There is a universal consensus that improving employee performance is a cornerstone for any organization’s path to success and prosperity. However, when it comes to identifying what factors trigger such an improvement, there is anything but consensus among researchers. In this paper, a sample of government employees in the Sultanate of Oman is studied to discern the factors that affect employee performance. A factor analysis is applied to validate the constructs used to measure the various variables. A correlation analysis and a corresponding multiple linear regression is carried out to test the hypotheses. In contrast to many research findings, the results indicate that the only significant factor is technology; whereas leadership and organizational structure are neutral. The results are analyzed and discussed in view of the socio-cultural context of the Sultanate of Oman and the GCC region.

The objective of the chapter is to examine the factors that are essential for the green purchase behavior among the young consumers in India. The study consists of 343 young respondents, who were surveyed with the help of structured measurement instrument. The sample has been analyzed with the help of exploratory factor analysis and linear regression analysis. It was found in the study that the awareness towards the green product, attitude towards eco-labeling, and satisfaction via green products are significantly and positively linked to the green purchase behavior, whereas the attitude towards green pricing and ecologically concerned consumers are not associated with the green purchase behavior.

This research aims to discover and determine the factors (perceived usefulness and social presence) that may affect the intention to use e-commerce. The data has been collected manually distributed questionnaire. The analysis of collected data was done by using diverse statistical methods for reliability and hypotheses test like Cronbach’s alpha and multiple linear regression test. The research findings revealed a significant statistical impact of perceived usefulness and social presence on the intention to use e-commerce which interprets (36.5%) of the variation in the customers’ intention to adopt e-commerce. Consequently, companies are advised to invest more on building the e-commerce infrastructure as well as enhancing the people awareness about e-commerce as the results shows that still a lot of respondents are not sure about the e-commerce. Moreover, future studies may try to investigate more variables that may affect the intention to adopt e-commerce through using different models.

Objective: Active ageing constitutes one of the guiding perspectives on policies, but the factors influencing ageing have not received considerable attention. The present study aimed to identify the factors affecting active ageing management in Iran. Design: Drawing on quantitative data gathered through a questionnaire filled out by 287 participants and an interview with 20 experts. Main outcome measures: The instrument was a questionnaire based on the five-point Likert scale. Questions with CVR>0.49 and with CVI>0.7 were accepted. To assess the reliability of the questionnaire, Cronbach's alpha coefficient was (0.92) used. The adequacy of the sample size was estimated at 0.952, based on the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) index. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS Ver 22. An exploratory factor analysis was used to explore and evaluate the dimensions of the model through a mathematical approach. Also, confirmatory factor analysis was utilized to verify the model, using AMOS 24 software. Results: Eight factors were identified as effective factors in active ageing management in Iran, which include: Organizational structure (0/83), services (0/80), control (0/74), financing (0/72), government grants (0/71), policy making (0/68), selected area to focus (0/65), members (0/63). Organizational structure and member components had the most and least significant effects. Conclusions: Establishing a High Council with the presence of the President's representative, allocating a specific budget for the elderly, determining the responsibilities of the government and the related organizations, determining the responsibility and providing suitable services can lead to the effective management of active ageing.

This paper aims at studying the factors affecting green banking practices in Vietnam and the role of green banking in sustainable development of the Vietnamese economy. A large scale survey con-ducted with 32 banks and financial organizations in Vietnam to obtain 329 questionnaire forms in the period from May to July 2016 provides evidence for the research. By using EFA analysis and the regression model, we find that understanding the definitions of green banking, the current activities of green banking, the advantages in developing green banking, and the focused sectors have positive relationships with the willingness of Vietnamese banks to adopt green banking practices, whereas the barriers have negative relation-ships with the willingness to utilize green banking services among Vietnamese banks. From the research findings, we suggest some solutions to not only enhance the understanding of the importance of green banking in economic development but also improve the willingness to follow green banking practices among Vietnam’s banking institutions.
