through work motivation.

The purpose of this research is to know and analyze the influence of transformational leadership style, work motivation and discipline to employee performance at PT Berkah Makmur. This research is a kind of causal associative research which is obligatory for relationship relation between one variable with other variable or the like. The population in this study are employees who work in PT Berkah Makmur. Sampling method using saturated sampling technique with the number of samples of 32 respondents. Primary data were collected through questionnaires, secondary data. Data analysis method used is descriptive and quantitative analysis method with multiple linier regression analysis technique. The result of hypothesis test show that transformational leadership style and work motivation have no effect on employee performance in Koperasi Berkah Makmur, but discipline to employee performance in Koperasi Berkah Makmu. Determination coefficient test shows 813% employee performance can be explained by the variables of transformational leadership style, work motivation, and discipline, while the remaining 18.7% is explained by other factors not included in this study

This study aims to analyze how competence, compensation and work motivation jointly affect the performance of KPU employees in Banyuasin Regency. The General Election of Banyuasin Regency used quantitative methods, using a saturated sampling sample in the study of 20 employees. In this study, the types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. Hypothesis testing through t test and F test using SPSS analysis tools. The results of data processing using SPSS 20, using the t test that t counts 4,330> t table 2.003 There is an influence of competence on performance; that t count 4.181> t table 2.003 positive and significant effect of compensation on performance; t count 4.469> t table 2.003 there is a positive and significant influence of motivation on performance; and F count 34.356> F table 4.883 and a significance level of 0.00 <0.05, that there is a positive and significant effect on the competency, compensation and motivation patterns together on performance, with a determination coefficient of 77.5%, the rest is influenced by other variables. The conclusion of the research is that competence, compensation and motivation have a positive and significant effect on performance either partially or simultaneously. Strategies to improve employee performance at the KPU Banyuasin Regency can be done by first increasing employee motivation to increase broad knowledge of knowledge in supporting work implementation, then increase. competence to be consistent in having a good attitude with colleagues.

This study aims to determine the extent of the role of happiness at work in improving employee performance in the head office of BKKBN, both directly and indirectly. The approach of research uses quantitative methods. Primary data were collected by distributing questionnaires. Analysis of data processed by descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using the Structural Equation Model through SmartPLS software to 200 respondents data. The results showed that happiness at work had not directly effect employee performance, but when the relationship was mediated by work motivation there was a positive and significant effect between happiness at work on employee performance.

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of gamification, e-service quality and e-trust variables on online purchase decision through online purchase intention at the Shopee marketplace in Medan City. This type of research is using a quantitative approach. The nature of this research is associative research and the data used are primary data and secondary data obtained through documentation and a list of questions that measure it using a Likert scale. The sample in this study is the community in Medan City at least 17 years old, has a Shopee marketplace application and is a consumer who has purchased and used the Shopee marketplace at least 1 time as many as 175 respondents. Researchers collected data by distributing questionnaires to all respondents in this study. The data analysis method used descriptive statistical analysis and path analysis. Statistical results show that the majority of respondents agree with all the statements shared. The results of the research on the first substructure show that gamification has a positive and significant effect on online purchase intention with a significance of 0.000, e-service quality has a positive and insignificant effect on online purchase intention with a significance of 0.836 and e-trust has a positive and significant effect on online purchase intention with a significance of 0.000. The results of the research on the second substructure show that gamification has a positive and significant effect on online purchase decision with a significance of 0.031, e-service quality has a negative and insignificant effect on online purchase decision with a significance of 0.721, e-trust has a positive and significant effect on online purchase decision with a significance of 0.002 and online purchase intention has a positive and significant effect on online purchase decision with a significance of 0.000. The path analysis test using the sobel test shows that online purchase intention is able to mediate between gamification and e-trust with online purchase decision, but online purchase intention are not able to mediate e-service quality with online purchase decision. This research was conducted at the Spazzio Kuta Bali hotel using saturated samples of 35 employees. Furthermore, the collected data was analyzed using descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results of this study conclude that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee work motivation, where the better the application of transformational leadership is ensured also the higher the level of motivation of work held by employees. Transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, where if transformational leadership goes well and effectively it can have an effect on improving employee performance. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, where if the higher the work motivation of the employee, the higher the level of employee performance. Work motivation is positively and significantly able to mediate transformational leadership style towards employee performance, that is if the applied leadership style can precisely direct organizational goals with individual needs, the higher the motivation of the subordinates which will further improve their performance. The population in this study were all employees of Kembayan Public Health Center, with the sampling technique of the entire population with a sample size of 77 people. This type of research is included in the explanatory research. Methods of data collection by distributing questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Methods of data analysis using Path Analysis with SPSS 22 software. The instrument used for data collection was a Likert scale model questionnaire.Based on the research results, the variables of leadership style, organizational culture, work motivation and employee performance at the Kembayan Health Center generally showed good results. From the results of the path analysis test, it can be concluded that: (1) the variable leadership style and organizational culture do not have a significant effect on work motivation. Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of direct com- pensation variable and indirect compensation variable on motivation variable, to determine the effect of direct compensation variable and indirect compen- sation variable on employee performance variable, and to determine the effect of direct compensation and indirect compensation variable on employee per- formance variable with motivation as intervening variable This kind of re- search is explanatory research with quantitative approach by using question- naire. Research sample are 55 employee of PT. Citra Buana Prakarsa. This re- search use descriptive analysis method, path analysis, partially and simul- taneity trial. Statistical calculations show that direct compensation  signify- cantly contributing to work motivation with value 0.347, and indirect compen- sation significantly contributing the work motivation with value 0.379. Direct compensation significantly contributing to employee performance with value0.590. Indirect compensation significantly contributing to employee perfor- mance with value 0.529. The results of this study are direct compensation, indi- rect compensation, and work motivation have a significant influence on em- ployyee performance. Keyword : Compensation, Employee Performance, Motivation

Government agencies' service standards have been established based on MENPAN Decree No. 25/2004. Therefore it is necessary to review the giving of work motivation, so that job satisfaction and performance can be improved again. The purpose of this research is to measure and analyze the direct and indirect effects of service quality, work motiva-tion, on job satisfaction and performance and to measure and analyze the direct influence and indirect effect between job satisfactions on employee performance. The sample of the study consisted of 200 people taxpayers service staff Palangka Raya BPPRD Office. Research data in the form of primary and secondary data obtained through observation and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using path analysis, while the job satisfaction variable was an intervening varia-ble and performance was the dependent variable (the dependent variable). From the results of path analysis where the direct effect between service quality on job satisfaction and on performance has a significant effect, and work motiva-tion on job satisfaction is not significant. While the indirect effect (indirect effects) quality of service on performance through job satisfaction with a coefficient of 0.115 is greater than work motivation on performance through job satis-faction by 0.030, meaning that work motivation on performance through job satisfaction has a non-significant effect.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership style and organizational culture on the performance of employees of PT PLN (Persero) Region of Papua and West Papua Manokwari Area. This research is an associative study using quantitative data. Data sources include primary data and secondary data. The population in this study were all employees of PT PLN (Persero) in the Papua and West Papua Areas of the Manokwari Area. The sampling method uses simple random sampling with the number of respondents 67 employees. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that, both partially (t test) and simultaneously (F test), leadership style and organizational culture had a significant effect on employee performance. Adjusted R Square value of 0.495 shows that 49.5% of the variation in the performance of employees of PT PLN (Persero) in the Papua and West Papua Areas of Manokwari is influenced by leadership style and organizational culture.
