Distance education is essentially the basis for the development of educational institutions that provide innovative services, which cannot be obtained elsewhere. It is believed that distance education is a substitute for the traditional as part of simplifying and cheapening the learning process. At the same time, the leading global trends suggest the need for the development of elements of self-education and the expansion of the geographical nature of educational offers. The relevance of the study is that it is necessary to distinguish between the use of distance education methods in the traditional sphere and the sphere of training professionals. The paper presents the concept of the need to integrate elements of distance education in the process of preparing university teachers. The authors believe that teachers in drawing up courses and applying learning technologies use the same techniques as in distance learning. Therefore, the use of distance learning technologies can be shown as the basis for the development of advanced training programs and additional professional education. The authors proposed a study on the need and sufficiency of the use of distance education technologies and the possibilities for their integration into the process of postgraduate education. The practical significance of the work is determined by the fact that the possibilities of self-development of teachers are fully disclosed, not only as subjects of the educational process but also as subjects of training.

Most of the educational institutions in Ukraine were forced to switch to distance learning, which is why there arose the question about the availability of technical means to ensure the fullness of educational process. The article investigates modern systems of testing students' knowledge in the process of distance education. Currently, there are quite a few LMS (learning management systems) that can optimize the learning process of distance education. The works of scientists related to the problems of organizing effective learning and the complexity of the transition to distance learning are considered. This article assumes the method of testing not on-ly as a tool to assess the level and quality of learning, but also as a means to obtain recommen-dations for improving the learning process in the whole. Based on the results of the analysis, a comparative description was created and an assessment of the suitability for intermediate control of knowledge of primary and secondary school students, the most common at this stage of school distance learning online knowledge testing tools. Thus the advantages and disad-vantages of these tools are revealed. As a consequence the most universal systems that can fully provide the learning process in terms of distance education and the most convenient tools for assessing knowledge are identified.

The article discusses the problem of organizing classes in the discipline «Physical culture and sport» with the use of distance education technologies, which is a result of the insufficient development of the methodological base, and the procedure for organizing training sessions in the distance form. The subject of the research is the use of distance education technologies in physical culture and sports training sessions. The purpose of the research is to study the experience of work with the use of distance learning technologies, develop methodological support and make recommendations for organizing training sessions in the discipline «Physical culture and sport». The methodological basis of the research was formed by methods of studying and generalizing advanced pedagogical experience, pedagogical observation, and modeling. As a result of the study, the structure of the organization of the educational process in the discipline «Physical culture and sport» with the use of distance education technologies, methodological recommendations and the procedure for organizing training sessions have been developed. The results of the study will add to the methodological base for organizing training sessions in the discipline «Physical culture and sport» not only in educational institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, but also in educational institutions of other departments. The obtained results of the research will be useful for lecturers, lecturers-methodologists of educational departments of educational organizations, teachers, inspectors for service and combat training in organizing the educational process. Introduction. In spring 2020, Russia, as all other countries around the world, faced the challenge of massive shift of schools to online learning. This shift revealed the lack of existing empirical data on technological and instructional readiness of the local teaching communities to such learning format. Having regulatory and platform capacities for distance education at the national level, there was a widening gap between local teaching communities regarding their facilities and readiness to transform traditional learning process. Aim. This research is aimed at defining the attitude of teachers to the shift to distance learning, as well as their estimates of its potential for the learning process. Methodology and research methods. The current research is based on the ideas of innovation and technology acceptance, as well as planed behaviour that have been suggested by F. Davis, T. Guskey, M. Fishbein and I. Ajzen, and R. Puentedura. The research materials were collected via a survey completed by 239 learners of the online upskilling programme “Digitization of the educational process”. The survey was conducted in March-April 2020. Texts collected for the open-ended questions in the survey were subjected to the content analysis. Results. Judging from the survey results, local teaching communities multiplied their usage of online platforms and other e-learning technologies (messaging services, videoconferencing, etc.). Teachers highly evaluated their technological and instructional competencies for distance learning as early as in April 2020, while they perceived their pupils' readiness to such learning as moderate. At the same time, teachers moderately valued the state's contribution into the support of schools when they shift into massive distance learning, and showed significant interest in the non-state educational platforms. The majority of teachers believe that digital educational technologies are sufficient for high-quality teaching of their disciplines and achieving their learning objectives. The survey results demonstrated significant internal potential of the regional education system for a change, technological and instructional development. Scientific novelty consists of a deep analysis of a specific local pedagogical community, based on the collection of material about the reflection of school staff on technological and methodological changes in education specifically in the period of active transformational changes. A high internal potential of the local pedagogical community for transformation on the basis of operational empirical measurements has been recorded. Practical significance. The present research shows that respondents, who perform remote teaching during the Covid-19 quarantine, perceive digital technologies as approachable, helpful and already date-to-date tools; the regional teachers proved to be self-reflexing and flexible. The deficits and growing points that the teachers defined, should be used to navigate the actions of the decision makers responsible for distance learning at school during and after the quarantine.

This article proposes a research vision of the problem of using CLIL training in the context of distance education in schools and universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The relevance of the study is due to the lack of the research devoted to the content analysis of the integration of CLIL learning and distance learning technologies, as well as the need to identify the features and universal problems, characteristic of the practice of CLIL learning in distance learning format. The diagnosis of this problem was carried out through an online survey of school teachers and university teachers acting as experts on the implementation of CLIL training in educational institutions of the Republic. To develop a methodology and tools for online survey of teachers scientific works in the field of CLIL training and distance education technologies on the creation of educational resources and a virtual learning environment and on the sociology of education were studied. When processing the results of the survey, we used statistical and descriptive research methods. The results of the online survey confirmed the hypothesis of the study that the main problem of using CLIL technology is the problem of resource provision of the CLIL training program in the context of distance education, as well as the level of methodological and IT-training of school teachers and university teachers. Other features of using CLIL technology in a distance format are as follows: the school teachers and university teachers have an appropriate set of basic competencies of a teacher practicing CLIL training, and, at the same time, their insufficiency for the implementation of the educational process in the context of distance education and, accordingly, the need to acquire additional competencies required by the teacher for the application of CLIL technology in a distance format

Today higher educational institutions should prepare a specialist, who is able to work successfully in globalized market conditions. Accent is made stronger on universal preparation of graduate student and his adaptation to jobs market, as well as on personal orientation of educational process and its informatization. The article considers a concept of distance learning technologies and their support systems. Designed system of distance learning for IT-specialists preparation based on a platform Moodle is a result of the study. The system ensures hierarchic organization of learning courses thanks to using an interactive multimedia clips in Adobe Flash format. As well as there is a possibility to organize various forms of learning and knowledge control.

This article is aimed at identifying the peculiarities of students' attitude to distance education. As a leading method, the questionnaire method was used, which made it possible to identify the students’ positive and negative attitudes regarding distance learning more effectively. The article considers students' ideas about distance learning, identifies the positive and negative aspects of the distance learning process. The authors of the article in the process of research revealed that many students of various fields of study are interested in participating in distance courses, but within the framework of mastering a second education. Some students note the usefulness of distance courses, the use of their materials at any time, and the convenience of going back to the materials they have completed at any time to fill in gaps or recall a topic. Some students reported a violation of the educational process in the distance format due to the repeated lack of Internet or its poor quality. Most of the students expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of contact communication in the distance learning process. It is proved that the majority of students believe that distance education will never replace traditional education. Mainly students of technical areas of study gave a negative assessment of the distance education system. It was revealed that students of various fields of study took distance courses that were held in other cities or countries. From the point of view of many students, educational websites have an inconvenient interface.    Keywords: distance education, distance courses, students, learning process, pros and cons.

A specific example of the implementation of the process of distance education in the system of module-based dynamic learning is considered. The schemes of interaction of teachers with parents and students are presented, a model of building an educational process using distance and digital learning technologies is considered. The drawbacks of distance learning are analyzed and the ways of their leveling through the effective organization of interaction between the participants of the educational process are considered.

The article contains the results of the research aimed at studying the problems of teaching Physical Training by means of distance learning technologies in educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia during the period of additional health and hygiene measures taken in order to protect public health in conditions of COVID-19 spreading. The research attempts at finding the ways to resolve the contradiction between the necessity to use distance learning technologies for teaching Physical Training in educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, dictated by the current socio-economic situation, and the objective limitations of these methods in terms of the practice-oriented character of the discipline. Using theoretical analysis of the conclusions of the previously held studies of the topic and  their own observations and their comparison with the current practice of Physical Training teaching, the researchers detect the main obstacles of distance learning technologies and offer the ways to overcome them. The research results can be used for planning and organizing the educational process for Physical Training discipline in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

This study aimed to identify the difficulties that parents of students in the elementary stage faced during their distance learning and to identify statistical differences according to the study variables. The researcher used the descriptive method and prepared a questionnaire that included 22 items consisting of three subscales. The participants comprised a total of 456 parents of elementary school students in the Eastern Region, Riyadh, and Asir. The results showed the difficulties were at a high level, and the difficulties were in the following order: the organizational difficulties related to the learning environment, the difficulties related to the educational process, and the difficulties associated with technology. The results also showed statistically significant differences due to the gender, region, age, and educational level variable and that there were not statistically significant differences due to the number of children variable. The researcher recommends the necessity of intensifying efforts from educational institutions to prepare for distance education especially for the elementary stage and providing courses at the elementary stage using distance education to develop study skills and self-learning. China’s strong economic growth is undoubtedly due to a set of government initiatives, among which the priority projects are the reform of the higher education system. Since the 80s of the last century, the state has paid special attention to the training of scientific personnel. Thanks to far-sighted state planning and strong budget financing, China has created a competitive national system of postgraduate professional education almost from scratch. As a result, if only 9 postgraduate students were trained in 1978, then in 1985 – already 17004, in 1998 – 47077, and in 2018 – 604368. The number of doctorates degrees awarded from 2005 to 2018 more than doubled: from 27,677 to 60,700.The important factors in the formation of the system of postgraduate education is the promulgation of national laws and regulations governing this area of educational activity, a well-built mechanism for managing the work of postgraduate studies and a strict system to control all stages of the educational process for masters and doctoral students. Therefore, this article focuses on the organization of the learning process in Chinese universities and academic institutes, as well as the management mechanism of the national system of training scientific personnel.In addition, according to the data of China's Ministry of education, official statistical information, publications that are publicly available on the Chinese Internet, as well as scientific articles published in major publications around the world, it is shown how the number of universities and academic institutions that train masters and doctoral students, as well as the number of students, admission and graduation of specialists have changed over the past ten years.
